The Bee Shed

CameoRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Bee House was a wonderful base for exploring the Pyrenees! The view from the house is picture-perfect and the house itself is lovely. We appreciated having the laundry available (no dryer, but a drying rack is provided) and the kitchen had all that we needed. A couple of things to know: If you are unfamiliar with the Pyrenees, there is often a drive involved in getting to different hikes and outdoor attractions because they are spread throughout the range. This home is not as close as other options, but every drive is stunningly beautiful and we did not regret our choice in lodging. Also, there is a steep hill to climb up to the cabin. There are wooden ties put in to aid in grip and erosion, but they are not stairs. In addition, the staircase does not have a traditional railing and is open on the outside edge. As with many staircases in Europe, it is more steep than American standards. Just be aware if you book. If you are fit to handle the climbing, this is a wonderful house!

Grange Cornemusé in the heart of the Pyrenees

LéaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What a wonderful stay! Magali and Laurent were excellent hosts from our reservation to our departure. Accustomed to family stays, this home is by far the best we've rented. The renovation of the Grange was done with great taste, the equipment of the accommodation was above our expectations. The environment is beautiful and peaceful. The cleanliness is impeccable. We also had the pleasant surprise of discovering small touches. It's a flawless!! We will be sure to recommend the Cornemusé Barn. Thank you Magali and Laurent for your kindness. renovated fairground barn in Toys country

AndreiRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The building is amazingly located and has breathtaking views. A recent conversion from a barn into a 3 bedroom - with a wide open ground floor. The hamlet of Grust is perched on the mountainside above Luz Saint Saveur. 10 minute drive or 1 hour walk to town where there are a bunch of restaurants, grocery shopping, gas etc. Lots of hiking trails - both starting on foot from the house or within easy driving distance to the trailhead. Only caveat - google maps will direct you to take a route through tiny village streets D149 -Bayen-D212. This is pretty challenging driving especially with a larger vehicle. We continued on D921 to d12. Once you get to the hamlet -the barn is right in front of the city hall (Mairie) We would love to come back and spend more time. The house and the terrace are well worth a 2nd trip.

Great accommodation: secluded, quiet, green with the possibility of walking in the surroundings and easily accessible. Oleg is discreet but responsive to any message. The accommodation is simple, but well-equipped with all the essentials, which is very nice.

Mountain House With Unique View

LinziRating, 5 starstoday
This place is in a quiet beautiful neighborhood, with the conveniences of a small town only 8 min away (groceries, weekly market, gas). The view from the window seat is gorgeous! Nicolette supplied everything I could have needed (salt, pepper, pots, pans, dishes, shower gel, hair dryer, etc). You should definitely take a walk around the neighborhood and have a look at all the gardens full of flowers! It was the peaceful getaway that I needed.
