Beachfront vacation rentals in Vaxholm Municipality

We spent 10 days in the house and had a wonderful time. The house is great! It is very quiet, it was super clean an nicely furnished. We used the Ferry to Vaxholm/Stockholm and the little beach a lot (each 10min walk). Clara gave good advices for the area and the house. We are very thankful for a great holiday!

The house is a real pearl in Stockholm archipelago, beautifully decorated which allows guests to understand the true living in this unique nature setting. The house is well equipped, with a spacious patio/deck for breakfast, lunch or dinner with brand new deck furniture. The house built in 1912, offers spectacular views from each room and is located next to a 1500 year old viking chiefs' grave shaped like a boat which gives a unique tie to the Scandinavian history. We experienced beautiful waterfront sunsets dining at the the dock house which offers charming overnight accommodations and has all the kitchen, dining/bbq equipment so guests can enjoy the dining at waterfront without running up to the main house. The sauna house is easy to use and guests can cool off stepping into the sea. For local excursions, the house is about 50 minutes drive to Stockholm old town. We thank the host Fredrik and his wife for a fantastic vacation in this spectacular Swedish nature reserve.

Wonderful place, we had an amazing holiday. Really close to central Stockholm but totally away from it at the same time. Amazing variety of water sports included. Perfect sunsets, wake up to an amazing view. Couldn’t recommend it more

Super mysigt och trevligt boende i skärgården, extremt trevlig och hjälpsam host. Lite knepig tillägning med egen båt över 7,5m, men det gick.

Vackert plats som inger natur och skärgårdskänsla trots nära till stan. Catja var en fantastisk värd som var snabb på att svara på mina frågor och tillmötesgående med allt. Hon kom till och med och hjälpte oss med instruktioner. Starkt rekommenderas till alla som vill ha en fin och fridfull vistelse. Tack Catja!

We came right before the season began, so things were extra quiet! The host met us at the bus stop which was a short walk away and VERY easy to navigate. He was so helpful when we wanted to go explore other islands and if something wasn’t in the rental space he got it for us! Also, I wish the states took note of FLOATING SAUNAS!!! That was such a dream!

ich habe mich bei Per sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Seehütte ist sehr einfach aber liebevoll eingerichtet. Man hat einen sagenhaften Blick aufs Wasser und wirklich seine Ruhe dort. Für mich war es perfekt. Wenn man mit der Fähre kommt, ist der Planungsaufwand etwas größer, da die Boote nur wenige Male am Tag an der Insel halten.

Wir liebten jede Sekunde unseres Aufenthalts. Schon bevor wir gebucht hatten, hatten wir eine nette Kommunikation mit Marie. Das Haus ist einfach traumhaft schön. Wir haben uns direkt wie bei Freunden gefühlt. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, es gab Kayaks, einen Grill, Angeln und noch vieles mehr. Wir haben uns keine Sekunde gelangweilt. Jeden Abend sind wir einmal auf über die Insel spaziert. Man kommt auch mit dem Boot schnell nach Stockholm. Wir kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder. Vielen Dank an Marie für ihre Gastfreundschaft, die nette Kommunikation und dass sie uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt hat. Die Woche war etwas ganz besonderes für uns.

We’ve had an amazing stay with friends and toddlers. The house was perfect for cooking and social evenings. We had bad weather which means we did not enjoy the pool as we hoped to, but luckily we enjoyed the sauna with breathtaking views. Mikael was responsive and always helpful when we had questions. Thank you!

We stayed with 2 families and it felt like being home in Sweden. The lake and the pool were loved by the kids. We had a great time!

Ein sehr schönes Haus. Wir haben es sehr sauber übernommen und die Endreinigung separat beauftragt, was bei den Göße des Hauses unbedingt zu empfehlen ist. Der Kontakt zu Fredrika war ausschließlich online, immer sehr nett. Wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder, dafür passten die 5 Zimmer mit Schlafmöglichkeit prima. Zumindest die beiden gößeren Betten waren für uns etwas zu weich, aber das ist Gewohnheitsache. Komplette Ausstattung des Hauses, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Draußen ein netter kleiner Pool und ein Gasgrill. Zum gut besuchten Strand im Ort sind es zu Fuß nur 10 Minuten, ebenso zur Bushaltestelle. Von dort kommt man in 25 Minuten ins Zentrum von Stockholm. Ein Einkaufszentrum ist auch in der Nähe. Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt und können das Haus sehr empfehlen.

We had a wonderful stay here as a family of 4 (2 teens). Everything is as described in this large comfortable home. We didn’t have a car so the location is fantastic for an archipelago and city holiday. Highlights - the sun filled lounge area with the hot tub and the peaceful garden - less then 10 min walk to beach area with diving boards and an amazing bakery/cafe; hot food truck and sweet shop - One evening we used the ToGoodToGo app for the bakery and picked up an amazing surprise bag for less than €5 - 5 min walk to a huge mall area with multiple grocery shops and restaurants. - We walked into Gustavsberg along a beautiful forest walk which took about 40 mins - 20 mins by bus into Stockholm (433 or 434 bus). It’s easy to miss the stop on the way back so best to get off at the shopping centre or the bakery. - A very minor point if it’s important to you, no hairdryer so bring a travel one!

Tomas was responsive and proactive. He made sure that we were familiar with the property and addressed any needs we had. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and cookware and eating utensils. The house was well decorated and provided a feeling of comfort. The home's design was fun and unique and the hot tub a perfect end for a busy day!

Eva and her family were very welcoming hosts. We had everything we needed and more during our stay at their beautiful and special place. We even enjoyed a bath in the pool. We had a lovely view from the terrace and the surrounding is also nice and green and with good restaurants. Thank you for having us!

Het prachtige huis van Johan en Laila voldoet aan alle wensen. Super ruim en mooi gelegen aan het water met hardloop trail. We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad dankzij de hele goede zorgen van de hosts. Echt een aanrader!

Vi hade en fantastisk vistelse, boendet ligger otroligt fint vid vattnet för bad och sol och huset har allt man kan tänkas behöva, grillplatsen var i synnerhet trevlig att vara på under kvällen! Även underhållande med alla fartyg som tyst kryssar förbi i fartleden. Kerstin var mycket trevlig och hjälpte oss med alla frågor, vi kände oss som hemma när vi kom fram med bäddade sängar och huset var väl utrustat och mycket fräscht. Vi kan varmt rekommendera detta boende och Kerstin :)

Absolutely breathtaking scenery and amazing place! Can only recommend Connie’s beautiful retreat. We visited as a family with 3 little ones and loved it from first moment. Thx and will certainly come back.

We had the best time at Annika's beautiful cabin! Nestled on the islet of Storholmen it's the perfect place for a tranquil break. The ferry from Ropsten takes about half an hour on the way out to Storholmen sidra. The cabin is idyllic and had absolutely everything we needed. It's well laid out, warm and comfortable and Annika had clearly thought of everything you might possibly need for your stay. The upstairs mezzanine is where the beds are which were really comfortable and cosy and we slept really well. The steps may be a little challenging though for those with limited mobility but were no bother for us. We fell in love with the cabin and the island and enjoyed watching the bats in the evening and looking out over the tranquil waters at night. We went for a morning dip in the sea every day and were so sad to leave it all behind to resume our normal lives. Thank you Annika for providing us with such a beautiful space and wonderful holiday Tilly & Nicky

Lotta’s place is without a doubt the nicest accommodation I’ve had on Storholmen so far. The cabin is small and very cozy, and you can feel the warmth and care in every detail. Communication was just right, and I was given my space – my privacy was respected. This allowed me to truly relax and unwind. The convenient connection to the ferry and to the city is a big advantage, making it easy to find a good balance between activity and peaceful quietness.

Gabriels Haus war wirklich ein Glücksgriff! Wir durften in diesem wunderschönen und modernen Haus, inmitten des Stockholmer Archipel wohnen. Die autofreie Insel strahlte eine wohltuende Ruhe aus, in der wir alle wunderbar abschalten und uns entspannen konnten. Und wenn wir es mal etwas quirliger mochten, dann fuhren wir bequem mit der Fähre (1 h) oder dem Bus (45 Min.), von der 5 Minuten entfernten Insel Vaxholm, nach Stockholm und tauchten in das bunte Treiben ein. Gabriel überließ uns freundlicherweise, gegen einen kleinen Aufpreis, sein kleines Boot. Unser persönliches Highlight. Damit waren wir von den Fähren ungebunden und konnten, wann immer wir wollten, schnell nach Vaxholm rüberschippern um einzukaufen, bummeln oder Kaffee zu trinken. Auch konnten wir so ein wenig die Nachbarinseln erkunden. Gabriel ist ein Vorzeigegastgeber. Unheimlich nett, hilfsbereit, unkompliziert und antwortet immer zeitnah auf unsere Fragen. Wir hatten als vierköpfige Familie eine wunderschöne Zeit in Madeleines schönem Häuschen! Ihr Mann Michael hat uns mit dem Boot abgeholt und ist dann noch Lebensmittel mit uns kaufen gefahren, inklusive Spezialitätenempfehlungen; einen besseren Start in die Weihnachtsferien konnten wir gar nicht haben. Das Haus ist genau so wie beschrieben, ebenso die Ausstattung. Wenn wir fragen hatten, konnten wir uns jederzeit an Michael oder Madeleine wenden. Die Aussicht auf das Wasser ist traumhaft und die Fährfahrt nach Stockholm ein Highlight für die ganze Familie.
