Deer Nest ( SERENITY)@ Acadia National Park

TerrenceRating, 5 stars1 month ago
While it might seem a tad bit pricey it's right in line with all of this desirable area particularly in that you have the whole place, not just an apartment. The setting is beautiful and you could stay for a month and not run out of new experiences. We loved being on the "quiet side" of MDI in SW Harbor. Hosts were great to work with and I also appreciate we were able book on short notice after another reservation mysteriously disappeared from the app.

Sea Breeze Cottage in idyllic Castine Maine!

BrandyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We have been staying at Sea Breeze for the last 4 years while my daughter was a student at Maine Maritime Academy. It is like our home away from home. Very well stocked, always clean, and Jane always communicates any special events taking place in town. So many special touches that you immediately feel at home upon check in.

Lavender by the Sea

PrashantRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a truly unforgettable stay in Penobscot, Maine, and Suzanne’s Airbnb was a big reason why. The view from the property was absolutely stunning — serene, scenic, and the perfect escape from everyday life. Suzanne was an incredibly warm and gracious host who even invited us for breakfast and made us fresh coffee, making us feel instantly at home. Melissa, the property manager, was equally wonderful — welcoming, attentive, and always quick to respond to any questions we had. Both Suzanne and Melissa went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Their kindness made it feel like we were visiting family rather than staying in a rental. I’ll definitely be returning to Suzanne’s place for my next visit to Maine. Highly recommend this beautiful spot to anyone looking for a peaceful and heartwarming getaway!

Cute cottage on a tidal cove

AlikaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
A beautiful home that is right on the water (just steps away, especially with the planks that allow you to walk further out into the grassy area). The hot tub was a really nice addition, and the stove fireplace was really nice and warming as well. All beds were comfy and kitchen was stocked with all the staples, so we were able to do lots of cooking. Jessalyn and Joshua were super quick to respond whenever we had a question.

We were so beyond happy with our stay at Brianna’s! The house was so cozy and well kept, and the property was beautiful and peaceful! She was so helpful with giving us recommendations on where to eat and things to do, and she always answered any questions we had in a timely manner and was super friendly. We were honestly planning our next booking with Brianna before we even finished the first lol We can’t wait to book with her again!

Lake Front-Maine Themed-Soaking Tub-Fire Pit-Kayak

ElizabethRating, 5 stars3 days ago
The home looked like the pictures and very clean. It was about an hour from Acadia National Park. Loved that there was coffee and everything needed to make it. It was nice that this property was pet friendly. We didn't end up bringing a pet but the home was set up with all the fixings to make your pet feel at home. The kayaks were a plus. We went out a few times on the pond. We would recommend visiting Fort Knox and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge & Observatory, very cool.

Union River Retreat Private Apartment

JennaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We really enjoyed our stay at April’s private river retreat house. The apartment was very clean with lots of amenities. The travel toiletries were a nice surprise. We were about a 30 minute drive from Bar Harbor but it took close to an hour to get to some trailheads in Acadia NP. The weather got hot during our stay and April had her husband come to put the window AC in for us which was appreciated. Our only complaint was slow response time from the host during our stay and difficulty finding the driveway upon initial arrival. Google maps said the house was 3 doors closer on the road than it actually was. We would love to come back in the future!

Rustic Cabin on Beech Hill Pond near Acadia

CoryRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Our stay at Dave's lakefront cabin was exactly what we'd hoped for, and then some. This isn't just a rental; it feels like a genuinely preserved piece of Maine – authentic and full of character. Being right on the lake was the absolute highlight. The views are truly epic, offering stunning sunrises and peaceful evenings that we savored from the deck and the dock. It was the perfect backdrop for morning coffee and winding down after exploring. Dave is an exceptional host. He was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, making sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. You can tell he cares deeply about this place and his guests. The cabin is filled with thoughtful touches that are one-of-a-kind, from the cozy throws to the unique decor that tells a story, making it feel less like a temporary stay and more like a cherished home.

#5 Lakeside Cedar Cabins - "Tamarack"

NinaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Old school cabin vibes! Loved this place and we will be back to spend much longer than our short 2 days. I loved having a fire going after a day in the woods and hopping into a cozy bed. It was too cold for us to go swimming- but their were canoes, kayaks, row boats and other water crafts to choose from. Beautiful and rustic. Clean and comfortable. Also we left something behind and they shipped it the next day . Thank you!

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by nature, it was a perfect getaway. The space itself was extremely clean and had everything we needed throughout our stay. I highly recommend it to those comfortable with the outdoors and looking for a relaxing cabin experience. Make sure to check out the outdoor shower and fire pit! Would definitely visit again!

Simple Solitude Near Acadia

BonnieRating, 5 stars7 months ago
enjoyed the cabin tremendously. Very quaint, peaceful private. You can hang out all day and relax, or you can go to different surrounding towns. The main road dead in to the beach (free) the state park ( 6$ fee). Ellsworth has cute shops and cafe with good food, but we cooked at the cabin a lot. About 35 minutes away. We found a real good restaurant called Cafe dry dock, the raw oysters were the best, the lazy lobster, shrimp cocktail mmm, we ended up there twice. Everyone one nice. Bar harbor was nice to walk around. Acadia national Park was great (get pass online ahead of time for entering- and a pass to go up to Cadillac mountain which was stunning and they have a store up there with the best old soakers root beer. You'll love it. We ended up in Lubeck at the border of Canada, so remember to bring your passport. So a little information at Cadillac mountain. You are on the most highest point Northeast. And LouBec, you are at the Northern most East point. A1 Relic antiques, must se
