Our studio has been a complete labour of love and now we're finally ready to share this beautiful little spot. You can wake up and hike until your hearts content, take in the sights in town and end your day reclining on the sofa with a cosy pellet burner. We have ample parking, private entrance, walking distance (1.2miles) to town (bars & restaurants), bus stop to Buxton / Macclesfield. Wifi, Sky TV,Netflix. Thorneycroft Shepherds Hut offers short stay holidays for one to two people as an idyllic getaway to the peace and quiet of the countryside. It is situated in a quiet corner of our yard with uninterrupted views down our fields in the picturesque village of Kettleshulme. Great for exploring, a mile up the road the is Goyt Valley and Windgather Rocks, ideal for walkers, climbers and cyclists. In the village there is a local pub, The Swan, that serves excellent food, booking recommended.

This is a modern conversion of an extension to our house which used to be a bakery. It is a compact self contained one bedroom ground floor apartment with its own entrance, small double bedroom with en suite shower room and cosy lounge with sofa bed and kitchenette. The apartment is self catering but we provide food and drink essentials. Well behaved animals may stay too. Good for walkers, cyclists, anglers or romantics, but everyone is welcome to rest and rise at the Old Bakery.
