A warm and cosy, pit-stop for the long onward journey, away from the hustle and bustle of the other local villages. A short walk around the place, brings you to the edge of river Ganga, flowing into the valley, humming and shivering. A precious experience for me to watch how the host and the local village children interact. Given the language barriers, they mostly use music and sound to say what they need, and the host has an amazing music room to help facilitate these interactions. On special request, I ate hot local food throughout my stay, which made all the difference, bringing in a homely touch to my brief stay in Matli. In their own form, the village has all the essentials that one might seek for, chai shop, clinic, supply stores, ATM's (6-8 km's away) A restful trip ...”

Far away from pollution, noise and chaos, it is rooted in a huge Oak forest and fruit orchard. We have Peach, Plum, Apricot and Apple tree to please fruit lovers. We have a 1 guest room on the first floor, with one common bathroom, a huge balcony overlooking the valley. We have pitched 2 tents in the orchard for adventure lovers.
