Cabin vacation rentals in Vallecito Lake

I had SUCH a wonderful stay at James and Kims' lovely cabin. It was adorable and comfortable. Close enough to town to easily pop in for groceries and such but still had that wonderful "away from it all" feeling. The cabin is located on a beautiful property with a gorgeous stream running right behind it and beautiful views of the mountains all around. James and Kim were extremely helpful, responsive, and kind. Can't recommend this place enough!

Lemon Lake Lodge was the perfect getaway for our extended family stay. We were here the week of Thanksgiving and everyone enjoyed their stay with sunny weather to snow. The view and surrounding area was breathtaking! Thank you for a memorable family vacation!

What a beautiful and very peaceful cabin right on the river! We loved every minute and hated to leave.

Excellent property and experience and was exactly as presented. The host was extremely friendly and responsive when needed. We will definitely stay here again!

We purchased this trip as a Christmas gift for my FIL. He was able to invite his brother from CA and a good friend of his from CO. (I did try to convince them to take our granddaughter, but there is a 4 person max, so it was a no go!) My husband was more of the pack mule lol. We have already decided to book a trip again for just the two of us! So I can experience it and Sean can actually enjoy the trip and fish! I am excited and cannot wait to go! As a hostess, Bethany is top tier! You will not be disappointed!!

Muriel's place was lovely! The hot tub was great, and there's a wonderful view across the lake. We'd gladly visit again!

Joan was very friendly and resourceful. The cabin was very peaceful. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking.

We had a wonderful stay, the cabin is located in a really beautiful setting. Even though it was adjacent to other cabins, it felt private enough because of the way it sits on the property. The cabin is quite small but we had everything we needed. The bed is firm but we liked it. The kitchen was clean and had all necessary items, and Rene left a bowl, a dog towel, and a treat for our pup which was very sweet. We would stay again! Excellent communication from our host!

Beautiful view of the lake. It was very peaceful. Place had lots of cups and utensils and cooking pans. Also had lots of cooking oil and butter and spices for cooking. Even had a grill to use. Hot tub was perfect. Place had no ac but like the instructions mentioned to leave a window open and it keeps the house cool. Upstairs had a fan. Also had washer and dryer which came in handy. A dog door, dog bowls and dog bed. It was dog loving cabin. Can’t wait to stay here again in the future.

Our two families with a bunch of kiddos had an amazing time here! There was tons of things for the kids to do and a nice little hot tub for the adults and a fire pit to make s’mores in. Would definitely stay again.

The house was in a great location, just 1/2 a mile from my son’s house. The house was well stocked for my dog. I didn’t need to bring my crate! The projector TV was too high tech for me, but we did not need to use it. It was a lovely stay. I hope I can book again next year.

My husband, me and my three children truly enjoyed our stay! We tried to go to Dolores twice a year and more excited to know that we found a new place for the family to stay everything about. It is absolutely perfect we just wish we could bring our dogs 🖤 It was easy access the river was beautiful, cozy outdoor firepit ! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and baking! The house was well stocked of anything that we needed that we may have forgotten and the host was extremely easy to contact when needed. We notice some flyers for the ranch next-door and was able to enjoy an afternoon of horseback riding one minute from the home!! The next day, we went ouray our favorite place ! Next time we’ll be sure to make a stop and Telluride again! Thank you so much for opening your beautiful home to our family we are so grateful!!! 🖤 the Anderson family !!!

Our family of four truly enjoyed our time at Joe’s place. We could not have asked for a better place to come back to after a day of skiing. The house had absolutely everything that we needed, was clean, and very comfortable.

This property was exactly what we were hoping for and more. Beautiful, remote and quiet log cabin located high on hill with great views. It is decorated with wonderful Native American art throughout…such a peaceful feeling. Hot tub, several large decks and BBQ area were amazing. Kitchen area was well equipped and made dining in enjoyable. Plenty of room inside and outside for privacy with group of 6 adults. Deer all over property and night sky was awesome..no light pollution. Lori and Rob are first class hosts and responded immediately with any questions. Very flexible and caring people. This was a great place to stay for our work retreat! The surroundings were great and we all loved that it was out and away from the city. The hosts were on the ball with communicating - very proactive - and if it was not Chandra communicating Scott would reply really fast. The two living areas made it nice to have a spot to plan games and leave space for those who wanted to chill. The surroundings were so relaxing that we spent most of our time on that deck and lower patio having our work conversations and recording educational videos. Deer were around every day and two of the chubbiest chipmunks I have ever seen were always around checking us out. I finally gave one a bit of a chip the morning of check-out and it was really trying to hang out afer that! Sure glad no one fed it earlier, we would have had a pet with us the whole time with that friendly critter.

We had an incredible stay at this picture-perfect cabin! From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, cozy, and exactly what we were hoping for. The cabin itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had that perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The hosts were absolutely wonderful—welcoming, thoughtful, and truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. But what really made this trip unforgettable were the amazing furry residents, Cayenne and Pepper. Our dogs, Greta and Louie, instantly bonded with them and had the best time playing and exploring together. It was such a joy to watch them all interact. This place was everything we needed and more. We’ll definitely be back—and Greta and Louie are already dreaming of their next playdate with their new buddies. Highly recommend! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Our stay at Fox Den was excellent! Melissa, the host, was helpful, friendly, and answered the questions I had right away. She also provided some great local eating recommendations. The cabin itself was roomy and well equipped. We had all the amenities we needed. Each room has its own bathroom, which was well appreciated. The game room was a nice touch. The location of the cabin was the best feature. Very close to town and a short drive to Wolf Creek Ski. The views were beautiful and we loved watching the sunset from the porch. Highly recommend staying here!!

My husband and I had so much fun last year at Amy's place, we had to come back! We love winter activities, so if you are looking for a private little getaway to do some hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, or XC skiing, this is the place for you! I also love that this little cabin, although remote, has all the amenities you need to be comfortable just as if you were home. I have a very demanding job which requires me to work even on vacation, so I really appreciated the fast and reliable WiFi so I could check email and stay plugged in. The furnished kitchen came with all the necessary cooking essentials and appliances to make our trip easy. All we had to bring was a cooler of food. The cabin even comes furnished with a TV, washer and dryer, so you can pack light! Amy has always done a great job communicating with us and has been so helpful keeping us apprised of the snow report leading up to our trip. This is a must-visit location! We'll be coming back!

The cabin was great! Well kept, and well stocked. My kids had the best time taking in the view of the lake and the mountains from the back porch. We loved it!!

Kyle's house is awesome! We returned for a second year for a soccer tournament and it is a perfect spot for a few families to share. The bunk room is so much fun for the kids to sleep in. Plenty of space for everyone, super clean and comfortable. Kyle is SO kind and responsive. We hope to return again next year! Thank you Kyle for being so accommodating for our group! We appreciate you!

The host was very nice and welcoming, answered any questions I had, provided suggestions and allowed an early check-in. I stayed on a holiday weekend & only booked the week before. There was hardly any availability in the area, I’m not sure if the pricing was adjusted due to the holiday but $150 per night is steep in my opinion for just a room with only beds. It was the cheapest option we could find & we did love our stay, just not sure it’d be worth that much given different circumstances. The communal bathrooms were kept clean, only other down side would be how close we were to our neighbors. I would definitely suggest a riverside site so you’re not as surrounded & the river is quite beautiful.
