Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Valla Beach

Had a superb stay at this very lovely modern and well appointed house. It was the perfect place for our group offering privacy as well as a beautiful lounge/dining room and kitchen for us to use. It couldn’t have suited us better and Lyndon was very responsive and helpful (though we didn’t need any help or answers because the place was easy to find and access and had everything we need and more!)

Richard and Wendy communicated in a timely, friendly and helpful manner. The house was perfect for our family group with plenty of space, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds , an overhead fan in each room and two bathrooms with great showers. The house was clean, comfortable and sunny with a lovely deck on 3 sides and ample space and furnishings for all the family. I would recommend this house unreservedly.

This was our fourth stay at Misty River Lodge and won’t be our last. My family, including our little Jack Russell Terrier, loves Helen and Craig’s place. I especially love seeing how the gardens have evolved. We enjoy visiting the beaches up and down the coast — Scotts Head is a favourite — and we love to find new places to eat. Coffs Harbour is only a 45 minute drive north and South West Rocks is just 30 minutes south, so it’s a really central location and close to the highway but so quiet and peaceful. The bird song is relaxing and if you’re an early riser, you might even see the local swamp wallaby down near the creek. We were treated to fresh quail eggs, deliciously sweet tomatoes and tasty vegetables from the garden. As Helen said when we arrived… “Welcome home!” … because it does feel like a home away from home.

Lovely little apartment with a beautiful sea view and very quiet. It has a lovely sunny patio and you can watch the sun rise over the water. The position is great and only a short walk to the beach and town. Very comfortable bed and lovely quality linen. Great provisions including lovely homemade biscuits, great selection of teas, muesli and lots of pantry staples. Debra was great to deal with and provided lots of local information. Thanks for a very relaxing stay and all the little extras provided.

We arrived after sunset and found the place easily, not far off the highway but far enough to be quite. Access was via a code and a key lock. We found it very clean and had all the facilities that we needed. We all had a great nights sleep. The shower was great. We loved the place. We highly recommend it.

Lovely, comfortable home with quality furniture and facilities. Excellent location - so good to be able to walk out the back door, along a path, to a dog-friendly beach! South West Rocks is a beautiful area with lots to do; we loved that the town was walking distance away. Very easy check-in and out.

We had a wonderful stay at Jacqui and Peter’s place. The view is amazing and it’s lovely to be able to hear the ocean. There house was easily accessible to the main town of Scott’s head and it was well equipped for kids. We will definitely be back again!

The home was lovely. Really spacious for what we needed. The location couldn't have been better for us as we brought our dog and there's a dog friendly beach about 2 minutes away. The bedrooms are well spread out and the kitchen is functional. But the best part was communication from the host which was both prompt and helpful.

we really enjoyed our stay at Christine's place. it was as advertised and we appreciated the thoughtful touches with the fresh milk and water in the fridge. Great place to spend a few days, although we were just there for the night. Highly recommend Christine's place!

Annelie was very friendly and the place itself was pristine. Completely clean and comfy. It was a great stop along the way for my partner and I as we did our east coast Australia road trip. Definitely recommend!!

Really fabulous bnb. Terrific location. Very comfortable and an easy walk to everything including a great selection of restaurants and cafes. We stayed with friends and had a brilliant time. We loved our stay and only wish we were staying longer! A clean, comfortable space, a short walk to the stunning bay to see the sunrise. Would definitely stay again next time we visit the area!

Our stay at Matariki was nothing short of exceptional. Our host, Julie, was warm, welcoming, proactive in her communication and quick to respond to questions. The welcome basket was great and Julie’s sourdough is worth fighting for! The location is very convenient and peaceful and the accommodation is very comfortable. This will be a return address for us … for sure.

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lovely house in Coffs Harbour. The location was perfect—peaceful yet close to everything, with fantastic restaurants just a short walk away, especially one of them has become our favourite should we come back again for another visit! The house itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Our host was incredibly friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire booking and stay. It made the whole experience feel very welcoming and stress-free. We especially enjoyed the scenic coastal and beach walks around the area—Coffs Harbour is truly a gem for nature lovers and people enjoying bush walk activities. Great little place. Nothing fancy but had everything you need. Bonus points for a well-stocked kitchen in terms of utensils and crockery! Even a sharp knife, which is a rarity! Very walkable to town and the beach, even with kids. Literally 3 minutes. The pool is not heated for those wondering, so it was sub 15 degrees in June. No air con or heating so the night was a bit chilly in the cold snap but there were enough blankets to keep warm! Loved the balcony! We had a great time and the complex was quiet and calm. Perfect for a family with young kids, especially in summer it would be fantastic!

A wonderful apartment with spectacular views. Local shops, restaurants and beach within walking distance.

Ken’s unit is spacious, full of natural light and very comfortable to relax in. The outlook that sweeps around the living area is just stunning. What you get to enjoy on a one hour loop from the house is Equally amazing. We loved it.

I booked this apartment last minute and it was great!!! It’s a lot more spacious than it appears in the photos and really cozy. AMAZING views from the apartment being on the 5th floor. I think it probably has some of the best round views you can get in holiday accommodation there. I could sit on the balcony and enjoy the view for half the day. Some of the decor was like a time time warp to the 80s which I also loved! Very clean tidy cosy but spacious. Easy walk to cafe or beach or dine out.
