We had such a lovely time at Nicola’s place! The cottage was so lovely and cosy! Nicola had the fire going for our arrival so it was nice and warm. She was so helpful with loads of knowledge on local things to do and gave us fab recommendations for events going on. Nicola is so friendly and approachable and was there straight away if we needed anything! The cottage was completely renovated by herself and had loads of nice little touches to make it so homely. Honestly I was blown away by her skills in carpentry! We love sight seeing and we managed to see so much in one day! We went to llansteffan castle first which had a gorgeous beach and stunning views from the castle. We stopped for tea in a little cafe and sat outside soaking in the sun. We then went to tally abbey and were awestruck by the magnitude of the ruins. From there we went to dryslwyn castle and Payton’s tower which again gave us the opportunity to take in the stunning views of the countryside. We then had a quick stop off in camarthen town to see the castle and have a quick nose about the shops before heading back to the cottage for a lovely cosy night in front of the fire. Overall we had such a fabulous time! We will definitely be returning to complete our tour of historical sites that we didn’t manage to do on the Sunday due to the storm. Which is fab as it gives us the opportunity to stay with Nicola in her beautiful cottage again and get to play with her stunning dogs!

Beautiful peaceful cottage

The strawbale house is an amazing building it has so much character inside and out. Its relaxing and perfect for a quiet break. The bed is now super comftable i had the best nights sleep i have had in ages. The house has most things you could need. Ross is helpful and there when needed. I think this for most is a must stay!

Amazing eco roundhouse, very inspiring and calming space. New mattress and wooden crafted bed was lovely to sleep on for the two nights, will definitely be booking again for a longer stay. 5*!

Very nice relaxing stay

The location is quite and nice! Very cosy wood fire. The bed is not very comfortable. Is a sofa bed. We moved the mattress to the floor, which was ok for two days. But, not sure if I could sleep on the floor for more nights. Ross is a very friendly and helpful host. I would really recommend this little pad for a get away from the noisy cities or as a romantic weekend away.

The cottage is very cosy, has a lovely garden and is surrounded by natural scenery/ woods. It felt so nice to wake up to the birds chirping. Had a wonderful time thanks to both, Chris & Jacqueline who took care of even the little things which made our stay extra comfortable. It was easy to drive to most of the sightseeing spots and there were lots of options and good food places too.

Absolutely fabulous! Wonderful cosy beautiful and immaculate house. Lovely touches like snuggly throws and lovely food left for breakfast. We are vegan and he went to the trouble to provide us with a brilliant vegan breakfast. We will definitely be back! We cannot reccomend this highly enough!

This is one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Carwyn is so nice and goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need. The house was great, really nice kitchen and thoughtful touches. Really just the nicest people you’ll ever meet with a great listing. Definitely would stay here again.

Jackie is a warm and welcoming host. The Annex is pure luxury and will exceed all your expectations. We only had a very short stay so we did not explore the area but, from the brief glimpse we had I have no doubt that it is fantastic

Gracious Host, this was beautiful, cleanest and loveliest rooms. House is very detailed decorated. Jackie made it easy for us that it feels like home. Also the breakfast was delicious and more than enough quality. For family upto 4 peoples it is highly recommend.

A wonderful place to stay for a quiet weekend exploring the area. Sparkling clean, comfy beds, excellent shower, and everything you could possibly need to cook meals, wash clothes, and socialise. An extra special touch were all the items in the kitchen for breakfast, and in the bathroom just in case you forget your toothpaste! Jackie was a friendly, warm host who provided excellent communication. The check-in was smooth, we felt like nothing was too much trouble, and we had a great weekend.

The annexe is a great place to stay. It has a well equipped kitchen (microwave, sink, fridge, washing machine and dryer). The bed is extremely comfy and the walk in shower/ wet room was brilliant. There is a table and chair set inside and out so you can make the most of the fresh air. Victoria’s place is an ideal place to stay if you are visiting relatives in Glangwili - only 5 minutes away in the car. Carmarthen centre also only 5 minutes away. Be sure to visit Dexter’s bar and grill. Their steaks are mouthwatering. It has recently been renovated and reopened and the staff are extremely friendly. All in all this is a great place to stay - highly recommended.

Expect exceptioal hosting, fabulous accomadation and brilliant views! Lots to see and do within 30 mins drive and lovely pub just down the hill.

We were looking for a short notice place to stay, at a reasonable price, to save us camping in the rain and this cottage came up! It’s in a very quiet spot of South Wales which did mean some travelling but we went to 2 different beaches, Narberth and Blue Lagoon In 4 days, so made the most of what the weather gave us! The cottage was great, very clean and with all the amenities we needed. We also got to meet the horses!

We had a great new years at Rosie and Dominic's property in Brechfa. They were welcoming and accommodating. The property was comfortable and modern, and the scenery and nearby walks (maps provided for easy navigation) were very enjoyable. We would definitely recommend to others!

Tucked away, up winding roads next to the forest this converted barn is a real escape from everyday life and we had a couple of lovely quiet days away

There are great cooking facility at the premises but with the local pubs nearby, why not!! Parking is sufficient and Sophie and house pet is eveer so friendly. So are the neighobour's cattle.

Rosie and Dominic were incredibly kind and attentive when we stayed. They kindly accommodated our dog and let us stay an extra day. The barn is perfect - everything has been thought of, there was even fresh bread and jam and butter provided for us (delicious). The space in the barn is wonderful, there are lots of games and everything is modern and clean. The shower is fab! And the warm room is perfect for drying things off. There are some really beautiful walks nearby. We loved our stay so much and we would definitely stay again. Thanks so much guys!

Rosie and Dominic made us feel very welcome. We were on a mountain biking trip to the trails at Brechfa and the accommodation was ideally placed, just a ten minute drive to the trail head. I loved the clean and stylish finish to the barn accommodation and the addition of an effective drying room is very useful to mountain bikers coming off the trails. Quiet, clean, warm and stylish - thats all the boxes ticked for me...

The barn is fantastic and had everything we needed. It was warm, very comfortable, great shower, wifi, washing machine, etc. The location is stunning - beautiful views and access to some great cycling. We explored the area well over the weekend and were blown away by the variety of cycling and quiet roads. Rosie and Dominic looked after us well and made us feel very at home. We'll definitely be back!

Nice and quiet location.

We (party of 3 adults) stayed at this fabulous cottage for 3 nights. It was squeaky clean and extremely well equipped, you literally don’t need to bring anything with you. It was the perfect base for travelling around South Wales, The Pembrokeshire Coast, Tenby, The Mumbles, The Brecon Beacons and many more. Beverley and Jason were indeed ‘super hosts’ they gave us loads of great advice and ideas of where to go and where to avoid, good places to eat and the best beaches in the area. 100% recommend this place to stay, just wished we could’ve stayed longer than our 3 nights. There’s so much to see and do in this part of the country, you could easily stay here for a week and still not get to see everything. Stay here once and you will definitely want to come back.

House is in a beautiful rural location with the stunning welsh countryside on the doorstep. It is perfect as a base to explore this part of Wales, as nothing is too far and here are local walks and nature around the house. We found it very clean and well catered, not wanting for anything. Booking and communication was great and the kids enjoyed the stay - wanting to come back in the summer to play in the garden. Highly recommend

Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a break away, very peaceful, nice and secluded with very comfy beds. We were able to check in at 1 (2 hours early) which was very appreciated. We met Beverley and her family later in the evening and they were so welcoming, couldn't have asked for better hosts, really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much to ask. Ideal spot to explore so much of Wales and the beautiful beaches. 10/10 recommend!

My partner and I were looking for an escape from our daily routine and The Nook provided the perfect location for this. We were able to explore South Wales with The Nook as a great base. As we were on a budget The Nook was idea, as we were able to cook our own meals and pack lunches for our daily adventures. Our holiday was about spending quality time together and Charaka respected our privacy and gave us space but was always on-hand, to answer any questions or give recommendations of places to visit in the area.

Lovely little Airbnb in the Welsh countryside but easy to get to Carmarthen and other towns near by. The accommodation was absolutely immaculate, and very good use of the space. Everything you needed was provided. Nice little outside area to sit and read or take in the country air. Charaka was a great host, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Just to note for other Airbnbers that there is NO signal for internet or phone.

Charaka was a great host with good hospitality. Enjoyed the conversations with Charaka about temples etc. No problem during check-in and out, easy to find (clear directions provided). The Nook is a small and cozy place for 2 as described with beautiful surroundings. Its very close to Skanda Vale (10 min) and close to Carmarthen (15 min) with access to supermarkets etc. Phone signals may be tricky - EE and 3 works. Will stay again for sure. Definitely recommend.

Charaka's home is ideal for people who wan't to disconnect a couple of days from daily stress. I strongly recommend her.

Charaka was very helpful and kind and made our stay as smooth as possible. The Nook was perfect for a weekend away and Charaka gave us lots of local tips and recommendations. Never have we had a better sleep :) the kitchen was perfect for what we needed and we were able to cook with ease. It is a small but purposefully planned space that was lovely, clean and warm.

If you are looking for a magical escape, look no further. The Lavvu is so comfortable and cosy, a great place to share with family or friends. Also the grounds are incredible, with views, woodlands and features that mesmerised us, staying here was nothing less than an adventure. You will get everything you want and more at larkhill, with wonderful facilities and hosts, there is nothing more to ask for.

Fran & Tony are such amazing hosts. My wife & I were impressed with their hospitality and warmth. The site is simply amazing, very nice re-treat in the woodlands. Within-reach by car to nearest towns like Carmarthen and is a perfect destination in itself and to explore south of wales. Highly recommended!

Fran is a wonderful host with great communication right from the booking. The location is beautiful making you feel connect with nature. It was our first experience, but the yurt was spacious and had its own outdoor space. The area is surrounded woodland and trails to explore.

Lovely space, you get the cosiness and comfort of the yurt as well as having the beautiful outdoors right on your doorstep. We enjoyed a beer round our own private campfire and toasted marshmallows on our little stove. Fran was a lovely host and gave us all the info we needed about the amenities and local area. 10/10, 5*s would recommend to anyone who fancies a little getaway :)

A must place to stay! Lovely grounds with a chilled out atmosphere. Woodland and walks to explore with quite a few tree stump carvings along the way. Also, Eco Toilets like I've never seen! :)

Really gorgeous cottage - even more beautiful than the photos. The woods are all of five steps away with a gorgeous river. We loved how comfortable the bed and sofas were and the log burning stove was heavenly. We would love to come back.

Matt and Martine's place is amazing! Isolated in the middle of a wonderful farm, next to a little stream and a river-gorge! Matt was very discreet and helpful and the cottage was sparkling clean. The only thing I would mention is that WiFi connection is a bit low and mobile phone hard to connect. Ideal if you wish to disconnect yourself, tricky if you wish to work from distance. Best wishes from all three of us.

Wow, this property was simply amazing. Martine and Matt are fabulous hosts, attentive but not intrusive at all. The area is beautiful and a great base to explore from, we found we spent a lot of time just relaxing at the retreat though as it is a wonderful space to enjoy and unwind in. Very highly recommended!

Hosts were very accommodating, we arrived really late and was still given a tour of the premises with advice on local areas. A great Escape from city life.

The cottage is lovely in a beautiful rural location. You feel like you really are in the country it was dark with no street lights and quiet, no traffic noise just the birds! We had a cheerful welcome by Nicola when we arrived. She took the time to show us everything we needed to know around the cottage. She had even thoughtfully put a pint of fresh milk in the fridge and Welsh cakes fur us. There was tea, coffee and sugar available too. The cottage was clean and very comfortable. Plenty of room for a family to stay. A good size bathroom with a bath and a good shower. It has been tastefully decorated throughout. Nicola answers any messages promptly and was very friendly and we even got a Christmas gift of a bottle of wine! A super lovely host and a beautiful cottage. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again. Thank you Nicola.

A very spacious converted home with amazing views and very close to Skanda Vale temple. We stayed with 3 families and everyone enjoyed the stay.

Steve and Linda have been fantastic hosts right from the beginning of booking to guiding us how to get there to answering our questions very promptly every time. Llwyncrychyddood Bunkhouse is a fantastic place and looks exactly like how it is in the pictures, it accommodates 15 people easily and comfortably. We thoroughly enjoyed the living space in the barn and the covered BBQ area outside. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the utensils you'd need for cooking for a very large group. The house is very well decorated and has very good touches, I personally loved the sky lights for natural lights in the bathrooms and living space in the mornings :) They have a lovely farm where we met the lovely dogs, fed the horses and enjoyed watching lil lambs run around. All in all I'd like to say that our bank holiday was very well spent here with Steve and Linda's hospitality and wouldn't hesitate to come back in future. This place is best for large groups to spend great time together and bond. Wishing Steve and Linda our best :)

Nice warm rooms. stay was really pleasant. the hosts were really good too, explaining and showing off the farm animals to the kids!!

We used Siramik as a start point for a cycle trip and received a warm welcome from Yoka and Bryan who were willing to help in any way they could. The accommodation is modern and located on a working farm which is very quiet and peaceful with great views over the valley. I would definitely recommend this place and will stay there again..

Yoka's place is excellent value, in an idyllic location. Plenty of peace and quiet. The room was clean, well presented, and Yoka is an excellent and friendly hostess.

A fabulous well equipped Cottage nestled in a sheltered valley with direct access In to Brecfa forest. A ideal location for a walking, biking or bring your horse on holiday, the later which we did. The stables, turnout paddocks and riding are excellent and the hosts could not have been more hospitable. We will definitely return! Lynn, Jen and Sandra

We had a lovely stay in this little cottage, nice real fire after a damp trip to the beach, secluded location and a friendly host. Would definitely recommend :)

This is a beautiful location for anyone wanting a few days 'away from it all', yet is only a short drive from Carmarthen with shops, cinema etc if needed. The cottage itself is very spacious, well-equipped, and tastefully decorated. All four of us commented on how comfortable the beds were! Julie is a lovely host, friendly and welcoming. The cakes and fresh farm eggs given to us on arrival were much appreciated, thank you.

A perfect location, on the edge of the forest, to get away from it all! Excellent mountain biking trails are nearby and Julie and Barry were very kind in letting us clean off and store our bikes after riding. The cottage was very well presented and had everything you would need for a relaxing time away. Julie and Barry couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, very much recommended.

It's a beautiful, clean, tidy and spacious house off the beaten path. There's a forest at the end of the garden on one side and farm walks with friendly animals you can say hello to if you like on the other. Hosts Julie and Barry are lovely and as helpful with ideas as you want them to be.

What a lovely cottage! A complete retreat (very rural!). Julie was really helpful with detailed directions, on hand as and when, and gave us a lovely welcome even though traffic meant we were almost 2 hours late! The cottage itself is great - very well equipped and large kitchen, comfortable lounge, nice garden and well sized bedrooms. Access is via a fairly rough track - we managed fine in a Ford Fiesta but I wouldn't come in a sports car. I hope we'll be back to this cottage, which is a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside and villages.

This was our first yurt experience and I must say it was amazing. Fran and Tony are such amazing hosts with great communication from the moment we booked. Our kids really enjoyed this experience and we will definitely repeat it! We left happy, refreshed, relaxed and ready to go back to school and work! Would recommend to anyone!

Really can't praise Larkhill enough! We had an amazing weekend and wish we could have stayed longer. A very cosy, relaxing and scenic place to get away from city life and enjoy the outdoors. The Yurt was lovely and warm, furnished beautifully and equipped with everything you need inside including cooking equipment, utensils and a basket of logs for the wood burner, which Fran kindly lit for us. There were even freshly laid eggs available in the morning! Outside is beautiful woodlands with lots of mystical carvings and fairy lights to light the pathways leading to the toilets, shower and lovely communal cabin. We enjoyed sitting round our campfire for hours. I could write a lot more about how wonderful this place is... We will definitely be returning soon and hopefully for a longer period of time!
