  • Great place ! Much bigger than I originally thought. Will definitely stay again!

  • A cute little annex/flat with everything you need for a retreat away. Biddy's artwork gives the place a unique feel and a lot of thought has gone into the set up. You have your own little garden area in which Biddy allowed me to have a fire, even kindly providing me with the firepit! Shops are short walk away if supplies are needed, amazing walks on your doorstep (just walk to the top of the hill and down a track on the left to get to the river!). I didn't try out the canoeing but definitely will next time! A lovely stay and great value

A double room in my comfortable, arty home. Cosy, light, cheerful and homely. House has views over the Teifi valley; close to Canoe club & all amenities; twenty-five minute drive to Heritage coast beaches; great for walkers, cyclists, & nature lovers. Free tea and coffee. Breakfast on request for small additional fee. Other single/double rooms also available on request for an extra fee. Shared kitchen, bathroom and sitting room with log fire. Lovely garden with sun deck and fire-pit. Free WiFi.
Mine is an interesting house which was originally a small school founded and run by Thomas's great uncle, William Marles. The house is large and airy, with newly decorated sitting room. Bay windows look out, over the garden, across the valley to the river Teifi, though you would never guess this from the street. The kitchen is large and has all amenities. The garden is private, sunny and bursting with life. There is a fire-pit for night time stargazing on the deck.
Llandysul is traditional small Welsh town, with a selection of shops, pubs, cafes and takeaways. It is well placed as a base for fabulous local walks and for exploring the beautiful Teifi Valley and the Heritage Coast with its many excellent beaches. As well as exciting activities such as canoeing (Llandysul Paddlers) and coasteering, there is plenty of rolling countryside to discover on foot or on wheels. There is a cycle network easily accessed from Llandysul and the Brechfa forest cycle trail is not far away. There is a Leisure centre with gym and sports hall and swimming pool just a short walk away.
  • Biddy is very welcoming and a great host. The inside and outside spaces are great and she has a powerful shower which warms up very quickly. The garden is a morning sun trap and is a great place to sit and enjoy one of her amazing coffees. I will definitely return in the future.

  • Lovely, warm and generous people; a cosy, arty house and a really comfy bed made Biddy's place a wonderfully welcoming and peaceful base for exploring the area. Wholeheartedly recommended. Thank you Biddy :-)

  • Meet the extra mile hosts! I think I run out of "feedback stars". They are the most welcome and generous hosts I have never met. Nothing is too much for them, they will look into all your needs to make sure you have a extraordinary and enjoyable stay at their place. This also included travelling with my house cat and making sure my cat was also comfortable and happy. Their place is allocated in a very beautiful natural setting yet, not too far from other towns to do any shopping or enjoy a coffe. It is a good place for exploring the West of Wales or choosing to stay and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of their location. Their property is very special shared with other beautiful and friendly 3 cats and few gentle and loving chickens. The house is lovely, modern and very tasfully decorated. It is also kept very tidy and clean with an eco friendly mind set. As well as your room, you have the sun room with the lovely views to their garden and amusing chickens if you feel you would like to relax having a cuppa by yourself. The Blue Room with beautiful views indeed, offered more that what I expected. Very spacious and very beautifully decorated. It has a TV and the bed is super comfortable

A lovely property on the edge of a small village with the best eatery for miles around that’s within walking distance. The village has a fantastic little shop that has something for everybody including vegans, champagne lovers and freshly made croissants and breads from 7am every day. Private drive and parking, access to private garden and fabulous views. It’s like a very decent hotel room without the hotel.
The house is on the edge of a charming little village of Penrhiwllan. We are 15 min from the coast and have the lovely Cenarth falls just 10 min down the road. Visitors enjoy our stunning country views and the spacious garden. The room is light, modern and clean with a fantastic, ensuite with walk in shower. There is a coffee machine and some snacks to enjoy. There is TV and wifi available
Penrhiwllan is a little village between Llandysul and Newcastle Emlyn. There is a well stocked village shop with a fantastic range of wines. The Daffodil is fantastic gastropub within the village which is open Wednesday-Sundays. We are 10 min from Cenarth where you can enjoy lovely walks, waterfalls, and river fishing. Cyclists can also enjoy fantastic cycle paths at the welsh wildlife centre, Cilgerran, Cardigan. We have wonderful beaches to explore such as Llangrannog, Tresaith (surfing beach), Penbryn, New Quay (boat rides and dolphin spotting), Aberaeron, Poppit sands and Gwbert. We also have a wool museum, honey farm, Caws Cenarth cheese makers, Glass, pottery and art galleries nearby.
  • We had a great stay at Anwen and Charlie’s place. It’s a nice private room at a great price, the coffee machine was a bonus too. We tried welsh cakes for the first time as they were provided in the Airbnb, we’re big fans of them now! Definitely recommend staying here.

    Tori2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place! Very clean, check in couldn’t be easier, and absolutely loved the thoughtful additions of coffee, milk, tea, cute little welshcakes, shampoo, conditioner etc that were left in the room. Anwen and Charlie obviously take immense pride in hosting which is very much appreciated. The Daffodil Inn close by is a must for dinner, the food is delicious! Thanks again for the lovely stay!

It's set on a farm with walks on the doorstep or have a relaxing evening in front of the log burner. There is so much to see in this area and Mark, who is a great and welcoming host, is on hand for advice.

  • I was very pleasantly surprised to have my expectations to the cottage exceeded. The cottage and location are everything that you could ask for when looking for a rural retreat and Mark has such fantastic attention to detail to ensure the stay is as comfortable as possible. The warm welcome continued throughout the stay and my dogs and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Standing Stone. Many thanks for the lovely cake and fresh eggs and for being a truly amazing host.

    Emma2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding cottage, with every mod con, for much less than you would expect to pay. Friendly host, nothing is too much trouble, and he cooks! The farm is so peaceful, with its own woodland walk, including sun drenched benches by the pond. Plenty to do in the surrounding area, or spend time in the cottage, in front of the roaring log stove, or out in the private cottage garden.

    Annabel2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay at standing stone cottage. It's in a lovely setting. A lot of effort has been put into making the cottage and the surrounding farm a great place to stay. Lovely to receive a yummy cake on arrival and lucky to get some fresh eggs from the chickens. Our 2 Yr old loved the animals. The farm is very rural, be prepared for driving up and down lots of hills, it's a great location to visit the surrounding countryside and beautiful coast line. Keep doing what you do I wouldn't change a thing!! Thankyou again for a great week.

    Matthew2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • very friendly and helpful host. Great cottage in a beautiful setting and close enough to explore Cardiganshire

    Leslie2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a place! So much fun to be had and relaxing at the same time. The location is out of this world, peaceful and idyllic. Easy to get to coastal towns or stay in the countryside. The cottage itself has everything you need and is a real home away from home. The farm is stunning to walk/cycle around even for children. Marks hospitality is second to none from check in to check out and I agree with everyone else....the cake mmmm mmmm Thank you Mark for a fantastic time.

  • Great location and very spacious room. Me and my girlfriend had a 2 night stay on out motorcycle trip around wales. We enjoyed a bbq around the fire pit next to the river that is a lovely setting. The hosts are very nice and accommodating, helped with tips on local places to visit. I would recommend.

  • Beautiful location! The Hay Loft was just what we were looking for, a dry private space to stay, no TV, with lovely outside space to play with our toddler. The little river and bridge were a firm fav for our boy too! Stephen and Sarah left us to it but while pottering around were happy to have a natter. Cant wait to come back.

  • Very nice place. More than our expectations.

This is a quiet peaceful escape in the country, great for couples looking for a break from the busy city life or anyone simply looking to slow down for a few days. Enjoy a large airy room with comfortable king size bed overlooking rolling hills. Retire to the beautiful garden for a snooze in the hammock or enjoy a cuppa coffee and a good book in the peaceful conservatory. Breakfast is provided, with freshly baked bread and country muffins.
Come take a break in this relaxing country escape. Whether you're looking for a chilled, quiet holiday or want a base to explore a variety of outdoor pursuits in the Welsh countryside, this place is for you. The bedroom is large and airy with a comfortable king size bed, lots of storage and a bay window looking out onto rolling hills and a beautiful garden. There are a lot of red kites in this part of Wales and the bedroom window is a great spot to view them from. Although not en-suit, you'll have a large, airy private bathroom with bath, shower and toilet all to yourself. There's also a separate toilet. These are situated on the ground floor, whereas the bedroom is on the first floor. If you're up for a relax, you'll also be able to retire to the beautiful garden for a snooze in the hammock or enjoy a cuppa coffee and a good book in the peaceful conservatory This space is shared with the owners. Breakfast is also included with freshly baked bread, home-baked muffins, filter coffee/tea, conserves and cereals.
We are situated in about the middle of our little quiet village, which boasts 2 restaurant/pubs and a small tea room and beautiful garden right next door (Norwood Gardens). There are plenty of lovely, peaceful walks in the area and the coast is only about 30min away by car. There is something to do for everyone, from cycling to hiking to swimming to coasteering to canoeing. But there is also plenty to do when the weather is a bit rainy. You could for example visit the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (find out more here: http://www.showcaves.co.uk/index.html), explore Aberglasney House and Gardens (http://aberglasney.org/), take a trip with the Gwili steam train (https://gwili-railway.co.uk/), visit Caws Cenarth Cheese (https://www.cawscenarth.co.uk/). And here is something for those with a sweet tooth: a visit to the Wickedly Welsh Chocolate Company (http://wickedlywelsh.co.uk/). You could also attend a painting workshop with Diane Mathias for example, a very talented landscape painter, or visit her studio nearby (https://www.dianemathias.co.uk/). Then there is the National Wool Museum to visit in Drefach Felindre. There are just so many wonderful things to do here, too many to mention. Let us know what you are interested in and we can point you in the right direction.
  • We had a very good time staying with Elke and Glen. They both are very friendly and helpful hosts. It is a pleasure to talk to them because they are well travelled and we had some great conversations. Additionally, they know the area very well and give you recommendations regarding the best places to visit. The surrounding is very peaceful. It is the perfect escape from the busy city life and also a good starting point to explore the beautiful nature. Furthermore, we really enjoyed the breakfast, especially the bread is fantastic. The room was quite big and lovely decorated. We really appreciated that we had our own bath room. Everything was very tidy and clean. We absolutely enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend it to everyone!

  • Glen and Elke were wonderfull hosts. From the first second we felt very welcomed and cared for. They have a very nice and cosy house and our room was very tidy und well-prepared. Also to emphasise is the breakfast which contained homemade bread and muffins which both were absolutely delicious. We absolutely recommend them as hosts even if it might come with a little detour.

  • Elke and Glen are wonderful hosts who made me feel very comfortable and welcomed in their home. The house is beautiful and spotless clean with a lovely conservatory and a garden looking out into the hills. Brynifor is set alongside a bridal path and very close to the River Teifi. Our location is an ideal base for exploring south, west and mid Wales. Brynifor is within half an hour's drive from the Cardigan Bay coastline with its sandy beaches and spectacular scenery and is also one of the best places in the UK to see dolphins, seals and porpoises. Boat trips are available from Newquay to get an even closer look! Besides the coastline there are numerous things to do. • Such a cosy, quiet, peaceful place for a relaxing retreat. We spent a lovely couple of days exploring the coasts and forests by day, and snuggling up by the log fire in the evenings. Jackie and Dave were very attentive hosts, offering plenty of helpful tips and answering our questions quickly and efficiently. We spent a very enjoyable afternoon with Jackie in her pottery studio learning to throw, which was a fantastic bonus.

A beautiful yurt nestled in a 2 acre field on our family farm, off the beaten track in the beautiful county of Carmarthenshire, West Wales. With 2000 acres of Llanllwni mountain to explore on your doorstep plus tonnes of local sights and activities. This Yurt is ideal for couples or individuals looking for a peaceful, comfortable and cosy getaway.
As a family, we at Blanca Trekking take great pleasure in enabling others to share what we are so privileged to enjoy on a daily basis. We would no way call this glamping but do take pride in providing a unique, simple yet comfortable accommodation to which our guests return time and time again. Our 'Cosy Cwtsh' Yurt sleeps 2. We had this little yurt hand made locally, with couples or individual adult guests in mind. With a comfortable king size mattress, carpet under foot and beautiful floor cushions, mats, blankets etc. Heated by a very efficient woodburner (logs provided). Lit by candles, lanterns and soft solar lighting; the night times listening to the fire roar whilst surrounded by beautiful, warm light is something special. The Yurt has its own separate kitchen equipped with everything you need, which includes a gas hob, a cool box, pots, pans, utensils etc. Water is brought up from the farm in containers. There is also space here to hang wet clothes, wellies etc. There is also a BBQ for you to use (charcoal not provided). Compost toilets are situated close enough for a midnight wander. On the farmyard, which is 2 fields away, you also have access to a shared kitchen and bathroom area. This kitchen is equipped with a sink, electric oven (and hobs), fridge, washing machine and plenty of utensils for you to use. There are also some plug sockets here for charging devices! The bathroom has (limited) hot water, with bathing facilities and a flushing toilet. (no shower)
Blanca Trekking is set in stunning countryside and yet lucky enough to be within easy reach of all areas of West Wales including beaches, castles, villages and market towns in which there are a variety of amenities and activities to explore and enjoy.
  • We saw stars through the yurt skylight. We were woken in the night by the loud T,woos of the male Tawney owls and the quieter female response T,wit in the trees nearby. The views were great. Location superb. There is gold in the ground and streams from the quartz veins all around. The kitchen utensils were so complete that we could have made as big a feast as the 2 burner gas stove and grill would have allowed. There is no WiFi or mains electricity that makes this a real get away luxury. You can choose bottled water or spring water. Incense in the yurt is included. There is a kitchen and bathroom with hot water and mains electricity in the hosts’ farm across two fields, if you need to find solace in the main stream. The horses are so well cared for that trekking would be a pleasure. The long lane and ford to the farm are very well maintained. There are nearby walks, pubs with food in all directions, Carmarthen with shopping centres and a Roman amphitheatre and the Welsh National Botanic gardens in less than 30 mins distance by car. We were there over Christmas which requires some winter camping skills, though our hosts, who stayed in the background, were always there for us and instantly met our needs when required. Dylan Thomas’s “A Visit to Grandpas” describes the bridge at Carmarthen and the estuary seaward from there.

  • Great stay, very cosy. Stayed in October, the fire in the Yurt kept us warm. There isn’t a shower, however there is a bath in the farm house and that does have a shower head connected to the taps which was useful. The shed next to the yurt has your basic cooking stuff with a little portable camping style cooker which was a nice touch. There is a oven and fridge in the main farm house. If you’re staying in the winter, take some torches as it was very dark in the shed, but with the candles and fairy lights in the yurt was very nice and cosy. Would recommend a visit here. Ruth the host had the fire on for us when we arrived which was nice. Have fun when you book.

  • What a fantastic weekend in the Yurt. Ruth and Dilwyn have a perfect set-up - ideal for couples looking for a peaceful weekend getaway. The Yurt is incredibly cosy and comfy, and was full of thoughtful touches. Will definitely be recommending it to friends and family, and no doubt be making a return soon. Diolch eto!

The Retreat is exactly that, a lovingly up-cycled, eco static caravan with the most stunning view, perched on the edge of the Teifi valley and surrounded by farmland. We welcome you to come and take a break away from the busy day to day of life and kick back with your favourite drink on the deck and soak up the view in the day and the stars at night.
We welcome you to our little Welsh bubble tucked away at the bottom of a track. Originally a working farm, it was neglected for some years and it is now our accommodation project which we are lovingly restoring with every available minute and penny! We are surrounded by working farms with no close neighbours so you can really get away from it all here in this tranquil spot. Recently rescued and up-cycled the Retreat is a quirky static caravan. It is our first eco project with solar power, a composting loo and a wood burner for heat and has a 60's/ 70's feel, large deck and stunning view. Nestled away in our 10 acres of land but still easily accessible (about 10m from our track) it has all you need for a comfortable stay in a beautiful setting. Ideal for couples or a small family, the main bedroom has a comfy double bed, the 2nd bedroom has two small single beds (a travel cot and highchair are available on request). There is a bathroom with bath/shower and compost toilet, a light and airy lounge with woodburning stove and DVD player. Lastly a well stocked kitchen with a gas oven and hob and a cool box for refrigeration. We also provide these essentials tea, coffee, 1pt milk, crumpets and our own eggs (when available). Perfect for nature lovers and people who enjoy staying in quirky places you are free to explore our wilderness and discover secret resting places in which to relax and unwind. Read a good book next to the bubbling stream, swing in a hammock or kick back on the deck whilst taking in the view across the valley and spot our wide range of resident wildlife from hedgehogs to buzzards and tawny owls.
Llanwenog is a small hamlet with a 13th Century church which is the most complete medieval church in Ceredigion. The Retreat is an excellent base to explore the many local attractions as well as providing a secluded oasis in which to hibernate. We are surrounded by farmland and beautiful views across the Teifi Valley, yet only 30 mins drive away from a selection of stunning beaches which cater for all needs from dolphin and seal spotting to rock pools and sand. There are many activities on offer too for all ages from walking, fishing and cycling to castles, farm experiences and theme parks!
  • Great little caravan! If you're after a little peace and quiet in rural wales then this is the perfect base! A tad chilly in the bedrooms at night as we did decide to brave it in march, but Helen and Steve provided a hot water bottle which was great! But the log burner in the living room soon warmed us up and was fantastic :)

    Charlotte2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cabin set in a superb rural area, we enjoyed the peace and quiet and the cosy fire. Unfortunately the weather was not so great and we couldn't spend so much time outside and fully enjoy the space. Would definitely return during the summer.

  • Lovely place in a beautiful area. We had an amazing stay.

    Hayley2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The retreat is a magical place. The view is amazing and one of the best sun rises I have seen. Helen was very friendly and welcoming and we had everything we needed. The bedroom does get quite cold in winter but the thick duvet and hot water bottles kept us warm enough at night, and with the fire lit in the sitting room it was very cosy.

    Gemma2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay in the countryside, Great place with great grounds to explore. Excellent as a base to explore the surrounding area. Helen was very friendly and welcoming. The 4 of us had a great weekend away!

  • What a wonderful and cozy place! Stunning views from the porch with a nice patch of grass for our 14 month old to roam around. About 30 minutes from beaches and we really enjoyed walking on the Ceredigion Coast Path.

    Matt2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • A real eco retreat from it all with stunning scenery, lovely hosts.

    Pauline2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The views from the property are even nicer than I expected and it felt like we were away from it all without being too secluded. The hosts were really friendly and responded quickly when we requested more ice for the cool box etc. The double bed was comfortable and we all slept well. The gas oven was easy to use, as was the wood burner, and there were enough utensils, pots, pans to cook a variety of meals. We had takeaway from Romino’s (cash only) one evening however which was really tasty and good value (it’s just a few mins drive away near the Nisa and Londis). It was nice to have a private gated area around the property which enabled our dog and children to have a wander/play safely. We had a walk across the field to the hammocks and stream one evening and again the views are great. We also visited a dog friendly beach at Llangrannog SA44 6SN which was small but beautiful. We all felt well rested and relaxed after our visit and we would return.

Large flat with carpark located at the centre of local amenities.
Llandysul is a peaceful town but retains all of the local services and shopping which most of rural Wales has lost. Ceredigion enjoys the lowest crime rates in the UK and the Welsh language continues to be spoken by most the population.

    Rebecca2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is very spacious. We paid £123 for two nights and wasn’t quite the standard that we have been used to from air bnb. I got the feeling that it was work in progress with no frills. The single bed is a camp bed. There wasn’t a smoke detector and exit from the 2nd floor would be a challenge in the event of a fire. The property details do state no heating and there isn’t ! A a fan above the fire in the longe doesn’t give enough heat to warm the open plan lounge. Upstairs felt damp and was a bit cold. I’m sure that some of my comments will be rectified in which case :- Would we stay there again - yes but not in colder months

  • A beautiful oasis of tranquility not to be missed if you're looking for a peaceful get-away in a natural setting. Andy met us with a lovely introduction. The bungalow was charming with some really pretty touches. The lake, river and woods were just a minutes away. It was so quiet and relaxing! You can light open fires in the small seating area or by the lake. Bring supplies as the nearest shop isn't great. There's a fantastic organic farm shop about 30 minutes away in Lampeter, which also has an award winning chipper. The beach was thirty minutes away too but we just drove past as it was packed on the bank holiday weekend. We would definitely come back in Autumn and Winter!

    Claire2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location in the depths of Wales. We received a warm welcome from Eeva and met by a friendly cat who seemed to want to share the cottage with us when we first arrived. We both thoroughly enjoyed watching the birds and especially the woodpecker feasting on the nuts from the window overlooking the valley. We look forward to coming to stay again.

The cottage is modest with a wood burner making it cozy.As well as a double bed, there is a sofa bed, which is 4ft. Gwyddgrug is centrally situated in Wales and is very accessible to all of the country. We have famous cycle trails close by, Brechfa Forest. There is Kayaking in Llandysul and beautiful beaches everywhere. Upon request stabling for up to 2 horses. This is extra. If needed I can supply food for you to prepare for your breakfast at a little extra. Let me know. Thank you, Naomi.

Lovely little detached bolthole in the countryside with private indoor hot tub, but close to the beautiful Cardigan Bay Coastal Path, sandy beaches and the villages of Aberaeron and New Quay where the bottlenose dolphins can be seen. The University Town of Lampeter is approximately 4 miles away with shops and restaurants. Ideal place to chill out relax and unwind from everyday life. This cottage is one of Welshholidays 4U Cottages with private indoor hot tubs in West Wales. NO DOGS ALLOWED
Private detached cottage with private indoor hot tub Quirky little 1 bedroom cottage with garden and private unlimited use indoor hot tub for you to enjoy during your stay. Please note before booking: This is an old cottage set in the countryside, but only a short drive to the beautiful Cardigan Bay Coast where the famous bottle nose dolphins can often be seen. The cottage does has bumpy walls, a low ceiling in the lounge and is far from perfect and has old features still present, you might also come across the odd spider, cobweb and countryside smells as it is in the countryside, but that doesn't mean it is not clean or unhygienic, its part of the character of the cottage and the area it is in. We never claim it to be a 5* property, but we can say it is a lovely cosy cottage. If you are looking for a perfect newly modernised property with nothing out of place and garden that has no character then this one might not be for you. You have full private use of the cottage and hot tub. There are no shops or pubs within walking distance of this cottage and the phone signal is not the best. ** PLEASE NOTE ** This is a self catering cottage NOT a hotel. You are required to bring your own toiletries and your own towels, if this is a problem please advise before arrival.
Approx 4 miles to the historic university town of Lampeter and approx 15mins to the coast of Cardigan Bay where the Bottle-nose dolphins can be seen

  • We had such a lovely time at Nicola’s place! The cottage was so lovely and cosy! Nicola had the fire going for our arrival so it was nice and warm. She was so helpful with loads of knowledge on local things to do and gave us fab recommendations for events going on. Nicola is so friendly and approachable and was there straight away if we needed anything! The cottage was completely renovated by herself and had loads of nice little touches to make it so homely. Honestly I was blown away by her skills in carpentry! We love sight seeing and we managed to see so much in one day! We went to llansteffan castle first which had a gorgeous beach and stunning views from the castle. We stopped for tea in a little cafe and sat outside soaking in the sun. We then went to tally abbey and were awestruck by the magnitude of the ruins. From there we went to dryslwyn castle and Payton’s tower which again gave us the opportunity to take in the stunning views of the countryside. We then had a quick stop off in camarthen town to see the castle and have a quick nose about the shops before heading back to the cottage for a lovely cosy night in front of the fire. Overall we had such a fabulous time! We will definitely be returning to complete our tour of historical sites that we didn’t manage to do on the Sunday due to the storm. Which is fab as it gives us the opportunity to stay with Nicola in her beautiful cottage again and get to play with her stunning dogs!

  • Nice and cozy room in a very friendly village. Would recommend! Tiny bit tricky to find as the building is just on the end corner of a one way road but easy to locate once you know how which road you need to take to get there.

A beautiful traditional bowtop gypsy caravan nestled on the edge of the mountain on our family farm, off the beaten track in the beautiful county of Carmarthenshire, West Wales. With 2000 acres of Llanllwni mountain to explore on your doorstep plus tonnes of local sights and activities. This Gypsy caravan is ideal for a single person but can accommodate two people if necessary. A great place to come for 'timeout' and to simply just be or to recuperate after a busy week.
As a family, we at Blanca Trekking take great pleasure in enabling others to share what we are so privileged to enjoy on a daily basis. We would no way call this glamping but do take pride in providing unique, simple yet comfortable accommodation to which our guests return time and time again. Our Gypsy Caravan is perfect for one person, but could accomodate two. It is cosy and tiny accomodation. Please note that the bed is very small ( 3ft x 5ft 9") keeping with the authenticity of the original bowtop bed sizes. We do also provide an inflatable camping mattress which can be used on the floor of the caravan for a second person. However please bring your own bedding for this as we only supply bedding for the caravan bed. We also allow a small tent to be pitched close by if wanted. The bowtop is heated by a very efficient woodburner (logs provided) and lit in the traditional way by lanterns. There is also a fire pit for you to use with a tripod and traditional cooking utensils, perfect for cooking a fried breakfast, a filling stew or a cuppa. This is not 'luxury' accommodation....it is not for the faint hearted....it is basic outdoor living...no electric....no running water. However, in case of bad weather, you also have access to a shared kitchen and bathroom area just a short walk away on the farmyard. This kitchen is equipped with a sink, electric oven (and hobs), fridge, washing machine and plenty of utensils for your to use. There are also some plug sockets here for charging devices! The bathroom has (limited) hot water, with bathing facilities and a flushing toilet We would like to stress that this is all an extra really, as it takes away the experience of an authentic way of living when using electricity and running water!
Blanca Trekking is set in stunning countryside and yet lucky enough to be within easy reach of all areas of West Wales including beaches, castles, villages and market towns in which there are a variety of amenities and activities to explore and enjoy.
  • What a wonderful welcome and what a truest amazing experience we had the best time in the loveliest surroundings My parents are already looking to stay next year and we are returning with our children

  • It was an amazing experience and we enjoyed every minute! Ruths response and hospitality was incredible and very much appreciated. She gave us a warm welcome and ensured we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable through out our stay. Ruths caravan is beautifully presented and a real gem in the most beautiful countryside. It had everything we could have needed for our stay - even down to lots of fire work to ensure that we were finally successful in our attempt to start a camping fire. Wonderful experience and would love to come again! Thank you for hosting us!l Ruth - couldn’t recommend this Airbnb enough!

‘Bwthyn Cwch Y Gwenyn’ or ‘Beehive Cottage’ was built as a Coach House in 1884. With thick stone walls, central heating and a log burner, it’s now a cosy place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Teifi Valley. The river is renowned for great fishing and kayaking, and the surrounding area is popular with walkers and cyclists. 2 night minimum stay at weekends.
The accommodation includes a large open plan kitchen and living room area on the ground floor. Here you’ll find the kitchen well equipped with everything you need, including gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, and washing machine. Plenty of pots and pans, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses. The lounge area has a log burner (with logs provided), and a TV with Freeview and radio stations. The cottage has dedicated WI-FI. Patio doors lead onto a decking area, for the sole use of guests. The deck overlooks our garden, so you may see us around. Feel free to explore the gardens. There is wildlife in abundance, but please be aware that there is a small stream and a pond, so children should be supervised and accompanied by an adult at all times. Sorry, no pets allowed.
The Cottage is located on a very quiet, unnamed narrow country lane, with hardly any traffic, and is not overlooked by any other properties nearby. No light pollution here - so if you enjoy stargazing, on a clear night the stars are quite spectacular!
  • Spotlessly clean and full of everything you need to make your stay simple and enjoyable. Communication was great and they are super friendly to deal with. Nothing too much trouble. Off road parking and just the sounds of the countryside. Not a street light or the sound of traffic - just peace and tranquillity. Enjoy.

  • We had a lovely 2 days in Measycrugiau and cooked Christmas dinner for my parents in the cottage. It was quiet and peaceful which was just what we needed. The beds are comfortable and shower great. Looking forwards to returning hopefully in the summer when we can use the outside space too. Thank you to Sarah also for some lovely mince pies :)

    Elin2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beehive Cottage is super clean and really cosy! The property itself was warm and the log burner was wonderful, making our stay feel really homely. The beds were comfortable and the living space felt very roomy, due to it's open plan layout. I would definitely recommend Beehive Cottage for a stay in this beautiful part of Wales.

    Becks2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Would definitely recommend this cottage. Nice and quiet

    Kate2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very relaxing holiday here. The communication was very fast and we were warmly welcomed and provided with everything necessary. We even got Sarah's homemade bread. We particularly enjoyed the silence and the seclusion, so the paths are longer, but we wanted to have it that way. We spent the evenings on the big terrace or in front of the warm oven - very cozy. We also received good tips, which we were also happy to implement. We can only recommend this cottage and its friendly hosts. Thank you very much!

Nestled in a quiet spot in the Welsh hills, our luxurious shepherd's hut enjoys a field of it's own and exclusive use of the hut's hot tub. Underfloor heating will keep you cosy and after supper simply convert the dining area to a comfy double bed. The hut has an ensuite shower room perfect for freshening up after a day of adventure at the nearby coast. The garden is enclosed to provide security for dogs, but there's plenty of space to take them for a run.
Use our hut as a base to explore the many attractions West Wales has to offer, or simply get away from it all and enjoy the peace and tranquility of our little slice of paradise.
Our hut is located in a field of its own which enjoys the sunshine right up until sunset. Stretch your legs in our beautiful valley or head to one of the many other amazing sites to see in the area.
  • The Three Spaniel's is by far THE best place I have stayed. Everything about this place is outstanding. From the location to Miri and Dave, I honestly could not fault this place. The hut in itself is beautifully presented with some really nice personal touches. The location of where the hut is situated on their ground is perfect, peaceful and secluded. The area of Wales in which this hut is located is perfect for everyone! Whether you want to just stay at the hut and explore Miri and Dave's land or if you want to go into big towns, you are not far away or if like me you want to go to quieter places to explore and walk, you are only 30-40 minutes drive away from some really beautiful places. Miri and Dave are by far the best host's I have ever met, and one of the nicest couples I have ever had the privilege to meet. I unfortunately had an unexpected circumstance on my last night at The Three Spaniel's, with no phone and in the middle of nowhere! Miri and Dave were so thoughtful and kind towards me, which flowed from them naturally. No matter the beautiful hut and hot tub (all done electronically!!!) or the location. I endeavour to return to The Three Spaniels to see Miri and Dave again!! I have not stopped talking about this place since I have returned and long to go back! Miri and Dave; you truly have created a beautiful space.

  • We very much enjoyed our stay in the Shepherds Hut. It was clean, cosy and had everything we needed. It is in a very peaceful location with lovely views and it’s easy to get to various places nearby. The hot tub is a special bonus too! Miri was a great host and very helpful with recommendations. We are looking forward to returning again in the summer.

  • Lovely stay at The Three Spaniels. Hosts Miri and Dave were there to greet us and show us around and are very friendly. The hut was well equipped and the underfloor heating kept us warm and cosy. We had a fantastic New Year’s Eve in the hot tub watching the stars as we were fortunate enough to have a clear night sky! There were hand drawn maps in the folder in the hut which were very well drawn and accurate! Would definitely recommend.

  • We have just returned from an excellent stay at The Three Spaniels. Our hosts Dave and Miri were extremely welcoming and always on hand for questions/ advice. We were kindly invited out for a Chinese and cinema trip by the hosts, a great finish to our stay. The Shepherds hut was spotless, with all the amenities we needed, the hot tub was a real treat. It was great to hear about all the exciting plans from the hosts and hopefully we will be back soon, Ozzy is already missing Murphy and Woody!

  • Beautiful cabin with thoughtful touches. Friendly hosts and gorgeous surroundings!

  • Miranda and Dave are amazing hosts. The hut is amazing we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hut is spotlessly clean and very cosy, and is comfortable/suitable in all weather. There are lots of exciting places to go around the local area, and beautiful walks. We watched shooting stars whilst in the hot tub. Overall our experience was unforgettable.

  • Amazing accommodation, beautiful surroundings, and perfect hosts. What a find The Three Spaniels was, the perfect family getaway. The hosts Dave and Miri made us all feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, offering us refreshments after our long drive before giving us a guided tour of the facilities and their 26 acres of land (which you are welcome to explore for yourselves anytime). Our puppy also enjoyed the guided tour given to him by Murphy and Woody (the resident Spaniels). The shepards hut is a great place to stay, spotlessly clean and finished to a very high standard, it provided enough space for 2 adults a 9 year old and 13 month old Cocker Spaniel to live comfortably for 4 nights. The enclosed garden and brand new hot tub are a fantastic finishing touch. The folder provided by Miri in the hut gives ample information on the surrounding areas, from the best beaches, activities, and places to eat. Dave and Miri were always on hand to answer any questions we had and nothing was too much trouble for them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will certainly be returning to The Three Spaniels in the near future. Thanks Dave and Miri, keep up the good work.

    Matt2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Miri and Dave's shepherd hut is a little slice of Welsh heaven. It's the perfect escape, both cosy and comforting as well as having that added bit of luxury with the hot tub. You are near enough lots of beautiful spots that it's worth venturing out for an explore but there was nothing better than coming back at the end of a day to a glass of wine in that hot tub! Just perfect. Thank you both!

  • May's place ticked every box. The space is very clean and homely. The room was large, comfortable, very clean as was the bathroom and other areas. May and Simon were great to chat to, and I was interested to discover all the produce they grow on site. It was a real pleasure to stay and their hospitality serves as an impeccable example of what Airbnb can facilitate. Recommended. Thank you!

This spacious room with twin beds and shared facilities is a great base for exploring west Wales, from Carmarthen, down the Teifi Valley as far as the Ceredigion coast. Watch red kites soaring overhead, try your hand at kayaking or enjoy the walks.
The space is a spare bedroom in my home. It has two fairly new single beds, a wardrobe and a couple of tallboys so plenty of space. The street is a wide cul-de-sac with no problem for parking.
The house is on a hill overlooking the village of Llandysul which sits on the bank of the Teifi River. Red kites soar overhead as you walk down to the main street, where shopping is not extensive but provides the basics. There is also a great Chinese restaurant/takeaway, an Indian takeaway and a very popular Italian café.
  • Lovely home and friendly chat.

  • Dee’s place was very comfortable and stylish. Rooms are quite big and good WiFi connection. Very calm area and totally relaxed. Dee is very quick in responses and very kind. She guided me to visit the Devils Bridge which is at Aberystwyth. Good breakfast in the morning. She is very good in communication and good knowledge about the local and international languages. Enjoyed my stay! Thanks Dee.

  • Fantastic welcome from Dee - always very kind, helpful and considerate and very efficient in responding to messages and providing any kind of information for travel and stay. The area is very quiet and quiet and still easy to reach by car and by bus. The house is very comfortable, lovingly furnished and impeccably clean. I had a great time and I will definitely be back! Additional note: I do not know how many, among the Italians who will read this review, study the Welsh language like me; just in case, know that you can practice conversation with her, who is very patient and used to helping students! Diolch yn fawr iawn, Dee!
