Booked for a work overnight stay and it was nice to come to a clean home. Only thing was no laundry facilities that we could find. If we stayed on a longer bases we could not do our laundry. Besides that it was a very beautiful home. thank you

In the end we didn’t stay at the property listed as there was an issue with the property maintenance so we were upgraded and moved closer to Tumbafest. Communication was good with Melissa throughout the process of moving. All good with a very enjoyable weekend in Tumbarumba.

We stop at Ruth's place on our road trip from Sydney to Melbourn. We were very impressed with how clean the cottage is. The cottage is well designed for a big group with in-suite in each bedroom and a big living area. There are also a lot of things to do at the farm. Highly recommended for family travel with children.

We had a wonderful time. It's a great glamping spot with heaps of fun activities to do. Complimentary breakfast supplies are a nice touch. The fancy tent is very clean and well equipped. Great view out from the "window" day and night. Due to the proximity to the freeway, you may hear occasional noises from the trucks, but not bad enough to impact our sleep. Highly recommended!

Hillview Farmstay - Glamping Safari Tent (Cub)

KateRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We stayed here with our 2 young children who upon arrival were immediately blown away by the friendly goats. We enjoyed 1 night glamping on our way up to Canberra from Melbourne. We cooked some local meat on our bbq while enjoying some local chardonnay. Meat and wine were all purchased through the accommodation and ready for us on arrival. The onsite manager, Donna, was ready for us the next morning at 8.30am to feed the animals and the children had a blast with Donna while learning all about farm animals. Thank you very much Donna - this will be a lasting memory for family.

Cabin 2 - Snowy Accommodation

ErnestRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A simple cabin in the woods, something different from usual city rental. Unique experience with Kangaroos, birds and other animals greetings you in the morning. Quiet and private for us because only our cabin, out of the 4 there, was rented out. Can imagine it will be nice with the snow. Be aware to bring your foods because there is no supermarket nearby. If you plan to stay for a few days or longer, note that the fridge is not big and there is no oven, only a small portable electric oven. The kitchen is also very basic but good enough for a night or two.
A minimalist tiny home is featured, with a wooden deck and a single orange outdoor chair. Large glass doors reflect sunlight, opening to the surroundings. The structure is framed by trees, emphasizing the natural environment. A gravel path leads to the home.

Khancoban Cabin

LauraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My family and I had a lovely stay at Michael's Airbnb in Khancoban. We chose this place to spend the long weekend, not far from the mountains and it was very relaxing. We could walk to the local Cafe (just across the road), Information Centre and Alpine Inn for dinner. We enjoyed watching classic DVDs, visiting Tumbarumba vineyards and cooking. The enclosed fencing outside allowed our dogs to explore and meet the neighbour, Barney the Beagle. The beds and linen were comfy. Kindly note that the coffee machine and woodheater in the listing photos were unavailable. There was electric heating in all the main rooms however, it was quite drying. Note too that there is no wifi or dishwasher which may inconvenience larger family groups. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this place to future guests.

The Bunk House

We had a relaxing stay at this countryside getaway. When we arrived the woodburning stove was already roaring away for us, and the personal touches made it all the more special. The doggies have a lot of love to give and I look forward to seeing them again in the future, as well as the Brumbies, chooks, cats, sheeps, geese... We were especially lucky with the weather but, if it was pishing down then we'd still have been just as happy as it's a lovely, cosy cabin! Thanks, both, for a wonderful stay! Cheers!

Banjo Cottage

RyanRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Super nice views of the lake, only 7-8 mins into the nearest town and close to Selwyn snowfields (which is why I chose to stay here). Careful driving in/out early/late at night, LOTS of animals on the roads (cool for my passengers!). Was provided a free loaf of super nice sourdough bread upon arrival (which I enjoyed!) The house was warm, and the host offered to restock the wood fire each day (it was winter) and it was lovely coming back to a super warm/toasty place. Beds were comfortable, although one of the 'rooms' is just a corner with a curtain so not super private but for a family it's fine. Host was super responsive and helpful. No wifi, which is described in the listing - but I had 0 Vodafone reception (Telstra was OK) so if this is important to you you should consider this. This did give my kids a chance to experience using a DVD player for the first time in their life! haha (great choice of movies). Would stay here again.
