Vacation rentals with lake access in South Coast

This is a one off 60's style place . We felt at really home and loved it all . It is a place which is full of books, beautiful pictures , and real touches of really fine design. Okay, here and there it shows its age BUT it is a home which has been preserved and which shows real ( rather than Faux ) class. Lovely spaces and real retro ... generous spaces subdued but elegant lighting and the odd bit of quirk . It reeks of happy family times in beautiful Merimbula. We loved it and will be back .

Everything about this accomodation was 5 stars. Great communication from the host Ben. The house was a great place to entertain and was equipped with everything we needed. Very comfortable and clean and great location. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay that far exceeded our expectations. The house was incredibly spacious, with more than enough room for our family, and the bonus of having two kitchens made everything so much easier when catering for a big group. The outdoor play area was a huge hit with the kids – plenty of space for them to run around and stay entertained. The fire pit was another highlight, perfect for relaxing in the cool evening and enjoying quality time together. One night simply wasn’t enough—we’ll definitely be back for a longer stay next time. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a family-friendly, comfortable, and well-equipped getaway!

Zubin was a responsive host and the place was clean and had all the amenities listed. Great for larger groups since it has a double garage with space in the driveway for parking as well. The views and the location were really good.

Leanne’s place completely exceeded our expectations — it truly blew us away. The property is beautifully designed, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need. All the amenities and appliances worked perfectly, though having a laundry dryer would’ve made it even more convenient. But the real showstopper is the lake — it felt like our own private, attached sanctuary. Whether you're just gazing at it or taking a refreshing dip, it adds an incredible, peaceful touch to the entire experience. The extra snacks and food items provided were such a thoughtful gesture — a cherry on top of an already perfect stay. And yes, it even has a personal lemon tree! Hands down, one of the best stays I’ve had. Can’t recommend it enough.

Eva was a fantastic host who was very contactable, accommodating and SkyView villa had everything we needed for a great long weekend stay. We definitely would love to come back and make the most of the opportunities in the area when it is warmer too!

Such a lovely space, especially the lovely deck with such beautiful birdlife ! Thoughtful touches eg. water filter jug, oil vaporiser and live indoor plants….felt more like staying at a friend’s home. Very personal touches.

Kevin's house is very well appointed, it contains everthing you need, a home from home for sure. It's in a great location and easy to get about the area from the house. It's an old style cottage with attention to homely and interesting features. Lots of thought has gone into the ambience of the property. It's also a very dog friendly home and area.

I stayed in Monica's apartment for four weeks total for work - it was fantastic, well-equipped and had the most beautiful view over the lake. Would highly recommend staying.

The place was beautiful. The bed was big and cozy. The kitchen and fridge stocked for necessities which helped with the morning coffee crave. It was lovely that there were snacks too as we haven’t gone to the shops when we arrived. Overall amazing place. Will definitely be back. Tony was also very accomodating with clear instructions ☺️

Perfect location and easy to get to everything. Walks and a swim at Bar Beach every morning was a great way to start the day. Stunning views of the Lake. I can’t recommend Andreas place more highly. We are normally people who opt for a beautiful hotel - Andrea’s apartment was more gorgeous than any hotel on offer in the area. The location is magnificent, overlooking the lake with great walks and restaurants literally right downstairs. Incredibly safe and secure, underground car parking was excellent. The building is super sound proof even though in a bustling spot. Beds, linens and pillows were all 10/10. I have no feedback, it was truly an amazing experience. We are admittedly clean freaks with very very high standards and this place exceeded our standards. I wasn’t in great health due to a surgery and Andrea was beyond kind, communicative and accommodating. We can’t thank you enough Andrea. THANK YOU!

A lovely private cottage in the most beautiful tranquil setting. Kitchen has everything for a lovely roast dinner in front of the open fire. We absolutely loved our stay!

Had a wonderful relaxing weekend. The cottage was lovely. It had a fireplace to keep us warm and the all the amenities we needed for a great weekend spent with friends. Angela and Warren were lovely hosts.

Leah was easy to communicate with. I loved the little touches in and around the little house. Its a compact home but has everything for a comfortable stay. The dogs loved the backyard, which was securely fenced so we could attend the Viking Festival for a few hours.

This place is gorgeous and exactly like the photos. A lot of thought, style and taste has been put into the 1960s decor and the records and record player was a treat! In such a quiet street with lake views and fires indoor and out. Totally perfection for us! Will definitely be going back. Bronwyn was super friendly and responsive so felt well taken care of. What an amazing place. The cottage was clean and incredibly comfortable. Tobi's communication was excellent & we really enjoyed the delicious home baked biscuits left for us. The house backs onto the lake and we enjoyed the basin walk alongside the lake. The house is private, quiet and peaceful. We even had the pleasure of waking up to a beautiful mob of kangaroos resting on the back lawn. We enjoyed our breakfast with them. They weren't phased by us at all. We can't wait to return for another peaceful getaway.

The stay was very nice the place was very clean and nicely decorated loved the little gift basket was very sweet and the house was very pretty and the area is nice too the bed was really comfy really nice stay thank you

Brendan’s shack is as beautiful and peaceful as all the other reviews describe it. The garden is particularly stunning with an amazing collection of Banksias. We also went kayaking multiple times in the river and mountain biking in Termil Forest over the highway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon.

Had the best time at Canyonleigh. Tranquil location, gorgeous animals and access to a river. The place itself was very well equipped, clean and tidy. The best part about the entire stay however was Mel. She was extremely responsive and available for all of our queries. She offered a farm experience to us in the morning. When we needed honey, cinnamon and extra towels she was quick to provide. Furthermore we needed a ride into Bowral and she not only offered to give us one, but gave as quite an informed and impassioned tour of the area. We had the best time and would love to revisit again. Our cup feels very full now and I am really grateful!
