Farmstay vacation rentals in South Gloucestershire

The Stables was the perfect destination for a relaxing holiday away from the city. Yvonne was an excellent host who gave us some good recommendations for restaurants and left us some tasty scones as a welcome gift. The view from the place is stunning and we enjoyed eating outside watching the birds. The place was comfortable, the shower was hot and had good pressure and the kitchen had everything we needed. I'd thoroughly recommend this place and will hopefully come again in the future.

Such a great place. Cupboards had essentials in and Val left us milk. 2 dressing gowns provided which I thought was lovely. Toiletries in bathroom. Great location , great host and great price!

The photos don't do justice to the beautiful cottage and the lovely views from both the living room as well as the bedroom. The place offered lots of privacy with well kept garden around the cottage for our use. It comes with all amenities as exactly as described and was a perfect place to be away to unwind and be with the nature. The other big benefit is that it is located centrally to most of the attractions or places of interest within the Cotswolds area. So you can venture to any of those areas and be back to rest and relax at this beautiful place. We really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend this place if you are planning to visit Cotswolds area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Julia’s cottage. It was cosy and very close to bath which is very useful. The tennis court was lovely and we enjoyed playing a few games on it, Julia is very friendly and easy to contact. We would recommend!

Beth was a great host!! We bought nice eggs from her. The location was very peaceful with birds singing and view towards the sheep and lambs. We would be glad to return to this lovely area. Thank you for everything Beth!!

Lyn and David are the most wonderful hosts! David build the home from the ground up and it is very beautiful! We loved how homely it felt, comfortable beds, views that are out of this world and a really peaceful place to be! We can’t thank you both enough for allowing us to share your slice of Mendip Hills beauty!! Lyn left some homemade scones which were to die for! We have to revisit as we didn’t explore all the amazing walks and Wells in more detail , and would not think twice to stay again. PS there is a beautiful little shepherds hut nearby with the same amazing views also built by David (Lyn said because he was bored!) Hopefully David remains bored, we look forward to his next amazing space/s. We highly recommend you visit!

We had a wonderful stay at Lara's place and felt very at home Lara replied to any questions straight away and sorted any issues promptly and efficiently. There's a beautiful garden at the back with a separate space for guests which we used regularly and a safe place to store our bicycles which I recommend taking if you have them as the canal is lovely for easy rides on that point we rode to Devizes for the Thursday market be warned there is a stall selling hams cheeses etc we bought two lovely looking pork pies from them when we got back to put them in the fridge I noticed that they were two days out of date so had to bin them 😢 otherwise had a lovely day. In the Devizes direction on the canal tow path is The Barge Inn about a 50 minute walk for a 67 years old like me very nice but all ways busy but just up the road is the Brewery Inn and the food is excellent looking it up on Google maps it looks small from the front but if the weather is good has a large beer garden at the back

Great location as a base to tour the Cotswolds. The annexe is well appointed, comfortable and in a quiet location. It was nice to be able to sit outside, soak up the sunshine and watch the chickens and horses! Amanda was very helpful.

We had a wonderful time at the Stone Barn! Nicky and Mark provided a beautiful home away from home that couldn’t have been better. It’s so peaceful and the views are amazing. The place was clean (beware if you’re not a fan of spiders though as there are a decent amount in corners, bathroom, etc due to the countryside location I’m sure) and they even gave us a lovely welcome package with local food items. They were responsive and made sure we had everything we need. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to call home in the Cotswolds area. We were within 1-1.5 hrs drive of all the major sightseeing places which was perfect.

Carthorse Barn is just simply stunning ! So spacious and beautifully decorated, we felt right at home . The day we arrived weather was not the greatest so having a wood stove was blissful. The cottage is very spacious and has everything needed for a comfortable stay , kitchen is fully equipped, downstairs toilet a welcomed bonus. Upstairs both bedrooms are immaculate, spacious and have very comfy beds . I loved the window bench in the kids bedroom, such a wonderful nook to relax. The main bedroom has the biggest and comfiest bed I have ever seen , such a beautiful wooden headboard too. I loved the free standing bath. The farm is also lovely and we enjoyed going to see the pigs and walking round the lakes.

It’s a great location for kids as they have a very nice field right in front of the house. House is kept top notch with very clean bed sheets.

Great proactive and helpful communication with Paul from our initial enquiry and throughout our stay. A beautiful cottage in an excellent location. Cottage was very clean and well maintained, and matched the description and photos in the listing. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and a great shower. Good internet. The generous welcome basket was a great addition. Garden provided a safe haven for our Jack Russell’s to roam carefree with lovely seating areas for us to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Private parking area with access to the garden and cottage was good. Easy access to footpaths direct from outside the cottage was great for dog walks without having to use the car - beautiful countryside to explore right on the doorstep. Excellent choice of pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, takeaways etc within easy reach. Would happily recommend Paul’s place to family & friends, and very much hope to make a return visit ourselves.

We had a lovely stay with Patrick and Julia. The barn is convenient and very cosy (+ great coffee machine!). The surroundings are breathtaking and there are many things to do in the area. Our 3 year old enjoyed the farm animals. Would definitely recommend.

We had such an amazing time. Sarah was really friendly and accomading by prooviding local places to visit. She would respond very quickly to any enquiries. We arrived to milk in the fridge and eggs and bread on the side. Such a kind guesture. The home and garden area was beautiful, so peaceful. The dogs even loved it. We all felt right at home. The scenery was amazing and so was the living environment. Definitely recommend 👌. Would visit again. Thank you very much.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Barn – it perfectly suited our requirements with four spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, offering both comfort and privacy. The facilities were first class, and the scenic rural location was simply stunning – a true slice of the quintessential UK countryside. Louise and Dave were warm and welcoming hosts, ensuring everything ran smoothly. We only wish we could have stayed longer! An incredibly affordable accommodation option and an ideal choice for anyone seeking a relaxing rural retreat. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely few days here, Tom was very friendly and helpful. Loved all the animals, my daughter absolutely loved the dogs and is missing them already! Great location for visiting Bath and Bristol.

Fab stay. Was so much more private than we were expecting. Insane view. Breakfast bits were a lovely touch. Our dog loved the surrounding field. The Bull at Hinton does an amazing Sunday Lunch.

Absolute dream home - pristine clean, 1000/1000 hosts, honestly it's probably the best airbnb I've ever stayed in and I've travelled a lot. This spot should be prescription for busy Londoners. Thank you so much!!!

Great place, amazing views! Had everything we needed, host was very friendly and responsive. The sofa bed is probably best suited for a child, but this is clearly stated in the property description. Would absolutely recommend this place and would love to come back.
