Come enjoy our private 5 acres of Pinon trees with the convenience of being 5 minutes from town. Enjoy the joys of children on property and views of incredible mountains with the wildlife that frequents our "back yard". Relax in our private guest area locked off from the rest of our home including a kitchenette and laundry area, all separated from the rest of the house by a custom built and locking doorway. We accept dogs but cannot accept cats due to other guests’ allergies. There is a pet fee.

My sister and I had a wonderful experience with Doug and felt right at home at his little rustic cabin nestled in an Aspen grove by the creek. The surrounding area is beautiful and Doug was very helpful with local recommendations. Bonus points for helping us load the car after I came down with appendicitis on our last day and had to have an appendectomy, which limited my lifting capabilities. Thanks, Doug! We’ll definitely look at coming back soon! And hopefully I’ll not lose another organ while I’m there! :-)

Great overall location and perfect for the 4 of us. We hit all the surrounding areas - Buena Vista, Salida, Leadville, Taylor Res, and the hot springs. The deck is huge and perfect to listen to the river flowing. Alan was responsive and helpful every step of the way!!
