Cosy Yorkshire Dales cottage in idyllic setting

SimonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A charming cottage in an idyllic location. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet comfortable retreat in the Yorkshire Dales. There is superb hiking straight from the front door and I can recommend the short adventurous walk across the fields to the Bolton Arms pub at Downholme. The cottage was comfortable and cosy. It has some quirky features you would expect of a very old stone built home, so don't have unreasonable expectations of a hotel-style accommodation, enjoy the individual charm of this place, which is furnished and equipped to a high standard. We cooked in most evenings and found the kitchen to be very well equipped, even for baking. If you prefer to go out, Richmond is a short drive away with many restaurants and shops. We loved our stay at this cottage and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Phil's Cottage. Sleeps 2 maximum 1 dog

JoannaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Myself, my husband and our 5 month old little boy had a lovely stay at Phil’s Cottage. It’s easy to see why Phil’s Cottage has so many excellent reviews! It’s a gorgeous cottage, very clean and in a lovely setting. Hosts were friendly and very responsive. Definitely the most equipped kitchen in a cottage we have stayed in - we had everything we needed! We really appreciated the fresh eggs and welcome pack too, a lovely surprise. Excellent for staying with a baby - plenty of room for a travel cot, a bath (with a baby bath provided) and even a small table in the bedroom for setting up night feeds, it was perfect. We had a great stay and will definitely be back, thanks so much!

We had a fantastic stay at the Manor for our family get together, the Manor was very spacious with a well equipped kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and plenty of space for our family of twelve. We especially enjoyed the garden which had plenty of tables and chairs for us all, the children had a great time. Highly recommend!

A grand historic building is depicted, featuring intricate stonework and multiple towers. Neatly manicured gardens surround the structure, with rows of symmetrical hedges and pathway lined gravel. The overcast sky casts a soft light over the scene, accentuating the architecture and landscaping.

Historic peaceful cottage in town centre!

AdamRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I stayed here before attending a wedding in Barnard Castle. It’s a great location on the high street. Two nice bedrooms and a spacious area downstairs. It’s easy to find. I came on my home but would happily return with family to look around the town more.

Charming 18th Century cottage

HayleyRating, 5 starstoday
We had a lovely break at Emmanuelle's place. There was everything we needed & more for the perfect stay, the bottle of wine was a nice touch too. It is situated in a lovely peaceful area, with lots of beautiful scenic walks & plenty of things to see & do nearby. We were warmly greeted by a squirrel on the bird feeding station on arrival & took great pleasure in watching the varied species of birds feeding each day in the lovely private back garden. The pizza oven looked fab but we didn't get chance to use it on this occasion. Parking was easy enough, located opposite the property at The Fox & Hounds, a nice dog friendly pub. We would highly recommend this place & will definitely visit again in the future

Cosy cottage for two with superking or twin beds

EmmaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We absolutely loved our stay at The Nook for two nights. The area is so peaceful and beautiful. The Red Lion is lovely for a pint, and The CB Inn is a 10 minute walk away and has lovely food, drink, a pool table and dart board. We drove in to Richmond for a lovely day out. The Nook is so comfortable, it’s furnished beautifully and you have everything you could possibly need. Heather is next door for anything extra you may need. Would 100% recommend a visit to this lovely house and lovely area x
