“They are wonderful hosts. Such generous hosts too! Provided a nice little breakfast you could make yourself if you wanted. The birds are true! We had multiple little visitors that we were able to feed! There are also some chickens right there! Had a lovely time here! Would definitely stay again!”

“Lovely place, great setting, and the hosting was like most airbnbs used to be - personal, gracious, sensitive to just the right amount of interaction, helpful and thoughtful. If coming by train I would make sure Darren is available to do the first shuttle from the station - it would be a serious uphill schlep with luggage and finding the way could be confusing the first time.”
Nestled between the stunning Lysterfield valley and the Dandenong Ranges National Park, Harvest Homestead is a peaceful retreat just outside the city. This urban farmstay grows organic produce and has an abundance of farm animals. The farm styled home has high beamed ceilings, wood flooring and a generous rustic indulgence - from the hearty breakfast provisions, to the fresh flowers, opulent bed linen and handmade shelving crafted from wood hewn on the property. It is a place for those who love beautiful surroundings and industrial farmhouse chic. A one hour farm tour is included in your stay.
“We have just spent a completely idyllic week in the Harvest Homestead cottage. Azalea and her family were so kind and welcoming, and we had a tour of their farm and were encouraged to pick fresh vegetables from their beautiful gardens and collect eggs from the chickens - which we used for some amazing breakfasts. We also had our own privacy, though, with our own entrance and parking at the cottage so we could come and go as we pleased without worrying about disturbing everyone. The cottage itself is beautiful; it is clean, well equipped and has so many thoughtful touches like the jars of fresh cut flowers from the garden, gorgeous bed linen, organic coconut soap, and a welcome breakfast basket complete with homemade bread- still warm. The location also makes it an ideal bade for exploring the Dandenong region and close enough to get to Melbourne for a day trip. We would definitely recommend this place - thank you so much Azalea!”
