The property is located in the mid of a tea garden. Beautiful place. Perfect for spending some time in the midst of lush green scenic beauty. On top of it Rebika is an awesome host. She took care of us very well. Approaching road is not perfect. But it's worth the trouble once you reach the place.

We were looking for a quiet corner in Darjeeling - away from the bustle and chaos of the Mall Road. Gurjeeb's place is perfect for that. It's located about 3 km away from the Mall Road, which gives it the kind of quiet and serenity we were after. One needs to drive about a minute down from the main road and then take a flight of stairs to reach Gurjeeb's place so if you want very easy accessibility, this is something you should consider. But the property itself is worth the effort. The room in the attic is big and pretty, with all basic amenities available. A special shoutout to Gurjeeb's cousin Sujan who looked after us very well and took care of all our needs. He helped us get our luggage up and down the property - which would have been a hassle otherwise - and made amazing local food for us. The Happy Valley Tea Estate is a 10-minute walking distance from here and it's quaint, quiet and amazing. Loved the overall vibe of the place and will love to return in the future.

Where to begin… Staying at Sristi’s farm was such an authentic and unforgettable experience. I had the chance to live alongside Sristi and her lovely family, and it gave me a genuine glimpse into their way of life. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home — Sristi has such a warm, welcoming energy, and we connected really naturally. She quickly felt more like a friend than a host. We shared some amazing moments together, including a trip to a beautiful river. There’s so much to do around the farm — whether you’re in the mood for hiking, exploring the nearby village (don’t miss the best samosa in West Sikkim!), or simply unwinding and soaking in the peaceful nature all around. And I can’t forget to mention the food — absolutely delicious, every single meal! Needless to say, I highly recommend staying here. It’s a special place, and one I’ll carry with me for a long time. Tranquil, that's how I felt at Eshab's Homestay. It was really a home away from home. The friendly doggos and the ever so attentive staff were always ready to assist with a smile. Food at the restaurant was delicious, the never ending cups of steaming hot milk tea, the drizzle of the rain and the cold crisp air was perfect indeed. We were regaled with karaoke at their bar and restaurant, and on our last night, upon the owner's insistence, we even gave it a shot! We stayed for 4 nights and it was worth it. We did a fair bit of sightseeing (Pelling, Chakung etc) and leisurely walks up to the monastery and the falls. They even provide you with umbrellas! Everything was well managed by the kind staff - Alisha, Rohit, Susma, Kabita and a few others including the happy and helpful young men who drove us around ( namely RK, Pasang and Tashi) - and the pleasant and chatty owner, Kesang's dad who was a total sweetheart!
