What a wonderful place to relax! Everything was perfect, from the fully stocked kitchen to the comfy patio lounge chairs & bed, the fire pit with lots of wood all chopped & ready to go and best of all the hot tub! Bonus was the visiting deer which were fun to feed using the supplied apples! Highly recommend this secluded cottage on the river if you’re looking for a quiet getaway! The cottage was exactly as described in the listing! We booked this cottage because it was so close to our daughter’s wedding but it ended up being a mini vacation as well! Thank you!

After a bad experience at a different rental Friday night, we were left scrambling Saturday to find somewhere else — this cabin completely saved our weekend! Last-minute booking was smooth, check-in was easy, the place was spotless, fully stocked, with firewood ready. The view is spectacular, the privacy is unmatched, and the hot tub was such an enjoyable feature. The hosts were wonderful with fast, helpful communication. And it’s only about 15 minutes from downtown Truro! Exceeded all expectations — we’ll absolutely be back and highly recommend!

Beautiful cabin, very clean, everything we wanted and as advertised. Relaxing in the hot tub on the deck was so amazing and we would easily book again! Lots of nearby trails to explore, very scenic area and absolutely loved it!

We had a wonderful stay! Patrick and Sarah provided clear and detailed instructions for our arrival. The cottage exceeded our expectations and was even bigger and brighter than pictured. We were a large group of two families (all adults) and everyone had plenty of room for sleeping and belongings. We followed the provided directions and walked to some lovely hiking trails close by. The cottage has modern amenities and was well stocked with almost anything you’d need to enjoy your stay.

The sheltered hot tub is the perfect spot to unwind and recharge, and the serene riverside setting adds to the overall sense of calm. The cottage itself is charming and beautifully maintained, with a quaint character that instantly makes you feel at home. It feels wonderfully secluded, yet it's only a short drive to Pictou, making it the best of both worlds. We’ve already rebooked—we absolutely love this place! Josh and Nicole are incredible hosts, and they’ve created a little slice of heaven here.

This is a great spot! It is beautiful and private. We loved the screened in porch and used it lots when there wasn’t enough breeze to chase away the mosquitoes. The house is well stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed exploring the area and the little towns around the bay. We would definitely stay here again.

House is as pictured in the listing. Very pretty place and the neighbors are friendly. Bernadine is very responsive and polite. Beaches are a short walk from the house. Our dog was welcome. House was super clean and everything worked. Water gets hot and the pressure is good. AC worked wonderfully. Beds are comfortable. The WiFi is 10 mbps down and 1 mbps up which is fine for casual use but may not be sufficient for heavy business or gaming use. Overall we were extremely satisfied with this place and would return.

We had a lovely stay at Beachcombers - a tranquil, idyllic spot on the island. Brenda was a friendly and responsive host who made us feel right at home, including welcoming us with cookies! The cottage is thoughtfully designed, well maintained and comfortable. Great for a couple or a small family.

The cottage was lovely, cozy and quiet. It was a great place for our family to take a step back and relax. Everything we would need was provided and only 20 mins from pictou made it easy to grab the necessities(snacks)for the boys. The neighbours were all friendly. The boys really enjoyed the beach and ping pong table. My boyfriend and I were able to enjoy the beach, relax on the deck and take in the beautiful views. This place really was heaven for us this past week. Our host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at the “Sunrise Cottage”.

We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend away. The space was immaculate and we felt right at home. Zachary was an attentive host who responded to our needs but also gave us space to relax. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Loved it so much, we booked another visit before the first was over!!!!! A wonderful experience at Stella Luna! The location was beautiful, peaceful and exactly as described. Spent hours on the beach and enjoyed the sunrise each morning from the second storey balcony off the main bedroom. AMAZING! Very touched by the thoughtful guest package when we arrived and the helpful info on area amenities. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This cozy cottage on the water was everything my family and I could have asked for! Tracey and Randall made vacationing EASY with having everything we could need right there. We had great communication from the start making checkin quick! This vacation rental really felt like home! Great kitchen with everything you’d need, perfect sized bathroom/laundry room, and a great deck to sit on and admire the view! We used the outdoor shower lots to help wash off after a day at the beach. We also had a fire and s’mores one night! The paddle board, canoe and kayaks were a bonus that we took advantage of and toured around on the water with my family. Nothing but positive things to say! Look forward to staying here again!

Absolutely stunning place to stay in a beautiful spot just steps from a lake that you can do lots of fishing in! If you stay I hope you have the pleasure of actually meeting Lyndy because she is so kind hearted (she also makes amazing cookies that was in the bunkie when we arrived)!

What a fantastic cabin and a gracious host! Carol was super communicative, taking the time to answer all my questions. The location was lovely and quiet, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone, plus there's a great little market less than a kilometer down the road!! It was a great experience! Thank you Carol for everything!

Andy’s cabin was spacious, clean, and private. While it was a bit of a drive from conveniences and popular attractions, the cabin was EXACTLY what we were looking for - namely a nice place for the family to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Honestly, we kept talking about finding a way to buy a place nearby. Except for the mosquitos, which literally came with the territory, this was a perfect place for the family to stay.

This place is quite remarkable. It has such a breathtaking environment, we would have been happy if we'd have been just tenting on the property. However, nside the cabin is wonderfully accommodating; lots of sleeping spaces, a large bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and large dining and living room space. It didn't feel cramped at all. On top of that was the novelty of the antique furnishings. This was a family vacation and our teenager had plenty of space to have her alone time, yet so many fun things to draw her back to us. We ate at the picnic table facing the water daily, and she roasted marshmallows in the fire pit. The direct, easy beach access was a huge bonus! She could go down anytime she wanted. We are all avid rock hounds so this beach was an ideal place to be even if we didn't go out to enjoy many of the surrounding communities' attractions. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we're already looking forward to booking again and exploring the area more next year!

We arrived after dark and were greeted by our friendly host who showed us how to use the off grid systems and where things were on the property. There's isn't any light pollution there and it's very private. We built a fire in the firepit and stargazed because we could see so many stars! Beds were comfy and the kitchen and washroom were clean. We were happy overall with the accommodations and Lindsay was very responsive and friendly:)
