Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Toddy Pond

What a dream it was to stay in this beautiful, dog-friendly spot! Being able to let my pups run, play, and explore the woods was such a gift. The loft, with its high ceilings, was warm and inviting, and the bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up! Tony was a kind and welcoming host—I’m already looking forward to my next stay.

Seven stars out of five! We have stayed in numerous places in Maine over the years, and given a lot of five star reviews. This one surpasses them all, hence the off the charts grade. It is incredibly well provisioned, spotless, spacious, inviting, and has an enormous porch with a view so lovely it looks fake. You can't even hear your neighbors, let alone see them. We heard loons, crows, and one very belligerent owl, but not once did we hear our neighbors. The only way you will know the tenant is home, is that a car will park opposite on the side of the house from you. The fire pit makes it easy and convenient to host a fire, even if it is only for 45 minutes or so. Kayaks are provided along with life jackets. At night you can see millions of stars. Place is so peaceful and comfortable, we almost didn't make it into the park haha. We will definitely be back!

Sydney’s house was perfect for our family! It was clean, with beautiful views on a quiet, private street. The house had plenty of toiletries, we didn’t need to buy any household items while there. The hot tub was clean and perfect for a breezy afternoon looking out at the water. Sydney was a great host, providing tons of recommendations on places to dine and sites to see. Perfect location to visit both the Schoodic Peninsula and Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor! Would love to stay here again.

The location of the house was perfect for our visit to Acadia. It was very quiet and serene with beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and the fire pit at night. We highly recommended this hidden little gem.

This place surpassed our expectations. Waking up every morning to enjoy a coffee on the dock was so peaceful. Everything was very clean and the living room was such a comfy atmosphere. Our German shepherd loved the place too! Thank you so much Steve for making your place dog friendly! It felt like we were coming "home" after every long hiking day at Acadia. We'll definitely return!

Took a family trip to Acadia and this was a great place to stay. The house was very comfortable and enjoyed the on-site hiking trails and sitting down at the lake and having a wine. Appreciate the quick response from the owner when I had a question. Great getaway!!! Thank you for a memorable stay!

We loved our stay! Everything was as described and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook several meals. The view is absolutely beautiful from all parts of the house and we loved the outdoor amenities. Lucy was very responsive and gave us some great recommendations! Would love to come back!

The house was clean and at a prestine lication. Jess and Mya were great hosts. They were very responsive and accomodiated all our requests.

Very nice little apartment in a quiet and woodsy neighborhood in Southwest Harbor, a very short drive from plenty of restaurants and so forth, and also convenient for exploring the rest of MDI. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable, and Caroline was responsive and very friendly, as were the rest of her family. Would definitely stay there again.

We felt right at home at the Open Hearth Inn. Arthur and his team were very friendly and helpful. The inn is stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay, including snacks and treats for both humans and pups. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub when we weren’t hiking in Acadia. Definitely a great experience!

Pam’s place was so spacious but cozy, warm, clean and so welcoming. Pam was also friendly and quick to respond. We were lucky her place was available when we booked ☺️

We really enjoyed our stay at April’s private river retreat house. The apartment was very clean with lots of amenities. The travel toiletries were a nice surprise. We were about a 30 minute drive from Bar Harbor but it took close to an hour to get to some trailheads in Acadia NP. The weather got hot during our stay and April had her husband come to put the window AC in for us which was appreciated. Our only complaint was slow response time from the host during our stay and difficulty finding the driveway upon initial arrival. Google maps said the house was 3 doors closer on the road than it actually was. We would love to come back in the future!

This Airbnb was exactly as listed. Everything is updated, very clean, and comfortable. Jordana was very responsive and accommodating. I would stay here again.

We had a very nice day at James’s place. It had everything we needed and the space was very well thought out. Would recommend!

This place is absolutely adorable and we had SO much fun! The attention to detail in designing was incredible, the Mrs. Pac man machine was so much fun, we enjoyed game nights with the games provided, nights by the fire pit, and a fully stocked kitchen made things so stress free! Everything was so clean and easy to find. The host was very responsive! Can’t wait to tell our friends about this gem!

stunning in the fall. feels very private even though it's next to other cabins. chairs in the back are awesome for view of falling leaves and woods. walkable to sandy point beach, but easy drive if necessary. amazing places to eat and shop in Belfast and surrounding area. we had an amazing trip.

Connor was an AMAZING host! From the very beginning, he was always very responsive, and was consistently available to answer my questions promptly. His cabin on the lake was so cozy, it truly felt like our home away from home. It was beautifully decorated, peaceful, serene, well-stocked with anything that one could need. His recommendations were extensive and were very much appreciated. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and really loved being able to stay there with friends for a few days before departing for another excursion. It gave us time to celebrate and make some great memories with them - something that we will always treasure! The worst thing about this cabin? - Having to leave it in the rearview mirror! Our stay at Dave's lakefront cabin was exactly what we'd hoped for, and then some. This isn't just a rental; it feels like a genuinely preserved piece of Maine – authentic and full of character. Being right on the lake was the absolute highlight. The views are truly epic, offering stunning sunrises and peaceful evenings that we savored from the deck and the dock. It was the perfect backdrop for morning coffee and winding down after exploring. Dave is an exceptional host. He was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, making sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. You can tell he cares deeply about this place and his guests. The cabin is filled with thoughtful touches that are one-of-a-kind, from the cozy throws to the unique decor that tells a story, making it feel less like a temporary stay and more like a cherished home.

Megan’s home is beautiful and welcoming. It’s ideally located on the quieter side of the island. She’s a wonderful and knowledgeable host. We would stay here again without hesitation. Charming, spacious and comfortable.

Old school cabin vibes! Loved this place and we will be back to spend much longer than our short 2 days. I loved having a fire going after a day in the woods and hopping into a cozy bed. It was too cold for us to go swimming- but their were canoes, kayaks, row boats and other water crafts to choose from. Beautiful and rustic. Clean and comfortable. Also we left something behind and they shipped it the next day . Thank you!

Beautiful and peaceful setting. We took advantage and had lobster on the picnic table overlooking the beautiful cove. Enjoyed swimming and watching sunsets. Ended up having a great dinner at Blaze. Host was so responsive with any questions we had. Would definitely stay again.
