Great place ! Much bigger than I originally thought. Will definitely stay again!

A cute little annex/flat with everything you need for a retreat away. Biddy's artwork gives the place a unique feel and a lot of thought has gone into the set up. You have your own little garden area in which Biddy allowed me to have a fire, even kindly providing me with the firepit! Shops are short walk away if supplies are needed, amazing walks on your doorstep (just walk to the top of the hill and down a track on the left to get to the river!). I didn't try out the canoeing but definitely will next time! A lovely stay and great value

Biddy's place is very cheerful, full of her artwork. Although we only met briefly on the way out, her lovely family welcomed us and even taught us some Welsh. :) Definitely recommend!

Biddys house is quirky and charming. Biddy was very kind and helpful and we were very comfortable. It is a very pretty village and you can walk to the pubs and restaurants quite easily.

The best,go check it out if you have plenty of time,mid Wales just grows on you. Coast,forest and open moorland 20mins away. On the doorstep beautiful shallow wide fast flowing river and mad canoeists.Really lovely artist musician writer guru house.

nice place to say value for money

I decided to return to Biddy's house as I enjoyed my last stay. Although she was away she communicated with me effectively, making sure that I was comfortable at her home.

I had a short but lovely stay at Catherines!

It was great to stay at Catherines place. She answerde very quick on my last minute request and was also very flexible. Her dog is one of the shiniest ones i have ever seen and was as friendly as Catherine herself. The bed was comfy and the kitchen great.

Very close to town, Catherine was a great host and house was ideal for what I needed. Catherine also has a lovely dog who welcomed me just as well as Catherine did! Would definitely stay again :) Thank you!

Well located, quiet and comfortable. I was there for a very short stay but I slept very well. Excellent communication and easy check in.

Beautiful place! Very clean, check in couldn’t be easier, and absolutely loved the thoughtful additions of coffee, milk, tea, cute little welshcakes, shampoo, conditioner etc that were left in the room. Anwen and Charlie obviously take immense pride in hosting which is very much appreciated. The Daffodil Inn close by is a must for dinner, the food is delicious! Thanks again for the lovely stay!

Such a gorgeous room. Own keys and entrance. The en suite is absolutely beautiful with a great shower! Really thoughtful touches, tea available in the room as well as a coffee maker! Such a fantastic place. Easy to find following google maps! Would recommend to everyone!

Very clean great night, in a self contained room,with own lockable door, bed comfy, shower was amazing was a wet room nice large area, lovely touch having milk in the fridge, coffee pods, and tea bags, only met Anwen who was very friendly, the daffodil pub serves lovely food bit expensive though.

The cottage is very cosy, has a lovely garden and is surrounded by natural scenery/ woods. It felt so nice to wake up to the birds chirping. Had a wonderful time thanks to both, Chris & Jacqueline who took care of even the little things which made our stay extra comfortable. It was easy to drive to most of the sightseeing spots and there were lots of options and good food places too.

Absolutely fabulous! Wonderful cosy beautiful and immaculate house. Lovely touches like snuggly throws and lovely food left for breakfast. We are vegan and he went to the trouble to provide us with a brilliant vegan breakfast. We will definitely be back! We cannot reccomend this highly enough!

This is one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Carwyn is so nice and goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need. The house was great, really nice kitchen and thoughtful touches. Really just the nicest people you’ll ever meet with a great listing. Definitely would stay here again.

I stayed for one night while visiting family. The room is tiny but cosy (on a freezing January night!) and well-equipped with television, private bathroom, desk, and very comfortable bed. Great location in the centre of town. Would stay again.

Genuinely cannot fault my stay. The room is clean and comfortable and the house is beautifully kept. Absolutely no faults. What an amazing find this extremely beautiful cottage in the middle of town with secure car parking! The finishing touches and attention to detail was superb. Local produce supplied made it extra special and at a price you would not believe. Contact with the owner was easy and keenly dedicated to giving a fab experience as if you were family. We loved our stay Arabella’s lovely home. We were welcomed with lots of lovely local food and drink - yum yum!! The decor of the house was amazing and had everything that we needed...and more. There is a large shopping/ leisure area just 2 minutes walk away - perfect for our 3 teenage kids. We went to lovely Tenby for the day - about a 40 minute drive away. Overall a great three days away. We had a lovely stay in this beautifully renovated cottage. From the very warm welcome from Kay the owner to the thoughtful welcome items she provided, we enjoyed it all. It was great having a kitchen to cook our own meals but as the cottage is so centrally located it is also close to restaurants and takeaways. We particularly enjoyed the curries at Cinnamon. The cottage is a calm and relaxing space, just what we needed for a weekend of studying at the university. I highly recommend Weavers Cottage and hope to be back. Thankyou again to Kay and Arabella.

Clean,with your own bathroom,quiet and about 7 minutes walking from city Centre and restaurants .Everything I needed after long day's work.

If you are looking for a beautiful and comfortable cottage in equally beautiful surroundings this is the place for you. The cottage is really well equipped and warm in the winter. It's set on a farm with walks on the doorstep or have a relaxing evening in front of the log burner. There is so much to see in this area and Mark, who is a great and welcoming host, is on hand for advice.

It’s was lovely location and we enjoyed the cottage and the walks. The fresh eggs and cake were delicious - thank you again - and Mark was very helpful and welcoming. Our son loved the animals and had great fun feeding the chickens with Mark.

I was very pleasantly surprised to have my expectations to the cottage exceeded. The cottage and location are everything that you could ask for when looking for a rural retreat and Mark has such fantastic attention to detail to ensure the stay is as comfortable as possible. The warm welcome continued throughout the stay and my dogs and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Standing Stone. Many thanks for the lovely cake and fresh eggs and for being a truly amazing host.

Outstanding cottage, with every mod con, for much less than you would expect to pay. Friendly host, nothing is too much trouble, and he cooks! The farm is so peaceful, with its own woodland walk, including sun drenched benches by the pond. Plenty to do in the surrounding area, or spend time in the cottage, in front of the roaring log stove, or out in the private cottage garden.

Amazing stay at standing stone cottage. It's in a lovely setting. A lot of effort has been put into making the cottage and the surrounding farm a great place to stay. Lovely to receive a yummy cake on arrival and lucky to get some fresh eggs from the chickens. Our 2 Yr old loved the animals. The farm is very rural, be prepared for driving up and down lots of hills, it's a great location to visit the surrounding countryside and beautiful coast line. Keep doing what you do I wouldn't change a thing!! Thankyou again for a great week.

What a place! So much fun to be had and relaxing at the same time. The location is out of this world, peaceful and idyllic. Easy to get to coastal towns or stay in the countryside. The cottage itself has everything you need and is a real home away from home. The farm is stunning to walk/cycle around even for children. Marks hospitality is second to none from check in to check out and I agree with everyone else....the cake mmmm mmmm Thank you Mark for a fantastic time.

Meet the extra mile hosts! I think I run out of "feedback stars". They are the most welcome and generous hosts I have never met. Nothing is too much for them, they will look into all your needs to make sure you have a extraordinary and enjoyable stay at their place. This also included travelling with my house cat and making sure my cat was also comfortable and happy. Their place is allocated in a very beautiful natural setting yet, not too far from other towns to do any shopping or enjoy a coffe. It is a good place for exploring the West of Wales or choosing to stay and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of their location. Their property is very special shared with other beautiful and friendly 3 cats and few gentle and loving chickens. The house is lovely, modern and very tasfully decorated. It is also kept very tidy and clean with an eco friendly mind set. As well as your room, you have the sun room with the lovely views to their garden and amusing chickens if you feel you would like to relax having a cuppa by yourself. The Blue Room with beautiful views indeed, offered more that what I expected. Very spacious and very beautifully decorated. It has a TV and the bed is super comfortable

I love staying at this Airbnb... it has to be the most wonderful and beautiful place ever... because I keep coming back!! Nestled amongst perfect countryside along with gorgeous views... this lovely home is fabulous in every respect, from the attention to detail, to the cutest chickens and hedgehogs along with great hospitality makes for a magical stay! Hosts, Karen and Rikki are friendly, fun, great conversationalists and are now my friends... this is a phenomenal experience... not to be missed!!!

A wonderful place to stay for a quiet weekend exploring the area. Sparkling clean, comfy beds, excellent shower, and everything you could possibly need to cook meals, wash clothes, and socialise. An extra special touch were all the items in the kitchen for breakfast, and in the bathroom just in case you forget your toothpaste! Jackie was a friendly, warm host who provided excellent communication. The check-in was smooth, we felt like nothing was too much trouble, and we had a great weekend.

A fantastic place set near to Carmarthen.

The annexe is a great place to stay. It has a well equipped kitchen (microwave, sink, fridge, washing machine and dryer). The bed is extremely comfy and the walk in shower/ wet room was brilliant. There is a table and chair set inside and out so you can make the most of the fresh air. Victoria’s place is an ideal place to stay if you are visiting relatives in Glangwili - only 5 minutes away in the car. Carmarthen centre also only 5 minutes away. Be sure to visit Dexter’s bar and grill. Their steaks are mouthwatering. It has recently been renovated and reopened and the staff are extremely friendly. All in all this is a great place to stay - highly recommended.

The flat is very spacious. We paid £123 for two nights and wasn’t quite the standard that we have been used to from air bnb. I got the feeling that it was work in progress with no frills. The single bed is a camp bed. There wasn’t a smoke detector and exit from the 2nd floor would be a challenge in the event of a fire. The property details do state no heating and there isn’t ! A a fan above the fire in the longe doesn’t give enough heat to warm the open plan lounge. Upstairs felt damp and was a bit cold. I’m sure that some of my comments will be rectified in which case :- Would we stay there again - yes but not in colder months

Ryan is a wonderful person(super host), he runs this amazing place which is 20 mins away from Skanda vale. An ideal place for Skanda vale piligrims The best things about the place are Sleeps 7 Kitchen with all the amnesties Shops and restaurants next door Amazing view from the window Local attractions like the beach and rivers are less than 20 min drive

We had such a lovely time at Nicola’s place! The cottage was so lovely and cosy! Nicola had the fire going for our arrival so it was nice and warm. She was so helpful with loads of knowledge on local things to do and gave us fab recommendations for events going on. Nicola is so friendly and approachable and was there straight away if we needed anything! The cottage was completely renovated by herself and had loads of nice little touches to make it so homely. Honestly I was blown away by her skills in carpentry! We love sight seeing and we managed to see so much in one day! We went to llansteffan castle first which had a gorgeous beach and stunning views from the castle. We stopped for tea in a little cafe and sat outside soaking in the sun. We then went to tally abbey and were awestruck by the magnitude of the ruins. From there we went to dryslwyn castle and Payton’s tower which again gave us the opportunity to take in the stunning views of the countryside. We then had a quick stop off in camarthen town to see the castle and have a quick nose about the shops before heading back to the cottage for a lovely cosy night in front of the fire. Overall we had such a fabulous time! We will definitely be returning to complete our tour of historical sites that we didn’t manage to do on the Sunday due to the storm. Which is fab as it gives us the opportunity to stay with Nicola in her beautiful cottage again and get to play with her stunning dogs!

Such a cosy, quiet, peaceful place for a relaxing retreat. We spent a lovely couple of days exploring the coasts and forests by day, and snuggling up by the log fire in the evenings. Jackie and Dave were very attentive hosts, offering plenty of helpful tips and answering our questions quickly and efficiently. We spent a very enjoyable afternoon with Jackie in her pottery studio learning to throw, which was a fantastic bonus.

Cozy, lovely little place to stay. Everything you need to have a stop off whilst travelling around. Clean and modern in a lovely little village. Would happily stay here again!

Nice and cozy room in a very friendly village. Would recommend! Tiny bit tricky to find as the building is just on the end corner of a one way road but easy to locate once you know how which road you need to take to get there.

Expect exceptioal hosting, fabulous accomadation and brilliant views! Lots to see and do within 30 mins drive and lovely pub just down the hill.

We were looking for a short notice place to stay, at a reasonable price, to save us camping in the rain and this cottage came up! It’s in a very quiet spot of South Wales which did mean some travelling but we went to 2 different beaches, Narberth and Blue Lagoon In 4 days, so made the most of what the weather gave us! The cottage was great, very clean and with all the amenities we needed. We also got to meet the horses!

When you arrive you are met by the host with a friendly reception and very clean accommodation.

A beautiful oasis of tranquility not to be missed if you're looking for a peaceful get-away in a natural setting. Andy met us with a lovely introduction. The bungalow was charming with some really pretty touches. The lake, river and woods were just a minutes away. It was so quiet and relaxing! You can light open fires in the small seating area or by the lake. Bring supplies as the nearest shop isn't great. There's a fantastic organic farm shop about 30 minutes away in Lampeter, which also has an award winning chipper. The beach was thirty minutes away too but we just drove past as it was packed on the bank holiday weekend. We would definitely come back in Autumn and Winter!

Beautiful location in the depths of Wales. We received a warm welcome from Eeva and met by a friendly cat who seemed to want to share the cottage with us when we first arrived. We both thoroughly enjoyed watching the birds and especially the woodpecker feasting on the nuts from the window overlooking the valley. We look forward to coming to stay again.

Had a wonderful stay at wrens nest, if your looking for tranquility this is the place. Great surroundings, and country walks near by. Cosy cottage with all your needs. My dogs thoroughly enjoyed the hikes we did. Watching birds feed on the feeder, peaceful and relaxing. Friendly and helpful hosts. Definitely would come again. :)

We needed somewhere close to Carmarthen for my father's birthday the week end before christmas so we looked at hotels first. They were all really expensive so we looked at Airbnb for the first time and found this wonderful place. It's not too far out of Carmarthen and is an unique house on several floors. It feels homely and cosy and has all the facilities you need but still retains the quirky old house feel. I had to do battle with the coal fire to get it to work (not sure I entirely cracked it) but that was great fun. I would probably have had more success if I had read the extensive instructions that were provided. The property was absolutely spotless and had several nice touches such as milk in the fridge, tea and coffee provided as well as many others. This was an ideal place to stay for the weekend and would also be suitable for a longer stay.

Perfect place for our overnight stay

We stayed for two nights and Alice made us very welcome. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and more, including extra touches with flowers in the rooms. Beds were comfy and having two toilets handy at times. The weather was great for October but cooled in th evening and Alice kindly lit a fire for us to return to a cosy home. We enjoyed adding logs both evenings. Our trip to St David's was super and we went on a coastal walk from St Justinian which was stunning. An unexpected highlight was seeing baby seals basking in the sun on the rocks whilst watching what seemed like their parents playing in the water. There are many places of interest to visit in the area. I wish we could have stayed longer and would recommend a stay at Alice's place.

Beautiful peaceful cottage

The strawbale house is an amazing building it has so much character inside and out. Its relaxing and perfect for a quiet break. The bed is now super comftable i had the best nights sleep i have had in ages. The house has most things you could need. Ross is helpful and there when needed. I think this for most is a must stay!

Amazing eco roundhouse, very inspiring and calming space. New mattress and wooden crafted bed was lovely to sleep on for the two nights, will definitely be booking again for a longer stay. 5*!

We didn’t actually with Ross as storm Dennis made the prospect of travelling too dangerous and we cancelled last minute. Ross kindly agreed to allow us to re-book another time with one night for free. Thanks Ross

Very nice relaxing stay

The location is quite and nice! Very cosy wood fire. The bed is not very comfortable. Is a sofa bed. We moved the mattress to the floor, which was ok for two days. But, not sure if I could sleep on the floor for more nights. Ross is a very friendly and helpful host. I would really recommend this little pad for a get away from the noisy cities or as a romantic weekend away.

Definitely going back, such a nice place

Caroline was a great host with excellent communication and directions. The room and private bathroom were big and had everything you needed. The extras like the fridge, tea/coffee and selection of breakfast cereals, bread etc was fantastic and the crumpets went down a treat. Would stay again if we were in the area.

Caroline made us both feel welcome and at home! Her property is lovely and homely, detached which we loved however very close to all amenities if you need to go anywhere!! We loved the authentic beams and being in the countryside!!!

An absolutely beautiful, stylish, self-contained double room, with huge en-suite and coffee/tea/breakfast area - WiFi is amazing too. Location was absolutely perfect for me, and if you're looking for a relaxing 'get away from it all' break I think you'll be hard pressed to find anywhere better. Caroline and Kit are the perfect hosts, relaxed and friendly. All in all, a perfect few days!

This is the second time I’ve stayed at Lauren’s place and it was just as good as I remembered. Lauren is just incredibly easy to be around, and encourages you to make yourself at home. A totally stress free and relaxing place to stay.

Lauren’s home is more like an art gallery. She is a wonderful very friendly host. Even on the first night we chatted away, you would think that we had known each other for ages. I would surely be back when next in Carmarthen.

We had a wonderful stay at Liz and Mark's, the little cottage is very practical and well situated. The countryside is amazing. The cottage was very clean and our two year old was very safe and quite happy with the huge shower. The weather turned abruptly cold while we were there, I would advise anyone coming in the winter to bring their slippers with them! We would definitely recommend staying there.

Great accommodation, lovely hosts. We were fortunate enough to meet both hosts but they also gave us privacy. Gorgeous setup, stunning views. We would definitely return. Long weekend of relaxation.

The cosy relaxing retreat I didn’t know I needed. Liz and Mark’s place is in a quiet location in the rural Welsh countryside. There is no noise, no city buzz. Just us, our own little bubble. The accommodation is light, airy and clean. There is off road parking available - and you’ll need a car. Liz and Mark are fantastic hosts. Before our stay they provided directions, and guides on what to do. I wanted to visit Dylan Thomas’s Boat house, and Liz provided me directions. Mark also waited for us to greet us and show us around the accommodation. We also must have stayed on a good weekend, because Liz gave us cake! We were also there for a birthday, and Liz & Mark left us birthday banners. I enjoyed my stay, and hope to visit again sometime!

Great amenities with lots of suggestions of local places to visit and garden was fully enclosed perfect for the dogs as completely escape proof! Warm home, warm welcome. The small touches; loaf of bread, butter, milk and eggs (cookies and wine) made us feel very welcome at this property. Suited our needs very well, peace and quiet and not too far to travel. Janie's is worth seeking out, we were made to feel very welcome in this part of West Wales.

Very well placed for exploring mid-Wales. The cottage has comfy beds and was warm and cozy. Frances is a very helpful host. On arrival she had brought bread, milk and eggs which was a lovely touch and previous guests had left lots of sauces and spices in the cupboards. Nearby Carmarthen has all the shops you might need. When we stayed the TV picked up all the BBC channels. Incredibly good value. We will return.

Frances was very easy to work with and communicate with. Always friendly and even brought over sweets like ginger cake. As students staying in Wales for clinical rotations at Glangwili this place was perfectly located. It had everything we needed: two individual bedrooms, working shower with hot water, washing machine, wifi, etc. The water pressure in the shower was lower than what we are used to, but it was not a problem. Only issue that kept cropping up was the stove/oven would stop working. However, Frances was always quick to come over and work on it to fix it. Overall, would recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in Carmarthen for a nice, low price.

Had a lovely week at this cottage - pleasantly surprised at how modern the amenities were - we've had great communication with Frances and it was lovely that she had put milk butter etc in the fridge ready for our arrival - we took camping chairs and table and were able to sit out on an evening - the road is a bit noisy - just don't put ur light sleepers in the front bedroom it's been great we loved it and would definitely go back if we visit Wales again xx

Frances is a very thoughtful host - she brought us milk, bread and free range eggs when she met us when we arrived, and was very kind and helpful. The house is really nicely set-up. Quite traditional, which we loved! The surrounding countryside is beautiful. Although the house is on the main road, we didn't find it to be noisy. Thank you very much indeed!
