Vacation rentals with a patio in Torfaen Principal Area

Booked last minute before the Newport Marathon and it was exactly what I needed. Ann was very welcoming and kindly left out coffee and juice to help fuel the run! The annexe is nice and private and has everything you'd need. Car/bus needed to get into Cardiff.

Great little place to stay. We booked the one with the private terrace which was perfect. Location is spot on too, very near town and only 10 minute taxi to the Bay. Annoyingly I didn't have time to use the shower but the bathroom was very tidy. Was quite weird that the door knew my name but also reassuring that we were in the right place. Not sure if I didn't read the info correctly but there is non permit parking that is quite reasonable right outside the property. I'd booked parking elsewhere but didn't need to. On busy days, it might be needed but we stayed on a week day. Definitely better than a hote and would stay there again.

Great place to stay for a weekend away in Cardiff. Short walk to Mermaid Quay. Really peaceful location. Spacious and very clean, comfy beds. Bonus of a secure parking space. Host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Would 100% recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alison's - thank you for having us! The spacious apartment has obviously been recently furnished, and it was extremely clean. There was everything we needed, with a very comfortable bed with high quality bed linen. Thank you for the generous welcome basket, which was ideal for our breakfasts, and we enjoyed the biscuits too! All in all we thought it was excellent, and a great location for visiting St Fagans and our Cardiff cousins. Thank you very much to Alison and Luigi, and we hope to stay with you again.

Byron and Kate’s place was amazing, such a beautiful space in a great location and so quiet and peaceful. On top of that Byron and Kate may well be the best hosts we’ve ever met. Couldn’t do enough for us, super helpful and had thought of absolutely everything. Couldn’t fault a thing about the property, these experiences are why we use Airbnb instead of hotels. Will definitely be trying to book here again if we are back in Cardiff. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thanks so much

Was such a lovely stay, probably the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in in Cardiff so far. Cathays station is a 15 second walk away which we got into town, so very handy. Everything was clean and lovely and great facilities :) Would definitely stay again ❤️

We spent just one night at Kay’s lovely apartment. She responded quickly to any questions , very clean, comfy bed and lovely decking over a very pretty stream.

I extended my stay from 2 weeks to 3 without hesitation. I felt at home right away. Perfect for Solo and couple travelers.

Great location, located at the end of a private road, so very peaceful and quiet. Perfect gateway to Brecon spots, there’s also walking trail right from the back garden door. The house is very good size with many rooms and has everything you need. There’s also a gym though I didn’t even go downstairs to check out. There’s a conservatory living area with lots of kids toys to play with, mine are 4/6 year old and they live it. Very kids friendly and they have kids toys across all floors to keep them occupied. Not close to restaurant but you can do take away or there’s a massive kitchen to cook though we haven’t used much of that. Host is very responsive and friendly and very thoughtful of what I need for my young kids by setting up the rooms ready for us. Highly recommend

A massive thank you to Abbi, who has been an exceptional host. We had a fantastic time staying at the property. Not only is it a stunning property, but a great location, which was close to work and family for us. In addition to being a stunning area close to the mountains for walks and mountain biking. My husband and I are particularly grateful as Abbi allowed us to stay at the property for 5 months in total while renovations were being done to our home as we had unfortunately been through a flooding experience. Abbi was very flexible and allowed us as much time as we needed for the repairs to our home to be fully completed . Very friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble. It was an answer to prayers in a very distressing time. We are extremely grateful and can’t recommend enough. We will miss staying at property as it’s stunning and very cosy; was very much like a temporary second home for us. Spacious place, including utility room and area out the back.🙌🙏

Everything about this trip was made easy by Kim. The house itself is fantastic. Spotless and had everything we needed for our family. The beds in particular were very comfortable with great mattresses and bed linens. The bathroom is ideal for people with mobility issues like ourselves. The garden is stand out. Large and beautiful. Plenty of outside seating. We had a bbq out there. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Kim.

The location was perfect for our requirements, right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. No noise from neighbours at all, it was very quiet and peaceful! The property had everything we needed and was really clean. Super-comfy beds and a small, private courtyard garden. Plenty of parking on the roads outside too. Would happily stay here again!

The place was in a quiet area and good base for travelling to Cardiff and Caerphilly and other places in South Wales Clean and comfortable

Can't fault the house, it had everything you need. It was clean, tidy and the hot tub was brilliant. There was a very nice Wetherspoons about half a mile away but if you are walking there are some decent hills, you are in the valleys after all. We had a very enjoyable stay and if you want to stop in this neck of the woods you won't go far wrong stopping here. Highly recommended.

We had a very pleasant experience at the AirBnb. The accomodation was very clean and very well maintained. It was fully equipped with all the essentials which made it very comfortable. We were a family of two and the space was too big so it was very pleasing as the kids had ample space to play around and sleep comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked so we did not have to run around at the shops looking for essentials. The garden area was also very tidy. Overall i would give a 5 star to the property and the service. Jordan is one of the finest host and hence Welldone !!

Very responsive host. House was very lovely inside and included custom artwork by the host and hosts father! Pool/table tennis table is a nice addition. Very thoughtful amenities in the house. They even messeged us to say we could have a later checkout if we wanted!

I stayed here with my family for a short trip to Cardiff. We really enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer! The apartment itself was bright and modern, feeling spacious for our group of 6. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We highly recommend this apartment for couples, small families, or groups of friends visiting Cardiff. Its location in the heart of the city centre was incredibly convenient, making it super easy to explore all that Cardiff has to offer.

Absolutely spotless, perfect for my sister and law and I for our local trip. Matthew text in advance to confirm our arrival time so that he could greet us. Matthew briefed us and answered questions and then left us to it. Lots of info on local food, travel, drs and instructions for things at the annex. Lovely over head shower, hot tub was the initial need and attraction, but even without the hot tub, the accommodation is amazing, peaceful, compact and has all the initial refreshments of tea, coffee, sugar and some Welsh cakes, as well as milk. If we do the Trek again next year, We will certainly book again! Thank you, what a lovely little space you have made. I also admire the outdoor area, very nicely done.

Cracking value apartment in a central location for Cardiff bay, short walk from the train station also. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay for 1 or 2 nights. Didn't appear to be much to do in the immediate area but it's a short walk to a bus stop with frequent buses into the city centre. Easy to check in and out.

We had the most wonderful stay with Mags. The house is stunning, surrounded by the most beautiful landscaped gardens. It was lovely to wake up to the birdsong in the morning. The property itself is cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We slept great and the shower is excellent! Lastly, Mags was the cherry on top. She was kind, attentive and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, albeit we only stayed for one night. One of the best Air BnBs we’ve stayed in - we hope we can find an excuse to come back again. Brava!

Claire is very helpful and responsive. The place is in a great location, bus stop just around the corner and so many restaurants around. The place has iron hairdryer towels etc everything that you need. Even portable fans which is helpful in this weather. Would recommend this place !!

We enjoyed our two nights relaxing on the roomy, comfortable living room furniture. It was very quiet even though it is located right downtown, close to everything.

Great place and wonderful host. Excellent communication throughout stay. Very close to principality stadium and Cardiff city centre and also provides free parking in the city centre which is a big plus
