The cute wooden house has ALL mod cons, complete with small, perfectly formed kitchen, a wood burning stove (free logs) and a comfy double bed with spectacular pillow views of the Black Hill. In winter it’s all snuggling round the log burner with breath-taking views and wonderful walks, and in summer it’s outside living in a flower-rich meadow. Old Shop Cabin is a beautiful and relaxing place from which to enjoy Hay-on-Wye (the famous book town) and the wonderful countryside of the Black Mountains, the Brecon Beacons, and Herefordshire's Golden Valley. The cabin is the perfect place to come for a couples getaway. It is totally self-contained, has ample off-road parking and also has its own completely private, south-facing garden with a tranquil view looking out onto the village church.

We are in an excellent position for site seeing, walking and cycling, our local hotel is well known for salmon and course fishing along with good food there's also a number of country inns who serve food within a 10 minute drive for those who prefer not to cook. The county town of Hereford is 12 miles and the famous town of books Hay on Wye is 8 miles
