  • A cute little annex/flat with everything you need for a retreat away. Biddy's artwork gives the place a unique feel and a lot of thought has gone into the set up. You have your own little garden area in which Biddy allowed me to have a fire, even kindly providing me with the firepit! Shops are short walk away if supplies are needed, amazing walks on your doorstep (just walk to the top of the hill and down a track on the left to get to the river!). I didn't try out the canoeing but definitely will next time! A lovely stay and great value

This is a Detached Bungalow, A Dairy Barn Conversation in the style of a Welsh Long House. Dating 1859. It is Placed In a Rural Setting of rolling fields and a young wood. The decor is rustic with flagstone floor, beams in the living space and a wood burner for cosy evenings. There are neighbours so it’s not completely isolated and it is peaceful.
What’s makes the the area special is the surrounding rural environment. It’s grean with lots of birds and wildlife, peace and quiet.

A double room in my comfortable, arty home. Cosy, light, cheerful and homely. House has views over the Teifi valley; close to Canoe club & all amenities; twenty-five minute drive to Heritage coast beaches; great for walkers, cyclists, & nature lovers. Free tea and coffee. Breakfast on request for small additional fee. Other single/double rooms also available on request for an extra fee. Shared kitchen, bathroom and sitting room with log fire. Lovely garden with sun deck and fire-pit. Free WiFi.
Mine is an interesting house which was originally a small school founded and run by Thomas's great uncle, William Marles. The house is large and airy, with newly decorated sitting room. Bay windows look out, over the garden, across the valley to the river Teifi, though you would never guess this from the street. The kitchen is large and has all amenities. The garden is private, sunny and bursting with life. There is a fire-pit for night time stargazing on the deck.
Llandysul is traditional small Welsh town, with a selection of shops, pubs, cafes and takeaways. It is well placed as a base for fabulous local walks and for exploring the beautiful Teifi Valley and the Heritage Coast with its many excellent beaches. As well as exciting activities such as canoeing (Llandysul Paddlers) and coasteering, there is plenty of rolling countryside to discover on foot or on wheels. There is a cycle network easily accessed from Llandysul and the Brechfa forest cycle trail is not far away. There is a Leisure centre with gym and sports hall and swimming pool just a short walk away.
  • Lovely, warm and generous people; a cosy, arty house and a really comfy bed made Biddy's place a wonderfully welcoming and peaceful base for exploring the area. Wholeheartedly recommended. Thank you Biddy :-)

Charming private room in a cosy three bedroom terrace house. Shared living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. Garden and shower room are currently a work in progress which I aim to complete asap. See @housebybettyguesthouse on Instagram if you'd like to have a look at the progress, or if you just love interiors and DIY.
The guesthouse is a relaxing place to stay with wooden flooring throughout and a rustic, earthy vibe. The spaces are all communal so you can have the option of company if you wish. The rooms are very spacious and there is a shared TV room if you'd like to sit and watch movies or just read a book on the bean bag or sofa. There is a beautiful tabby cat called Betty who lives here too, she's super cute and loves people.
Carmarthen is a beautiful town filled with things to do. Stretching from Carmarthen Bay in the south to the western Beacons and Cambrian Mountains in the north, with wondrous gardens, awe-inspiring castles, Wales’s longest beaches, and market towns brimming with local produce and independent shopping.

A lovely property on the edge of a small village with the best eatery for miles around that’s within walking distance. The village has a fantastic little shop that has something for everybody including vegans, champagne lovers and freshly made croissants and breads from 7am every day. Private drive and parking, access to private garden and fabulous views. It’s like a very decent hotel room without the hotel.
The house is on the edge of a charming little village of Penrhiwllan. We are 15 min from the coast and have the lovely Cenarth falls just 10 min down the road. Visitors enjoy our stunning country views and the spacious garden. The room is light, modern and clean with a fantastic, ensuite with walk in shower. There is a coffee machine and some snacks to enjoy. There is TV and wifi available
Penrhiwllan is a little village between Llandysul and Newcastle Emlyn. There is a well stocked village shop with a fantastic range of wines. The Daffodil is fantastic gastropub within the village which is open Wednesday-Sundays. We are 10 min from Cenarth where you can enjoy lovely walks, waterfalls, and river fishing. Cyclists can also enjoy fantastic cycle paths at the welsh wildlife centre, Cilgerran, Cardigan. We have wonderful beaches to explore such as Llangrannog, Tresaith (surfing beach), Penbryn, New Quay (boat rides and dolphin spotting), Aberaeron, Poppit sands and Gwbert. We also have a wool museum, honey farm, Caws Cenarth cheese makers, Glass, pottery and art galleries nearby.
  • Beautiful place! Very clean, check in couldn’t be easier, and absolutely loved the thoughtful additions of coffee, milk, tea, cute little welshcakes, shampoo, conditioner etc that were left in the room. Anwen and Charlie obviously take immense pride in hosting which is very much appreciated. The Daffodil Inn close by is a must for dinner, the food is delicious! Thanks again for the lovely stay!

  • Genuinely cannot fault my stay. The room is clean and comfortable and the house is beautifully kept. Absolutely no faults. Gareth is one of the most friendly people, always trying to make the stay more comfortable and let’s it known that he is around if you have any problems. Great location, moments away from the town centre. Would highly recommend.

BRAND NEW AIRBNB! Weavers cottage is notably one of the oldest cottages in the historic town of Carmarthen sited on the river Towy. Carmarthen lays claim to being one of, the oldest towns in Wales. Weavers cottage is on the doorstep of the town centre. The town boasts many independent and bespoke shops, cafes and restaurants but also high street stores such as Debenhams and Marks and Spencer’s. There are various outlets such as Domino’s, KFC, Dunelm, MacDonald’s etc. We provide a permit to park in a secure Apcoa carpark directly opposite Weavers Cottage. We have taken two years to restore Weavers Cottage in a sensitive way. We have kept or restored as many of the original features as possible. The cottage has a living room which has four comfy seats but plenty of stools and cushions. There is a large television and wifi. The first staircase leads to a double bedroom. Unfortunately, we must apologise for traffic noise from this bedroom but we are currently organising secondary double glazing. There is also a twin room adjacent and also a toilet and sink on the same level. There is an additional surprise bedroom leading from the kitchen via a paddle staircase. This currently has one single bed but should further accommodation be required I am sure we can find an inflatable mattress. We don’t allow smoking in the house but there is a small back yard with table and chairs. This area is a real suntrap in the summer and always pretty with bedding plants. The kitchen is modern with microwave. There is a table that seats four but is expandable to seat another four. From Carmarthen, seaside resorts are easy to access such as Laugharne (associated with Dylan Thomas) and the beautiful beaches of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. It is great for walkers or cyclists with Brechfa Forest, Preseli’s and even the Brecon Beacons.
  • Quirky and quaint - absolutely loved it Thoughtful tasty welcome pack Lovely touches from scented candles to cosy hot water bottles we would love to stay again for longer.

  • What an amazing find this extremely beautiful cottage in the middle of town with secure car parking! The finishing touches and attention to detail was superb. Local produce supplied made it extra special and at a price you would not believe. Contact with the owner was easy and keenly dedicated to giving a fab experience as if you were family. We hope to come back again.

    Mary2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Best air B&b in camarthen. Arabella couldn’t do enough for us and we wish we could have stayed for longer. Excellent location and superb accommodation. Cannot recommend enough!

    Gemma2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay Arabella’s lovely home. We were welcomed with lots of lovely local food and drink - yum yum!! The decor of the house was amazing and had everything that we needed...and more. There is a large shopping/ leisure area just 2 minutes walk away - perfect for our 3 teenage kids. We went to lovely Tenby for the day - about a 40 minute drive away. Overall a great three days away. Thanks Arabella.

  • What a gem of a place this is! So central to walk anywhere in Carmarthen and a great place to explore the area. Beautifully decorated space, great amenities and excellent value for money!

    Jonathan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in this beautifully renovated cottage. From the very warm welcome from Kay the owner to the thoughtful welcome items she provided, we enjoyed it all. It was great having a kitchen to cook our own meals but as the cottage is so centrally located it is also close to restaurants and takeaways. We particularly enjoyed the curries at Cinnamon. The cottage is a calm and relaxing space, just what we needed for a weekend of studying at the university. I highly recommend Weavers Cottage and hope to be back. Thankyou again to Kay and Arabella.

This is Oscar, who has at least four homes and a loving owner on Stryd yr Undeb. He made himself one of those "thoughtful touches" on the scorecard. Hwyl!

Beautiful stone and slate cottage on our 30 acre Llwyncrwn farm with stunning views across the Carmarthenshire hills. Great central location for exploring West Wales; the stunning beaches and coastline of Cardigan Bay and the many castles and gardens. Dogs welcome (maximum of 2). Good WiFi connection.
We offer a fantastic rural escape. You are welcome to bring up to 2 dogs and enjoy walks around Llwyncrwn farm with it's ponds, woodlands, ancient hedgerows and beautiful views. Our 1 mile woodland walk takes in all these features and includes benches were you can sit and enjoy beautiful views across the Carmarthenshire hills. The cottage is stylishly furnished, with modern facilities and a fully equipped kitchen. Logs for the wood burning stove are included.
West Wales is a very special place; beautiful rolling hills, unspoiled countryside and fantastic views where ever you go. With two coast lines just over half an hour from the cottage there are plenty of beaches and cliff top walks to explore. Historic castles abound and all command dramatic views across the hills. The National Botanic Gardens of Wales and the historic Aberglasny gardens are within easy reach.
  • If you are looking for a beautiful and comfortable cottage in equally beautiful surroundings this is the place for you. The cottage is really well equipped and warm in the winter. It's set on a farm with walks on the doorstep or have a relaxing evening in front of the log burner. There is so much to see in this area and Mark, who is a great and welcoming host, is on hand for advice.

    Martina2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • It’s was lovely location and we enjoyed the cottage and the walks. The fresh eggs and cake were delicious - thank you again - and Mark was very helpful and welcoming. Our son loved the animals and had great fun feeding the chickens with Mark.

    Pratap2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage and location are stunning. Mark is an attentive host and the thoughtful fresh eggs and cake left to welcome us a most welcome treat. We will definitely return and recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to explore this part of Wales

    Tom2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • I was very pleasantly surprised to have my expectations to the cottage exceeded. The cottage and location are everything that you could ask for when looking for a rural retreat and Mark has such fantastic attention to detail to ensure the stay is as comfortable as possible. The warm welcome continued throughout the stay and my dogs and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Standing Stone. Many thanks for the lovely cake and fresh eggs and for being a truly amazing host.

    Emma2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding cottage, with every mod con, for much less than you would expect to pay. Friendly host, nothing is too much trouble, and he cooks! The farm is so peaceful, with its own woodland walk, including sun drenched benches by the pond. Plenty to do in the surrounding area, or spend time in the cottage, in front of the roaring log stove, or out in the private cottage garden.

    Annabel2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay at standing stone cottage. It's in a lovely setting. A lot of effort has been put into making the cottage and the surrounding farm a great place to stay. Lovely to receive a yummy cake on arrival and lucky to get some fresh eggs from the chickens. Our 2 Yr old loved the animals. The farm is very rural, be prepared for driving up and down lots of hills, it's a great location to visit the surrounding countryside and beautiful coast line. Keep doing what you do I wouldn't change a thing!! Thankyou again for a great week.

    Matthew2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • very friendly and helpful host. Great cottage in a beautiful setting and close enough to explore Cardiganshire

    Leslie2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a place! So much fun to be had and relaxing at the same time. The location is out of this world, peaceful and idyllic. Easy to get to coastal towns or stay in the countryside. The cottage itself has everything you need and is a real home away from home. The farm is stunning to walk/cycle around even for children. Marks hospitality is second to none from check in to check out and I agree with everyone else....the cake mmmm mmmm Thank you Mark for a fantastic time.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, nestled in the Teifi Valley with a lovely walk along the river Teifi on the doorstep.
  • Meet the extra mile hosts! I think I run out of "feedback stars". They are the most welcome and generous hosts I have never met. Nothing is too much for them, they will look into all your needs to make sure you have a extraordinary and enjoyable stay at their place. This also included travelling with my house cat and making sure my cat was also comfortable and happy. Their place is allocated in a very beautiful natural setting yet, not too far from other towns to do any shopping or enjoy a coffe. It is a good place for exploring the West of Wales or choosing to stay and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of their location. Their property is very special shared with other beautiful and friendly 3 cats and few gentle and loving chickens. The house is lovely, modern and very tasfully decorated. It is also kept very tidy and clean with an eco friendly mind set. As well as your room, you have the sun room with the lovely views to their garden and amusing chickens if you feel you would like to relax having a cuppa by yourself. The Blue Room with beautiful views indeed, offered more that what I expected. Very spacious and very beautifully decorated. It has a TV and the bed is super comfortable

Fantastic place, really cosy and has everything you need. The little extras really make a difference. I particularly love the fact everything is eco friendly, too. Large flat with carpark located at the centre of local amenities.
Llandysul is a peaceful town but retains all of the local services and shopping which most of rural Wales has lost. Ceredigion enjoys the lowest crime rates in the UK and the Welsh language continues to be spoken by most the population.
  • Lovely place, peaceful and cozy. Just what we was looking for with a lovely host.

  • Very spacious flat in a good location. We asked with very short notice to stay here and were greeted shortly after and shown aroung the flat :) Very friendly host with local tips. Would highly recommend, thanks again for the stay!

    Rebecca2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is very spacious. We paid £123 for two nights and wasn’t quite the standard that we have been used to from air bnb. I got the feeling that it was work in progress with no frills. The single bed is a camp bed. There wasn’t a smoke detector and exit from the 2nd floor would be a challenge in the event of a fire. The property details do state no heating and there isn’t ! A a fan above the fire in the longe doesn’t give enough heat to warm the open plan lounge. Upstairs felt damp and was a bit cold. I’m sure that some of my comments will be rectified in which case :- Would we stay there again - yes but not in colder months

Walks along country lanes to unwind and relax straight from the doorstep. Price is per guest
My cosy stone cottage has a woodburner but also electric heating for those who are unsure. • We had such a lovely time at Nicola’s place! The cottage was so lovely and cosy! Nicola had the fire going for our arrival so it was nice and warm. She was so helpful with loads of knowledge on local things to do and gave us fab recommendations for events going on. Nicola is so friendly and approachable and was there straight away if we needed anything! The cottage was completely renovated by herself and had loads of nice little touches to make it so homely. Honestly I was blown away by her skills in carpentry! We love sight seeing and we managed to see so much in one day! We went to llansteffan castle first which had a gorgeous beach and stunning views from the castle. We stopped for tea in a little cafe and sat outside soaking in the sun. We then went to tally abbey and were awestruck by the magnitude of the ruins. From there we went to dryslwyn castle and Payton’s tower which again gave us the opportunity to take in the stunning views of the countryside. We then had a quick stop off in camarthen town to see the castle and have a quick nose about the shops before heading back to the cottage for a lovely cosy night in front of the fire. Overall we had such a fabulous time! We will definitely be returning to complete our tour of historical sites that we didn’t manage to do on the Sunday due to the storm. Which is fab as it gives us the opportunity to stay with Nicola in her beautiful cottage again and get to play with her stunning dogs!

Set in the Beautiful Welsh Country- side 20 mins from the Ceredigion Coast.Great for lovely walks, fishing, horseriding, canoeing and cycling. Or chill and relax in front of a log fire in a peaceful quiet retreat off the beaten track perfect for two ☺
Very quiet location off the main road set up a small track . Beautiful scenery and views of Llanllwni mountain in the distance. A perfect retreat to avoid the crowds and destress from modern day life and re-energise the batteries. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen, spacious bedroom, and cosy relaxing open plan living space with a logburner. Linen and towels are provided too. There is a sunny decking area, perfect for outdoor dining, barbecuing, and chilling with a glass of vino. Later enjoy star gazing or watching the red kites fly overhead, as we are lucky enough to have fab star lit skies
Brynifor is set alongside a bridal path and very close to the River Teifi. It is also within walking distance to the local village community run shop in Capel Dewi if you need to pick up a few supplies, where there is a working Woolen Mill and pretty church. Our location is an ideal base for exploring south, west and mid Wales. Brynifor is within half an hour's drive from the Cardigan Bay coastline with its sandy beaches and spectacular scenery and is also one of the best places in the UK to see dolphins, seals and porpoises. Boat trips are available from Newquay to get an even closer look! Besides the coastline there are numerous things to do. You can canoe along the Teifi River through Cilgerran Gorge – the home of otters and kingfishers. Or visit an Iron Age settlement (featured on a BBC Production) Castell Henllys. There’s horse riding on Llanllwni mountain, fishing, Oakwood theme park, Go Karts, Folly Farm, a butterfly farm, steam railways, Castles and Museums – the list is endless! The National Woollen Museum and the National Botanical garden are not far. The cottage has lots and lots of tourist attraction leaflets and maps of the surrounding area to help you choose your days out. And for anyone just wanting some quiet relaxing time there are starry night skies, Cludeo, jigsaws, and quite a few books.

  • Such a cosy, quiet, peaceful place for a relaxing retreat. We spent a lovely couple of days exploring the coasts and forests by day, and snuggling up by the log fire in the evenings. Jackie and Dave were very attentive hosts, offering plenty of helpful tips and answering our questions quickly and efficiently. We spent a very enjoyable afternoon with Jackie in her pottery studio learning to throw, which was a fantastic bonus.

Red Kite Cottage is a small traditional farm house thought to date back to the late 18th century. It has recently been renovated with a new kitchen and modern facilities but maintaining traditional features such as exposed beams, terracotta floor tiles and a woodburning stove. (If this cottage is not available for the dates that you require we have another property on the same site, feel free to try this one if you like -https://www.airbnb.co.uk/25838043)
Our new kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, full sized cooker (4 hobs), microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and most common utensils. (There is no clothes washing machine in the cottage). A new TV with built in DVD player is provided. Wifi is available and free (please note that because of the rural location, broadband speed is not super fast, it's fine for web browsing, social media, emails etc but may not be sufficient for video streaming etc. Mobile signal can also be patchy, but is much improved by connecting through the internet. Bedroom 1 can be set as twin beds or one super king size. Bedroom 2 can be set up as twin beds or one king size. Just let us know in advance how you would like the beds configured. There is a travel cot available if required (please request in advance). Please note the shower room does not contain a bath. A BBQ is also available.
The cottage is located in a rural farming area adjacent to a quiet country road. The road is used lightly by some local traffic but mainly tractors. So please be aware that there may be a little road noise.

  • We were looking for a short notice place to stay, at a reasonable price, to save us camping in the rain and this cottage came up! It’s in a very quiet spot of South Wales which did mean some travelling but we went to 2 different beaches, Narberth and Blue Lagoon In 4 days, so made the most of what the weather gave us! The cottage was great, very clean and with all the amenities we needed. We also got to meet the horses!

  • A beautiful oasis of tranquility not to be missed if you're looking for a peaceful get-away in a natural setting. Andy met us with a lovely introduction. The bungalow was charming with some really pretty touches. The lake, river and woods were just a minutes away. It was so quiet and relaxing! You can light open fires in the small seating area or by the lake. Bring supplies as the nearest shop isn't great. There's a fantastic organic farm shop about 30 minutes away in Lampeter, which also has an award winning chipper. The beach was thirty minutes away too but we just drove past as it was packed on the bank holiday weekend. We would definitely come back in Autumn and Winter!

    Claire2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location in the depths of Wales. We received a warm welcome from Eeva and met by a friendly cat who seemed to want to share the cottage with us when we first arrived. We both thoroughly enjoyed watching the birds and especially the woodpecker feasting on the nuts from the window overlooking the valley. We look forward to coming to stay again.

Spacious and comfortable, this mid-terrace cottage has a pretty south-facing garden, a wood-burning stove, and both shower and bath. There are two bedrooms, with a double bed in each, and there is a double sofa-bed in the large open plan living room/ kitchen. Your host lives next door and is happy to help, but you will help yourself to keys from a key safe and your privacy and comfort is the first priority.
The ground floor open-plan kitchen/living room is at the back of the house and opens onto a pathway with a patio and a pretty walled garden beyond. This is a very pleasant spot and a south-facing sun-trap. Your next-door neighbours on the terrace have right of way along the pathway outside the door. The house is quirky in that it was built on six staggered levels connected by short staircases! The first of these leads up from the fully-equipped kitchen to a small room containing a washing machine, sink and W.C. There is also a complete bathroom containing both a bath and large shower. All the sleeping areas are at the back of the house, overlooking the garden and away from the main road. Y Fedwen (pronounced 'uh ved-when') is Welsh for 'birch tree.' The house welcomes individuals, small groups and families (though there are no included features specifically for infants and toddlers). The garden includes a large patio, a table and chairs, and a barbecue. There are two dedicated parking spaces at the bottom of the garden and further parking is always available (and free) on the road adjacent (Station Road; B4310). Smoking is permitted in the garden. Fun and noise is expected, but only between the hours of 11am and 11pm, for the health and well-being of your neighbours (and possibly yours!).
The Tywi Valley in which we are situated is beautiful and full of interesting places to visit - castles, gardens, historic houses and museums. Beaches are not far beyond Carmarthen and The Brecon Beacons National Park is not far beyond Llandeilo in the opposite direction. The area offers numerous outdoor activities, not least the famous mountain bike trails (about 6 miles north at Brechfa and Abergorlech). There are 2 pubs within easy walking distance (1 mile). The nearest shop and petrol station is at White Mill, about 2 miles away on the A40 towards Carmarthen, which is 5 miles away. There is also a community shop and post office at Dryslwyn, which is about 5 miles in the other direction on the A40 towards Llandeilo.
  • A lovely homely little house. Clean, comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches and a wonderful wood burning stove. We did not meet Alice but she was easy to communicate with and responded promptly to messages. Great location too - with easy access to wonderful places. Many thanks.

  • Lovely cosy cottage, comfortable beds, a perfect place to unwind with the bonus of being well positioned for visiting the area.Just 10 minutes from Carmarthen. Highly recommended.

    Melissa2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We needed somewhere close to Carmarthen for my father's birthday the week end before christmas so we looked at hotels first. They were all really expensive so we looked at Airbnb for the first time and found this wonderful place. It's not too far out of Carmarthen and is an unique house on several floors. It feels homely and cosy and has all the facilities you need but still retains the quirky old house feel. I had to do battle with the coal fire to get it to work (not sure I entirely cracked it) but that was great fun. I would probably have had more success if I had read the extensive instructions that were provided. The property was absolutely spotless and had several nice touches such as milk in the fridge, tea and coffee provided as well as many others. This was an ideal place to stay for the weekend and would also be suitable for a longer stay.

    Sally2019-12-22T00:00:00Z

  • We stayed for two nights and Alice made us very welcome. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and more, including extra touches with flowers in the rooms. Beds were comfy and having two toilets handy at times. The weather was great for October but cooled in th evening and Alice kindly lit a fire for us to return to a cosy home. We enjoyed adding logs both evenings. Our trip to St David's was super and we went on a coastal walk from St Justinian which was stunning. An unexpected highlight was seeing baby seals basking in the sun on the rocks whilst watching what seemed like their parents playing in the water. There are many places of interest to visit in the area. I wish we could have stayed longer and would recommend a stay at Alice's place.

But, not sure if I could sleep on the floor for more nights. Ross is a very friendly and helpful host. I would really recommend this little pad for a get away from the noisy cities or as a romantic weekend away.

Rain or shine it is a lovely place to stay

  • An absolutely beautiful, stylish, self-contained double room, with huge en-suite and coffee/tea/breakfast area - WiFi is amazing too. Location was absolutely perfect for me, and if you're looking for a relaxing 'get away from it all' break I think you'll be hard pressed to find anywhere better. Caroline and Kit are the perfect hosts, relaxed and friendly. All in all, a perfect few days!

  • Booked as a gift for my mum, she really enjoyed her stay and the host was very friendly!

  • Caroline was very welcoming & friendly to me & my dog. The room was comfortable, spacious & private with lots of thoughtful touches. I immediately felt relaxed & at home. I only wish I had had the time to explore the beautiful wooded surroundings more. Outstanding value

charming private room in a cosy three bedroom terrace house.
  • As well as having a great eye for interior design, Lauren is an excellent host and conversationalist. The space is everything the photos make it out to be, and Betty the cat adds good value too!

    Daniel2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean place at a great location. Self check in made the stay very convenient. Lauren was very nice with very quick responses to my messages.

  • Had a great stay at Lauren's place and highly recommend to everyone!

    Tim2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time I’ve stayed at Lauren’s place and it was just as good as I remembered. Lauren is just incredibly easy to be around, and encourages you to make yourself at home. A totally stress free and relaxing place to stay.

    Kitty2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren’s home is more like an art gallery. She is a wonderful very friendly host. Even on the first night we chatted away, you would think that we had known each other for ages. I would surely be back when next in Carmarthen.

    Kola2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • The most gorgeous house with the most gorgeous host. Lauren is wonderful, and I can’t recommend her AirBnB enough. I stayed for a month and didn’t want to leave - super cosy and friendly. Betty is also a dream!

Preseli View is lovely one bedroomed self catering accommodation in a rural farming area. It is on the ground floor and has easy access. There is off road parking for two guests cars (cars can be secured behind locked gates if required?). The path that leads up to the entrance is sloping but has no steps. Please contact the owners if you require further details re. ease of access. The new kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge (with freezer compartment), full sized cooker with 4 hobs, microwave, toaster, kettle and most commonly used utensils. There are no clothes washing facilities. There is a large wet room with electric shower, please note that there is no bath available. We are happy to set the bedroom up as either twin beds or one super king size. Please let us know in advance what configuration you would prefer. • Lovely simple space, with all the essentials. Comfortable, with a lovely view and peaceful surroundings.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Liz and Mark's, the little cottage is very practical and well situated. The countryside is amazing. The cottage was very clean and our two year old was very safe and quite happy with the huge shower. The weather turned abruptly cold while we were there, I would advise anyone coming in the winter to bring their slippers with them! We would definitely recommend staying there.

    Molly2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great accommodation, lovely hosts. We were fortunate enough to meet both hosts but they also gave us privacy. Gorgeous setup, stunning views. We would definitely return. Long weekend of relaxation.

  • Perfect location, sparkling clean and great communication. We enjoyed it so much. We recharged our spiritual batteries in this mini getaway and all this thanks to Liz's place. We truly recommend it!! Thank you Liz and hope to see you again!! ❤️

  • The cosy relaxing retreat I didn’t know I needed. Liz and Mark’s place is in a quiet location in the rural Welsh countryside. There is no noise, no city buzz. Just us, our own little bubble. The accommodation is light, airy and clean. There is off road parking available - and you’ll need a car. Liz and Mark are fantastic hosts. Before our stay they provided directions, and guides on what to do. I wanted to visit Dylan Thomas’s Boat house, and Liz provided me directions. Mark also waited for us to greet us and show us around the accommodation. We also must have stayed on a good weekend, because Liz gave us cake! We were also there for a birthday, and Liz & Mark left us birthday banners. I enjoyed my stay, and hope to visit again sometime!

Our cosy little thatched croglofft cottage in West Wales was formerly a small milking parlour and dairy. The barn has been lovingly converted into cosy, eco friendly accommodation with underfloor heating and a log stove.
Tucked away along a private track, Croglofft Cottage has been lovingly converted with environmentally friendly, natural materials. The traditional Welsh slate floor has luxurious underfloor heating fired by a low carbon log boiler. There is also a log burner in the cottage.
We're in the heart of the Teifi Valley...people love to come here to get away from it all and go walking, fishing, cycling, canoeing and visit the gorgeous beaches of Cardigan Bay. Llandysul Paddlers Canoe Club is close by and other outdoor activity organisations. There are footpaths and cycle routes. We can recommend local pubs, restaurants and cafes. Llandysul is a centre for fishing.

  • Warm home, warm welcome. The small touches; loaf of bread, butter, milk and eggs (cookies and wine) made us feel very welcome at this property. Suited our needs very well, peace and quiet and not too far to travel. Janie's is worth seeking out, we were made to feel very welcome in this part of West Wales.

Set in the Tywi Valley, convenient for fisherfolk and exploring the beauties of South West Wales. The house is fairly basic but should have everything neccesary and has a certain charm. Breakfast is available and other meals too if wanted. It is on a bus route and parking is available also. The bungalow is not homes and gardens but it is quite sweet and I think has the necessities for a comfortable stay. A recent guest has left a very bad review. Please do read other reviews.
I will leave basics in the fridge for your arrival, it is grim to arrive and find nothing! Bread, milk, butter, there are some bits and pieces in the cupboards too, mostly left by previous guests, spices, salt and so on. The heating is run on gas and is on a timing schedule. It is set to keep the temperature at 19 degrees for when you wake and in the evening, in general people who stay are out during the day and it means they don't have to worry about switiching it on and off as they go in and out. If you are a hot house person,we all have different comfort levels, let me know, for a small surcharge I will take it off the schedule and you can have the run of the thermostat. If you would like to have breakfast cooked for you, a good Welsh breakfast, let me know (we live over the road), if you want to try laverbread, ditto, there is a charge of £5.00 per person, but I can't provide it on Sundays. I can also provide meals if you don't feel like cooking. I can either drop something homemade over to you or you can come and eat with us. The charge depends either upon what we are having or what you would like delivered. I have been cooking for parties and freezers for many years. I like cooking mediterranean and middle eastern food, we lived in Turkey for a while. I can do Indian and Chinese also (Ken Hom style!).
The valley is very beautiful, the excessive(!) rainfall does have the silver lining of providing us with wonderfully lush and verdant countryside. The little lanes are beautiful to drive around, full of wild flowers. From here we can see the Black Mountains, the edge of the Brecon Beacons and the Fan (pronounced Van), a sharp escarpment, often white in Winter. At the foot of the Fan lies a lake, from here comes the story of the lady of the lake and the physicians of Myddfai. Wales is a country where myth, legend and history are entwined.
  • Lovely little place and great host Highly recommended

  • Our second stay here. Bedrooms are so comfy and to have a warm home to ourselves for this price is outstanding.

  • Many thanks, we enjoyed our stay in your lovely bungalow.

    Richard2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very well placed for exploring mid-Wales. The cottage has comfy beds and was warm and cozy. Frances is a very helpful host. On arrival she had brought bread, milk and eggs which was a lovely touch and previous guests had left lots of sauces and spices in the cupboards. Nearby Carmarthen has all the shops you might need. When we stayed the TV picked up all the BBC channels. Incredibly good value. We will return.

    Victoria2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Frances was very easy to work with and communicate with. Always friendly and even brought over sweets like ginger cake. As students staying in Wales for clinical rotations at Glangwili this place was perfectly located. It had everything we needed: two individual bedrooms, working shower with hot water, washing machine, wifi, etc. The water pressure in the shower was lower than what we are used to, but it was not a problem. Only issue that kept cropping up was the stove/oven would stop working. However, Frances was always quick to come over and work on it to fix it. Overall, would recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in Carmarthen for a nice, low price.

    Aaron2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely week at this cottage - pleasantly surprised at how modern the amenities were - we've had great communication with Frances and it was lovely that she had put milk butter etc in the fridge ready for our arrival - we took camping chairs and table and were able to sit out on an evening - the road is a bit noisy - just don't put ur light sleepers in the front bedroom it's been great we loved it and would definitely go back if we visit Wales again xx

  • Many thanks, we enjoyed our stay again.

  • Frances is a very thoughtful host - she brought us milk, bread and free range eggs when she met us when we arrived, and was very kind and helpful. The house is really nicely set-up. Quite traditional, which we loved! The surrounding countryside is beautiful. Although the house is on the main road, we didn't find it to be noisy. Thank you very much indeed!
