The cosy and very romantic Starlight Hut is situated in stunning Cotswold countryside close to Bampton, used as the film set for all the Downton Abbey village scenes. Guests call it a little idyll in the glorious English countryside and as the name suggests it's fab for star gazing! A shepherd hut experience might usually be described as ‘glamping’ but for us, the focus is more on complete luxury - the hut provides all things you could wish for and several that you might not even have imagined.

Welcome to Honeysuckle, our luxury shepherd's hut with stunning views across the fields in the Chilterns. In the evenings sit and watch the sun go down around your fire pit or stay cosy indoors with your log burner. We are a working farm and you may see the tractor trundle past feeding our herds of Texal sheep (Lambing right in front of you in March/April 2025!) and Limousin cows grazing in fields, or watch the many birds. You have your own secluded, fenced and private garden area with seating.

Idyllic shepherd's hut set in it's own private meadow, with sweeping views of the Cotswold's rolling hills & green pastures which can be enjoyed from the wood fired hot tub (or cold tub if you need to cool down on a hot summers day!). Nestled in a secluded & sheltered spot on our small farm, which is home to a delightful array of animals & wildlife. Our partially re-wilded farm is a haven for diverse nature.
