This is such a special place. The location is incredible and the feeling is of a much loved and cherished family home that wraps you up in a cosy embrace! The view from the big picture wind is hypnotic even on fierce weather! We saw loads of birdlife from the window including harlequin duck and red necked phalarope as well as on our excursions to Lake Myvtan and Hrisey island. Forest lagoon and the beer spa provided fab relaxation as did the hot tub on the decking - all the better in snow! The swimming pool in Grenivik is also well worth checking out. For us it was all topped off seeing humpback whales on a boat trip in the fjord from Arskogssandur. An incredible week thanks Karen 🙏

We had a great 3 day stay at Sveinns place in Akureyri and used it as a base camp for daytrips in the area/region. We were 3 adults and found the place spacious and clean with comfortable beds and large bathroom. Large kitchen with all the things we needed for our stay. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood 5-8 min driving from downtown Akureyri. There are grocery stores not so far from the house. We can strongly recommend this place.

The host was really helpful and nice to talk with. Whole house was stylish and beautiful. The view was outstanding. The kitchen is perfect even with air fried.

Beautiful location. Near a ski resort and close to the heart of downtown. Home was very cozy for our family of five and everyone had their own beds. Very peaceful area. A short 5 minute drive to downtown and grocery. Host was very responsive and friendly. Would stay here again.

Unexpectedly large house, four bedrooms are very suitable for our group of eight. A comfortable big hot tub, my friends took a bath and chatted in it. The kitchen has a lot of kitchenware, but unfortunately we were tired from the journey and didn't show our cooking skills in it! Each bedroom has the characteristics of the owner of the room, which is very interesting. Clean towels and beds, let us not bear to dirty any of them.

This apartment was very comfortable and extremely well-organized. We had everything we needed including excellent coffee! The beds were very comfortable and we slept great! Great place to stay to explore northern Iceland. Ragnar provided excellent instructions for everything in the apartment and it was one of the cleanest AirBnbs I’ve ever stayed in. We really enjoyed our time there!

Really super apartment which was exactly what we needed. Great location although my elderly mother struggled a bit with the hills to and from town. Excellent distance from the swimming pool which we visited several times. Kristin was always available to answer any queries. Loved Akureyri and love Iceland and its people.

Clear and easy instructions to get to the apartment, and what to do when leaving the apartment. Proactive communication and responsive. The apartment is spacious and centrally located. I appreciated that it also had access to a washing machine and dryer. The kitchen was fully equipped.

We had a great stay in Akureyri! The house was cozy, well located and clean. We enjoyed the location and the spaciousness as we baked in an extra day for rest here, and it was worth it. Would definitely recommend.

The place was newly restored, perfectly furnished to accommodate guests. There is a kitten that welcomes visitors and can be cuddled. Anna's house is comfortable and convenient as a base camp to explore the surroundings. The kitchen provides everything you need to make food. Spaces are best suited for a family with children. We were 4 adults and we still managed to divide the spaces without too much trouble.

This Airbnb in Akureyri was a great choice, as it was close to the centre and the interior was really nice (furnished with wooden mid-century furniture, which was a big plus for me). Helga, our host was very friendly and helpful, she recommended great restaurants, we tried one of them, and had a top notch experience.

If I could give more stars for location, I would. Definitely go the the public pool a short walk away. The people are so friendly and there are 2 awesome water slides (one is referred to by local kids as the toilet bowl, you'll see why in a fun way). This is a bottom floor apartment which seems very new. The apartment was quiet and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The bed was comfy. The Northern lights were amazing. Probably the best place we stayed in Iceland and a good value.

Perfect accommodation for families with children. The apartment was nice and clean, and our 4 year old was so happy to be able to play with the stuff available. Great to be able to relax in the hot tub. Highly recommend this property!

It is very difficult to get someone to offer you their own house for your stay, and for one night only. Andri and his family do it. It is unbelievable. As amazing is their beautiful home. Magnificent, beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It doesn't deserve 5 points out of 5, it deserves 10 out of 5. Pity that on a trip around Iceland you have to rush to see the sites and can't enjoy the house for a few hours awake, having a drink on the beautiful terrace. Extraordinary. More than recommended. We had an exceptional experience staying at Arna's apartment in Akureyri. The apartment was stylish, clean and perfect for our family trip with our son and his girlfriend. We used Akureyri as our base to explore much of the beautiful northern part of Iceland. We also enjoyed the downtown, the nearby Aviation Museum and the Forest Lagoon. Our experience echoes all of the other outstanding reviews from Arna's prior guests. This apartment is a gem.
