Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Sumène

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

The house is just amazing! It's big and comfortable, has any kitchenware you could ever need to prepare any dinner imaginable and even more! The garden is simply beautiful, our cat was beyond happy to explore every corner of it. We didn't use the swimming pool because it was already too cold to swim, but it adds to the beauty of the garden and we just enjoyed sitting by it in the sun. Thank you Jean-Philippe and Brigitte, for this amazing place. We will be happy to return some day!

The property is lovely and the hosts were very welcoming and respectful and helpful with suggestions. Our only critique would be that the pool whilst lovely is not private and shared with the hosts who admittedly did not use it whilst we were there and if you like me love to cook the oven was portable and a slight challenge to use. The village and walks were incredible and the location near to Uzes, Nimes and Avignon makes for a lovely stay. A big thank you to Pascal and Catherine x

Beautiful cottage, functional, well located, in a charming little village, a beautiful garden in an idyllic setting . Communication is not directly with the host but with a concierge who manages communication and organization very well.

We felt very comfortable in Frederic's house. It is nicely decorated with the countless books. If you turned on the light on the terrace in the evening, you could watch a beautiful natural spectacle with many butterflies and bats directly above you. If you are looking for peace and solitude, you will find it here. It is not far down to the river where you can refresh yourself very well. For a supermarket or a restaurant visit, however, you are dependent on a car.

Lovely apartment with great attention to detail, well accessible by car. It was surprisingly spacious and extremely well equiped. We loved it and can definitely recommend! It's a more isolated village, but lots of nature and activities to do nearby

We had a great and relaxing time in Célia's extraordinary and stylish little house! We immediately felt comfortable and welcome, everything was exactly as described and beyond that nothing was missing! Célia really put a lot of effort and love into the furnishings and design! We were in the small village by the river at the beginning of June and enjoyed the tranquility and seclusion there very much, bathing spots are within walking distance when it is hot. Otherwise, you can do a lot of sports. Célia gives very precise instructions. We ate excellently at the restaurant "Bouchon Cévenol" in Chamborigaud!

Rejuvenating stay away from contemporary tumult. The region is superb and preserved, concealing a diversity of landscapes where you can walk and be silent, without forgetting swimming when it is too hot. The cabin is a rare, welcoming place, open to the breathing of chestnut and cherry trees, very comfortable and subtly arranged, inhabited by many delicate details far from the ambient formatting (the broom is even a work of art!). The surroundings, although close to the village, are beautiful, lively nature where you can walk at dusk, and admire the purple full moonrise behind the mountains when there is a full moon! I even met a fox, and heard the hooting of owls! Laurent is a very caring, responsive, and generous host in his advice to discover this region in the best possible way. The cherry on top, the presence of Rock, a mischievous and adorable young dog. I recommend it 100%!

excellent stay, incredible accommodation in terms of comfort and taste, only downside the noise of the jacuzzi engine but well that does not stop you from enjoying it fully, I highly recommend

Great place in the center of Montpellier, spacious, very nicely decorated, with books and toys for every age (especially if you are a family with children), nice kitchen and bathroom, good beds. The hosts are also very friendly and responsive, would definitely recommend to others.

We had a great time at Julien's place. The neighborhood is quiet, close to the old town and the train station on foot. Good little restaurants nearby. The building is very quiet. The apartment is comfortable, well-equipped, well-decorated; good bedding. Contact with Julien is easy. We recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, in the beautiful main village square, right in the centre of Uzès. It was peaceful, comfortable and the apartment was bright and cozy. It had a little outdoor balcony which was a nice bonus. We were thrilled to have had the opportunity of staying in this delightful place and the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. We had an unexpected break at Cinthia's. Every detail is designed for our well-being. We had a great time sharing and laughing. We discovered lots of relaxation devices that we can easily buy. We weren't able to try everything in 3 days, it's too short. We'll be back, we have to.

Amaury’s place was stunning and in a great location. The beds were comfortable, the apartment was spacious and clean and it was easy to find and walk from the station. Amaury was responsive and helpful throughout. Would recommend.

Rémy’s place exceeded our expectations! It was perfectly equip, and the location was fantastic - literally just off the main square. The small terrace was lovely, a treat to have. Rémy was very responsive, and easy to contact. Would come back to Uzes and happily stay here again!

My wife, eight month old daughter and I had a wonderful 7 nights stay at Nathalie’s place. As other reviews have described it’s very peaceful and the view from the terrace is second to none. We had many bbqs and the heated pool was a big plus. The house had all amenities and Nathalie was always quick and helpful to come back on any questions we had. Thank you for a great stay!

What an amazing place! It was everything we hoped for and more! Nestled in the heart of nature, the setting was absolutely serene—surrounded by trees, birdsong, and beautiful views in every direction. Everything was perfect! The house, the view, the nature, the region, the host… all of us were very extremely happy to stay at Olivier’s place.

The atmosphere there is really great. It is very quiet and feels like it is in the middle of nature. Nevertheless, the great bakery, a small supermarket and a nice restaurant are within a five-minute walk. The vintage style of the furnishings and the garden with two terraces and pool make the stay perfect. The pool is even bigger than it looks in the pictures. Lézan is very village-like but well suited as a starting point for excursions. The tips and advice from Fabrice were very helpful. We felt very comfortable there and it has everything you need for a vacation. Be sure to visit the organic winemaker next door and buy wine!

This house and the surrounding grounds are amazing. This was the most impressive AirBnB we have ever stayed in. We stayed here for one week for a family gathering. It is as big (or bigger) than the pictures show. The house is beautiful and modern. The grounds are spectacular. They even have 8 small tortoises on the premises which the kids loved to feed. The pool is huge. You feel like you are on the grounds of a palace. Additionally, Najet and her husband were extremely friendly, kind and helpful. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing stay in the south of France.

Great house well located , well equipped and comfortable. The pool is a real advantage, especially since it's heated . Jérémy is efficient, available and very friendly. I would highly recommend it.

Staying with Kinnari and her family in the countryside in Canaules-et-Argentières was wonderful. Quiet lovingly maintained property, beautiful pool, beautiful park-like garden, beautiful details in the apartment, on the seating area and in the garden that made the stay so relaxed. Even the mosquito spray was ready upon arrival. There is a new bike path in the area and the walks along the vineyards were accompanied by shade again and again thanks to the lush vegetation.
