Our little shepherd’s hut is tucked away in the peaceful village of Snainton, Yorkshire. Situated on our small holding over-looking the corn fields surrounded by wildlife, with its own small wooded area to enjoy. Our hut has electric heating or log burner for those cold evenings, a cosy kitchen with gas hob, microwave, fridge tasters and kettle and an ensuite bathroom in an adjoining hut. We are only 10 miles from Scarborough on the coast, Dalby Forest or beautiful village of Thornton le Clay .

this is a beautiful peaceful retreat close to the village for convenience. so tranquil. the accommodation was beautifully furnished and set out. beds were great and everyone slept soundly. Just so restful like the outside surroundings which had gorgeous grounds. abigail was so friendly and always contactable if needed. we didn't need to bother her because there were no problems. would definitely book again. thanks abbie.

This is a haven of tranquility. Walk through the doors and you feel at home. So beautifully decorated, absolutely perfect in every way. We are keen cooks, love to spend time in the kitchen making meals and enjoying company of friends. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with all you need. Peter is an outstanding host and offers support instantly. We had a slight glitch with the internet (not Peter’s fault!) and he was so helpful and supportive. We love the place. Seriously LOVE! We will be back and look forward to being back!

We had a peaceful few days at Liz and Nick’s cottage. It was spotlessly clean and extremely peaceful, being set in the most beautiful surroundings. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and the home-baked cookies were delicious! Liz’s communication was excellent and she was very accommodating when we needed to change the days of our stay slightly. We would definitely recommend it to others.

Great find, the property is immaculate, tidy, well appointed , built and decorated to a high spec, has nice beds and furnishings and is warm and cosy . Perfect for 4 in two bedrooms which one bedroom can be can be twin or double. We were visiting an ill relative in the area so we’re not there as tourists as such but the area has so much on offer. So easy to get to Milton, Pickering , Whitby and Scarborough from the barn as in the village of Snainton but well away the main A170 road. Michaela the host is very helpful and responsive and provided everything anyone could want from a cosy , dog friendly property. Some great walks from the property and in immediate area too. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Fantastic!
