Curraghmore Cottage

Curraghmore Cottage is a renovated traditional Irish Cottage. An old style Farmhouse, originally a Land Commission Farm nearly one hundred years ago. It has been restored with its original layout with old farm sheds, gardens & haggard. It can only be described as a cosy & traditional cottage nestled away in the scenic West of Ireland. Situated outside Athenry & twenty kms East of Galway City. The Cottage offers guests a real taste of quiet country living , but still close to Galway City .

Eco-renovated stone barn

Beautiful timber/stone barn c200 yrs old renovated in 2015 to a high standard, set on an organically/permaculture inspired smallholding in countryside close to historic town Athenry. Featuring a large double bedroom with 4 poster bed, a sleeping loft. Fully fitted Kitchen. Contemporary Shower room with Compost Toilet. In 2021 we've added a wood-fired sauna and hot/cold shower spa area available for guests on one* night of your stay, subject to arrangement.

Meadowlands

Meadowlands is a modern four bedroomed home with comfortable and spacious living, dining & kitchen areas, large back garden, plenty of parking and a fifteen minute walk to the centre of Mountbellew. Ideally located to explore local amenities such as the Bellew Estate and Woodland (across the road), the Hymany Way and other walking and cycling routes taking in river, bog and woodland as well providing an excellent base to explore the West of Ireland.

The Retreat

Our retreat at the log cabin is the ideal setting for someone who wants to escape and find peace and quiet to read, meditate, cycle or walk. We are centrally located being only 45mins from Galway city and Athlone town and closer again to the heritage towns of Tuam and Roscommon. We are a small holding with a polytunnel, hens and bees. We aspire to live an organic life as much as possible, growing and saving our own vegetables and fruit.

Luxury Truck Lodge with Private Pool

This is a unique space, tastefully decorated, cozy and relaxing, a little haven, on a mature site, surrounded by lovely gardens. It contains a king size bed, sitting area and TV, kitchen and a bathroom/shower. A generous patio, with a table and chairs. It has all modern conveniences, inc fibre broadband, a selection of TV channels, a blue tooth speaker to listen to your music. You also have access to a private swimming pool and sauna.

Lurgeen Cottage

Guests will enjoy the well-planned kitchen/dining/living area. Outside the cottage, the gardens are mature and well maintained. Two friendly dogs roam freely on the site. To the rear, guests will enjoy a small orchard area. Kiltullagh lake is visible from the front of the property. Garden seating is available to watch the sun set over the lake.

The Writer's Cottage, secluded woodland setting

The Roundwood Cottages, The Writer's Cottage and The Forge, are located on the grounds of Roundwood House, a beautiful and historically significant 18th century Irish Country House. They are a perfect haven, whether you come to explore the Irish midlands or just to wind down a little. Each sleeps two people.

Enjoy the peaceful country surroundings in this unique area. Walking distance to Ballyglunin old train station. Half an hour to Galway city. 20 mins to Athenry and 15 mins to Tuam. The place is suitable for 2 adults but can also accommodate 1 more or a child at no extra cost.
