Elstree is a self-contained annexe to our house with allocated parking off-road and basic kitchen facilities — suitable for a short break but not for hosting dinner parties! We welcome pets and kids (although we don’t provide specialist things for infants and teenagers might find it a squash!). It is 10 min leisurely walk to the town centre and beautiful Scarborough South Bay beach, all theatres and seaside essentials. A home from home cosy space for peace, quiet and rest.

We had a wonderful stay! The location was absolutely lovely and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing break. The property had a lot of space and offered great privacy, which made it feel like a real escape. One of the quirkiest (and most charming) features was the emus—such a fun and unexpected addition! The bed was really comfortable. The host was friendly, responsive, and made sure everything went smoothly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a unique and tranquil getaway. I enjoyed a lovely, peaceful stay at The Poetree - I didn't want to leave. Wendy and Fynn were the perfect hosts, there when I needed them but not intrusive. Fynn very helpfully showed me the best way to walk into York and was very thorought in guiding me around the house when I checked in. It really is the perfect place to unwind and take some time to yourself, especially when the sun is shining. The walk into York took me about 30 minutes, which was great for me. I hope to have an opportunity to visit again and stay a little longer next time!

We had a wonderful anniversary break at Bluebell. Sammy and Jo were friendly, helpful and very accommodating and the little touches like treats for the dog were very much appreciated. This is a true peaceful idyll with a gorgeous beach in walking distance and surrounded by wildlife including rabbits, sheep, deer, and pheasants. Sammy’s guide book is particularly helpful and we had a spectacular meal out at The Farrier as per her recommendation. A beautiful location and wonderful hosts!

This is a haven of tranquility. Walk through the doors and you feel at home. So beautifully decorated, absolutely perfect in every way. We are keen cooks, love to spend time in the kitchen making meals and enjoying company of friends. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with all you need. Peter is an outstanding host and offers support instantly. We had a slight glitch with the internet (not Peter’s fault!) and he was so helpful and supportive. We love the place. Seriously LOVE! We will be back and look forward to being back!
