“Our family of four, with two young kids, had a very nice and relaxing stay at Rusty and Lisa’s cabin. We stayed here at the peak of Coronavirus hysteria and it was so great to unplug and get away from it all for a couple days. The cabin was exceptionally clean and there was great communication in advance of the trip to confirm that it was safe for them and us to continue with our plans. Rusty greeted us shortly after our arrival to show us around the house and made us feel very comfortable. That was very important as this was probably the most remote place I have ever been and certainly the most remote place I’ve been with my family....I have camped and all but I’m no Eagle Scout. There is no wi-fi at the house (which is great and should not be changed) and cell coverage is limited if you’re on AT&T so just be prepared for that. We spent two days at the house, went skiing at Sunday River for a half day and the rest of the time we played in the yard, made some great meals and just relaxed. It was great and we would love to return in the future”

“This cabin is fabulous! It is decorated so nicely and the views of the lake behind the cabin are fabulous! The cabin was incredibly clean and fully stocked with towels, sheets, paper products, etc. The hosts even left a few toiletry items in the bathroom, which was a nice touch! The cabin has everything in the kitchen you need to eat on/with and to prepare meals. There is a grocery store about 10-15 minutes down the road in downtown Bethel. We arrived when it was dark and it was a little difficult to find (when Airbnb added the reservation to my google calendar it put in the wrong address, which may have just been a glitch), but if you follow the address on the listing, you will be able to find it more easily! We used the cabin for a ski trip to Sunday River. The resort is only about a 15-20 minute drive away (its only three turns after you turn out of the driveway). Mt. Abram, another ski area, is only about 5-10 minutes away. We used the cabin in winter, which made for a cool experiencing of walking out on the frozen lake. However, this cabin would be so much fun in warmer months too when you could throw open the door and windows (there are screens) and let the natural air flow through the house. Overall, this was a delightful experience and I would stay here again!”

“This cabin is awesome!! The views when you wake up all the way until you go to bed are breathtaking!! Follow the ‘back trail’ and go down the hill.. it will bring you to a snowmobiling/atv trail. It’s so peaceful and beautiful! I went here while the world was in panic during the COVID-19 outbreak. never have I been more glad to be off grid!! It’s peaceful, you’re not glued to your phone and it’s truly an amazing place to sit by the cozy fire, read a book and relax. Extremely welcoming host!”
