The view from the balcony pays for the place! So peaceful and the sauna was great. Wish the weather was more cooperative but there’s load to do at this cottage.

The place is great. About 20-25 minutes from New Liskeard, which has everything you need, including great restaurant, 28 on the Lake. The view from the cottage/veranda is beautiful. Cottage has its own boat ramp, which worked well for us. The hot tub was amazing, we really used it a lot. The sauna also worked well. Cottage was clean and everything worked. And, finally, Katrin was extremely fast with her responses and her answers were always helpful.

Nicolet cottage is part of the Mattawa River Resort, which was a little piece of heaven. My kids and I enjoyed the beach, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, cliff jumping and of course the fire under the stars. The staff was unbelievable friendly and the rustic and charming cottage had everything we needed. The memories we created will be with us forever and we look forward going back next year!

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the location. Set on a stunning point surrounded by water, forest, and pure tranquility, the property offers panoramic views and a level of peace you rarely find anymore. In the evening, you can take in the sunset at the firepit or from the comfort of your cozy cabin—it’s surreal. As it was cold and rained most of the weekend, we were not bored or disappointed. Enjoyed watching the rain storms from the large picture window. The cottage itself was immaculate. It was spotless, organized, and packed with thoughtful extras (that you may have forgotten) that made it feel like home (and then some). Clearly, the hosts genuinely care about your comfort and want your stay to be memorable. The free use of a golf cart came in handy. The cottage even has an indoor clothes line! If you’re looking for total privacy, peace, comfort, and a truly unique Northern Ontario experience, Timber Haven is it. We’re already planning our return trip!

Kelly, his daughter and furry friends ( Max, Ruby & Mary Jane) made us feel at home. It was my sons 19th and although the weather wasn't fantastic we went on so many adventures and loved the peace, comfort, thoughtful amenities. If your looking for a little slice of heaven, this is the spot .

We got here on the first day of the Victoria day long weekend. when we got here it was quite cold and was raining. the cottage offers kayak, paddleboard and paddle boats. Didn't get to try it out but it's definitely a plus to have. They got a Rec centre as well. it is under construction, but Jocelyn let us use it because of the cold weather. it has foosball table and games. I love the sauna and the hot tub as well. The building that we stayed at is super clean. lots of amenities. we have everything we need. Felt just like home. My kids love it here and wouldn't leave! 😅😅😅She offers flexible check in and out time. Would love to come back here again!

A cozy and clean cabin with everything you need ! I loved watching the birds through the back window each morning. Very peaceful. Janice is a great host, I would stay again !

Jason and his wife, Candice were very friendly hosts. The cabin was everything Jason described it as. He even gave my some extra blankets to keep myself warm at night, and made sure in general that I was happy with my stay. I’d definitely 10/10 come back!

This place exceeded all our expectations. The host is phenomenal. His responses were always fast, extremely friendly and understanding. He was very accommodating with our date changes (due to a military move) and made our process super easy. The place is stunning. Even better than the pictures. It’s open, spacious, with lots of modern, high end touches. I have already been recommending this place to all my friends. It’s a must stay- in the winter or summer. We celebrated our anniversary at Jen’s Shamayim Cabin to disconnect and enjoy some winter activities. With no cell reception, we used our devices only to capture photos and videos. Jen greeted us, gave a brief tour, and recommended activities. It was the perfect winter getaway, with plenty of snow for outdoor activities. The weather was great. We cooked dinner on a campfire, relaxed in the sauna, and ended the evening by the fire with hot chocolate. The next day, we tackled two trails. One involved snowshoeing and trekking up Little Mountain to a scenic lookout. After taking in the views, we made our way down a steep slope, using ropes to assist with the descent. We also crossed a creek along the way before completing the loop. Later, we visited the frozen Bang’s Bay and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The area is huge, with more trails and activities we didn’t have time to explore. Jen and Tzach were wonderful hosts, and we highly recommend their cabins. We’ll definitely be back!

My partner and I had a great time relaxing at the cozy cabin! 20 minute drive from anything which was nice to have a peaceful time. The cabin was clean and we felt safe the entire time. Overall great time

We had the perfect fall week to visit an off grid cabin. The amenities were wonderful even if the solar power was not available. The candles and small battery lights supplied by the host added atmosphere. The wood stove added warmth. The lake and surroundings were blazing with fall colour. It was a great family get together.

Had an amazing stay here! Would definitely recommend for a nice get away trip. My husband and I came up for a long weekend with our dog. This place had everything we needed, and felt just like home! Very cozy and modern place. The hosts were very friendly and easy to communicate with, and they made sure we had everything we could need for our stay! We will definitely be returning in the future!

What a great location for our week of R&R on beautiful Lake Nosbonsing, just half an hour from family in North Bay. We enjoyed this tastefully renovated small cottage with its private entrance and ample parking. It has a spacious bathroom, and a great fully equipped kitchen, including Keurig coffee maker (filter and pods). The queen bedroom is tight, and may be impractical for some. Good air flow throughout. Beautiful deck has sun all day. BBQ works well. We missed the sunsets, but loved sunrises and warm morning sun on the private dock for yoga, coffee and tranquil moments. Superb views from the house make up for light road noise behind. Enjoyed the birds, ducks, loons, etc. We swam at the cottage, but there's no beach. Down the road is Big Moose Beach. The private fire pit is well designed, for enjoyment and safety. There's a well stocked grocery store nearby, which even has a pizzeria. We'd be happy to rent this quaint cottage again. My family and I just spent a wonderful week at this very clean and well-stocked cabin. We absolutely fell in love with the private, peaceful property- the views of the valley are so beautiful and if you like sunsets/stargazing this place is for you! The location is perfect if you like exploring provincial parks as there are five parks all within a 15-60 minute drive. My kids (4 & 9) loved the big open space to play and explore and they especially loved the trampoline. Helen is a great host; she’s very warm and communicative. We will absolutely be returning to this little slice of paradise. Thanks again Helen!!

My family had an amazing time at Craig's cottage! Loved the location by the river, lots of great fishing spots! The cottage itself was very tidy and they have pretty much everything that you need in the kitchen! Loved the serenity of the river. Will definitely come back again!

Amazing stay at Carols place! The atmosphere was so beautiful and so peaceful! We absolutely cannot wait to go back and are currently booking again! Carol was kind, responsive and had the most amazing instructions and made us feel so comfortable for our first AirBnB trip!
