“You are sure to receive a warm welcome from the host to takes great pains to make you feel at home. We were among the first guests and got a great deal for a group of 13 of us. Great if you're looking for a peaceful place amidst beautiful mountains in a rustic, Uttarkashi village. Being new, the facilities are being set up and I'm sure the homestay will be continously upgraded to offer great value! ”
Stephen's place in Matli, is a guest suite with a bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom, nestled in a quiet neighbourhood in the village. The space is located amongst families who are Matli's ceremonial musicians, allowing guests the opportunity to experience a touch of authentic Gharwalli culture, if they should so chose.
“Find yourself immersed in an amazing sensorial experience throughout your stay. A warm and cosy, pit-stop for the long onward journey, away from the hustle and bustle of the other local villages. A short walk around the place, brings you to the edge of river Ganga, flowing into the valley, humming and shivering. A precious experience for me to watch how the host and the local village children interact. Given the language barriers, they mostly use music and sound to say what they need, and the host has an amazing music room to help facilitate these interactions. On special request, I ate hot local food throughout my stay, which made all the difference, bringing in a homely touch to my brief stay in Matli. In their own form, the village has all the essentials that one might seek for, chai shop, clinic, supply stores, ATM's (6-8 km's away) A restful trip ...”
Not just a homestay, it's a heritage 500 years old stay nestled in the lap of nature. Located in raithal village, its only 10 km from Bhatwari market. Far away from pollution, noise and chaos, it is rooted in a huge Oak forest and fruit orchard. We have Peach, Plum, Apricot and Apple tree to please fruit lovers. We have a 1 guest room on the first floor, with one common bathroom, a huge balcony overlooking the valley. We have pitched 2 tents in the orchard for adventure lovers.
“I must recommend this place- Go a head and experience village life in 500 year old house, must go for a forest tracking!...…… You will love this amazing place, would be a life TIME experience!”
