What a lovely place to stay. In the heart of the village beside a beautiful river, this really is a charming house with everything you could need. The beds were comfy, lounge cosy and kitchen big enough for cooking up a feast. Highly recommend - we will definitely return.

What a lovely cottage Ty Canol is! Even at first glance you can tell that Rosemary put a lot of love and care into making it the perfect place to stay for anyone who wants to explore the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. The location is amazing with plenty of walks nearby, and the views from the patio and windows are stunning. The cottage itself is very clean and has everything you need. It's tastefully done with lots of little extras that make it super homely and cosy. The bird feeder on the patio, with all the lovely blue and coal tits and sparrows, was also a lovely touch. I also want to thank Rosemary for being such a great host. She was always really quick to respond to my messages and helped me with any queries I had. She also provided a folder with a lot of information about the area, walks and hiking routes, etc.., which was really helpful. All in all we had an amazing holiday and we will definitely be back!

Not only is Rosemary’s place immaculate, it’s nestled in the most stunning location with incredible views of the Brecon Beacons. A fantastically detailed book is also provided containing information for both walks from the cottage door, in addition to slightly further afield in the Beacons. There’s also plenty of advice for places to visit and things to do. My wife and I spent our third wedding anniversary here. We’re already planning to come back for our fourth!

A lovely space, very cosy and well presented

Rosemary’s cottage has the most INCREDIBLE views. It’s a south facing property so you can see sun rise and sun set on a magical landscape. The space itself was perfect for our requirements. There were loads of recommendations for local walks which was very helpful. We loved it: thank you!

Cluckingham Palace is a beautifully made, cosy and practical unit. We stayed in November and the logfire kept us very warm. We felt right at home. A lot of thought an intelligence has gone into its design. David is a lovely and very accommodating host. This is highly recommended. An outdoor lovers affordable romantic getaway.

Very lovely one night stay. We didn’t have the best of the weather with us but the space was cosy and warm throughout.

The little wagon is very cosy & warm once the fire is on. All you can hear outside is the gentle flow of water in the river. It is so very peaceful. David is a lovely host who offered some ideas of things to see in the area. What I loved the most is that at night, the sky just lights up with stars because there are no streetlights dimming any of it.

Cluckingham palace has loads of character, in a beautiful setting. A great spot to explore the Brecon Beacons. David was helpful, friendly and had added plenty of delightful touches to the accommodation. Would really like to come and stay again!

Beautiful accommodation and very suitable for a holiday with two beautiful walks in the Welsh countryside. At Cluckingham Palace, it feels like you live in your own tiny house. We quickly felt at home and everything was there, what we needed. It looked as thought-out to the smallest detail and additionally decorated very artistically and creatively.

Five stars wouldn't be enough. We had a lovely weekend in the cottage. We had everything we needed, the cooking facilities were brilliant. It is lovely and cosy with a great heating system for cold winter days. There's a great cupboard with lots of local tips and recommendations. Wonderful place, cosy and quiet. Not as close to the Brecon Beacons as we had read on other reviews. Around a 25 minute drive to most of the walks for the Brecon Beacons/pen y fan. The cottage is lovely, the heating is great and can be adjusted. The kitchen facilities were great which meant we did not have to spend additional costs eating out. There was a foul smell in one of the cupboards unsure as to why. Slept comfortably as it was quiet however the sheets were bobbly and felt quite itchy. We made use of the beautiful log burner. Hosts were brilliant, couldn’t help enough. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Thank you!

Great night's sleep and David very welcoming.

David is a wonderful, relaxed and welcoming host. Our room was full of character, private and comfortable. David's recommendation about eating in the Tanner's Arms was excellent.

Room had everything we could ask for- tea and coffee making facilities,bottled water,plenty of extra sockets. Very quiet location, you can keep windows open and have no noise from outside. Great local pub literally on the doorstep with a great range of ales and ciders. Highly recommended stay!

Host was congenial and polite. A cosy stay well situated to Bristol airport and pleasant meal At the George pub restaurant nearby. Good for refuelling hire car near garage.

David's home is lovely and the room was well presented, cosy and very clean. He told us where the pubs are and how to get the biker cafe for breakfast! Fantastic, thank you.

Great place to stay for access to Brecon National Park

A great place to stay. Very welcoming hosts and a lovely characterful home. Also great food at the Tanner' s Arms just a couple of doors away. We would certainly recommend this Air BNB.

The Acorn was a perfect getaway for exploring the Brecon Beacons! Such a snug, stylish and comfortable place in amazing surroundings. Loved the thoughtful touches (the mini welsh cakes were amazing!) and the bed was so comfy! We loved stargazing in front of the firepit with a drink to keep us warm. Where to begin. What a fantastic place. Spotlessly clean inside and out with beautifully fresh smelling bedding and towels. The attention to detail is second to none, every little thing has been thought of from ice cubes and milk in the fridge, to marshmallows for the fire pit. It’s the perfect base for exploring Brecon and the views of Pen-Y-Fan are going to be hard to beat. There’s nothing quite like waking up and seeing the rolling hills and mountains from bed. Sophie’s hospitality is 5 star. Would highly recommend.

The ‘Acorn’ is an amazing place to stay, in a really special private spot. I was a bit concerned about staying in such a small hut 800 metres above sea level with storm Dennis arriving, the communication from Sophie reassured me, the hut it so well built it didn’t even wobble in the high winds. Sophie added some nice touches before our arrival which made it extra special, we hope to return in the summer.

A wonderful getaway for relaxation. Loved all the personal touches Sophie put out. Looking forward to booking my next stay! X

We had a lovely stay in the Shepard’s hut. As many have written it’s even nicer than the pictures. Can truly recommend it.

I'm literally just home from a 2 night stay at a the Acorn. What a magical little hut. It's unique, and quaint. The little touches are great, and Sophie has thought of everything. The added space between the hut and the shed is AWESOME, having the opportunity to sit outside come rain or shine...or even storm Ciara is great, and even better that you can BBQ, or have a fire mid the worst storm in 7yrs. I really didn't want to leave. Hope to return in summer to appreciate the dark skies. Thank you so much for having us 😊 Kirstie

We had a wonderful time in the coach house. The visibility was bad and the weather was worse, up on Pen y Fan, which was no surprise in February, but we all came home happy and we relaxed in your lovely space. Everything was just as we’d hoped and I slept very well. Thanks, Beate.

We’ve had a wonderful three nights in the coach house! Wonderfully cosy, and the most fantastic location for the Brecon Beacons and Four Waterfalls trail. We most definitely recommend a stay here!

The Coach House is spotlessly clean, well equipped and in a great location. We had everything we needed, a well equipped kitchen, nice hot bath and shower and comfy bed. Beate and Tim also made us feel very welcome indeed and are really friendly, thank you! We really enjoyed the drive up the A40 with great scenes along the way and drive through Cricklehowell and other small villages. Sennybridge is a short drive and we spent a fun evening at The Usk and Railway Inn with many people making conversation on New Year’s Eve . The Brecon Beacons Centre is only 15 mins drive and is well worth visiting.

Perfect, everything you need.

Staying at the coach house is amazing, the location is perfect for surrounding areas of the Brecon beacons and it's so secluded and peaceful. The house itself is so cute and cosy inside, me and my boyfriend stayed for a couple of nights and both nights stayed in and cooked, watching TV and playing games (they have board games!). When we arrived Beate had left us some delicious Welsh cakes and eggs from their hens which we turned into pancakes the next day. The bed is super comfy, the bath is huge and the whole place has such a homely feel. The heating is also easy to use on the colder winter nights! We loved it and would love to come back

The accommodation is a self contained bungalow with all amenities needed and more. Spotlessly clean, amazing Egyptian cotton bedding and perfect for my walks up Pen Y Fan (ten mins drive away). Wifi, Sky Q and all extra luxuries provided, and the kitchen space was brand new and spotless also. Chris & Kara were the perfect hosts, responded to any queries very quickly over text and left me alone to my own devices across the stay. Lots of tips and maps etc. left for you by the hosts and a very simple guide book to the accommodation. It is in the middle of a farm area, so a tad away from civilisation (circa 3miles max), but I actually walked into Sennybridge and back one evening for a few beers and dinner in one of the local pubs. The food was amazing! I will definitely be back! Loved the place!

We had a wonderful, short stay at Hugh's cabin with our 2 girls aged 2 and 4 and our 2 mini sausage dogs. The property was extremely well insulated, clean and cosy. We had an excellent time away from London life and will be returning again for sure. Thank you Hugh.

Lovely location and nice for our children to roam around the farm. We had very good weather, saw many stars and had amazing walks in the area. I would definitely recommend the cabin.

We had a lovely stay in the cabin. The views were spectacular and it really felt like a secret hide away. Our daughters loved playing in the nearby stream and meeting Oscar. We very much hope to return in the future.

Wonderful little place, truly secluded!

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing location. Lots to do in the area. We will return.

Wonderful, cosy cabin. Surprisingly private corner on a working farm. Views were amazing. Everything we needed and brilliant location. Surrounded in amazing caves and landscapes to explore. We have a one-year old and he absolutely loved it too.

My wife, 5yr old son and 2yr old daughter and I just spent 4 nights in the Tucked Away Log Cabin, and we all had a fantastic time. Everything you might need is in the cabin, it's warm, comfortable and in a great location. We'd have loved to have been able to sit on the decking to eat but it was just a bit too nippy for that being early April, but anyone staying in warmer times are bound to love it out there. Special mention to Oscar, the very friendly resident doggy. 1st eve I was there I took a walk around the area to a stream at the bottom of the hill and he joined me for a stroll, I appreciated the company. All in all, I really recommend staying at one of Hugh's places on his farm, he's very helpful and friendly and you're bound to have a great time.

River run is so beautiful. The kitchen has everything you need and more. The bathroom is so super stylish and the bed .... omg so comfy. Jaynes place is immaculate with amazing little touches making your stay so comfortable and easy. Amazing fluffy dressing gowns and was lovely and warm when we arrived. Beautiful location and the garden is incredible with the river running at the bottom. Great cafe which does breakfast a minute walk down the road too 👍 Thank you so much for letting us stay we really didnt want to leave 😆😍

Jaynes place is in a lovely location with nice local amenities. Jayne was an excellent host and providing flowers and home made cookies for my Mums birthday

Lovely cosy loft apartment, meticulously decorated and everything was spotlessly clean. The outdoor space was amazing and surpassed our expectations: so many places to sit with a cuppa, our favourite spot was right by the river at the bottom of the garden. All in all, a lot of thought had gone into making it the best experience possible for visitors, including a bottle of milk and homemade biscuits on arrival. I would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay again in the future.

Excellent location for walking in the recon Beacons.

We had a great stay in Jayne’s place and it was even more lovely than the photos. The location is great and there are 3 pubs within a few minutes walk, plus at least another 2 also within walking distance (we recommend the nearby Red Lion:). Jayne was welcoming and having on site massage and access to good quality mountain bikes was a good option to have too. Overall we would definitely recommend this as a place to stay!

The space was as described, well appointed, comfortable and warm, with the convection heater for when you come back from a walk! Good directions from Jayne, very responsive to questions and flexible (we asked for a later checkout as we were going walking in the storm and wanted to have a shower when we got back!). Very well placed for access to Brecons.

This Shepherd's hut is a lovely place to stay. Really well designed so actually feels like you have lots of space but still super cosy. It was snowing when we were there but the fire keeps it really warm. Small kitchen but the induction hob is great so can whip up a good meal. Great location, particularly if you are planning on climbing pen y Fan. We would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay here. It was lovely and cosy - the wood burner was fantastic and kept us very nice and warm! There are great amenities and the accommodation is bigger than it looks in the pictures.

We had such a lovely stay this weekend, the children really didn’t want to leave and my son actually begged to stay and cried when we left. The cottage has everything you need, the beds are extremely comfy and the animals and people on the farm were wonderful. Oscar the Labrador was the icing on the cake and spent both evenings with us, such a lovely boy. The walks on the farm we’re lovely and we will definitely return again!!

We loved this great cottage a bit off the beaten path, yet close and convenient to Brecon National Park and everything we wanted to do. It was cozy and warm and Venetia greeted us and helped us get situated. Nice Welsh cakes, milk, and fresh eggs. Even a washer. Very clean. An assortment of dvds and books. We definitely would stay again.

Jayne’s place is fantastic. A spotlessly clean, cosy and quirky room, with everything you could possibly need to relax after tiring days out in the Beacons. The room had all the amenities you could need, as well as feeling like your on safari! We had a lovely stay here. There is also a useful book full of local walks, pub recommendations and things to do. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely location on the edge of the Brecon Beacons with easy access to all local tourist spots. A good handful of pubs to hand made for nice evenings but pubs aside, there isn’t much else locally, so be prepared to travel. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the theming made for an entertaining giggle. Really fun. If coming with dogs, please note there is a small extra to be paid on arrival. This is mentioned on the listing, but deep within a sub menu so easily missed. We would happily visit again.

Lovely property in a great location. Nice walks locally. Facilities in the property were great, plenty of amenities in the kitchen for cooking and nice space to relax for the evening. We had a lovely stay at Jaynes! She is a very attentive host and replies to messages quickly. The decor was brilliant and the room has a very comfy bed! The garden is gorgeous, my partner and I enjoyed spending the evening sitting outside with a cold drink listening to the river as the sun set. Jayne has ensured the kitchen is fully equipped with anything you need for dinner, and the bathroom is lovely with underfloor heating and animal print robes! There’s 3 pubs in walking distance, we would definitely recommend the Railway & Usk - the staff are friendly and the food is unbelievably good! You have to go!!

Helen ‘s cottage is the perfect home from home. The open plan living room and kitchen is a lovely sociable space, especially with the wood burner. Stylish, immaculate, warm and cosy, and so handy for so many local attractions. A great place to stay.

Faultless stay in this immaculately presented accommodation. What a beautiful home! Helen was a superb host, and was readily available with answers to any questions we had. The house is superbly located for walking and whilst it feels remote, is also close to local towns too. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped. Bathroom well equipped, bed very comfortable (not sure where the lady below stayed!). Beautiful sitting area, superb feature fire place that we had burning every evening. We have stayed in a lot of houses in this area, and this is up there as the very best. We will definitely return, and suggest you give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Helens cottage is just perfect for a long weekend in the Brecon Beacons. It’s approx 15 minutes from most places and surrounded by beautiful countryside. We were a party of four and it was just right for us. Would definitely recommend here for a short break!

This lovely, isolated, picturesque cottage will not disappoint. With nothing to disturb you but the nearby river or sheep this cottage is in an idillic location. We used it as our base to go and explore the Beacons everything is within driving distance to get you outside! 100% would recommend.

Had a great time in this spacious house. All rooms large, plenty of seating in lounge area and dining area, well equipped kitchen, lots of leaflets about the area, en-suite bathroom in main bedroom, downstairs toilet in utility area, fantastic games room with sofas, DVDs, books, games, children’s toys. Pool/snooker table and table tennis table. Large patio area which leads to the hills. Plenty of parking. Good communication with Zoe.

Zoe was a great host - we had 2 amazing weeks in this cottage. When our friends stayed in the adjoining cottage this made for an ideal location. The option to connect the cottages together was genius, so we could meet up in the games room or simply have an open door into each other's cottages if we wanted to. The cottages themselves are spacious, well maintained and were all we were hoping they would be. Zoe couldn't have done anything more to make our stay more memorable, whenever we had any queries or needed help she was on it straight away and kept us up to date with what was going on. Thoroughly recommend this host and the cottages!

Fantastic space, the living room is huge, with the big, comfy sofa perfect for curling up on when there's a storm raging outside! The local walking, as much as we could get to due to the storm, was great, lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Sharon was always quick to respond and the directions and amenities were first class.

The old school room was perfect. A lovely space in a great location for the Brecon Beacons. It is very comfortable and an easy space to relax in. I will def be back to stay and would recommend it.

Hugh had great communication ahead of our stay and gave us lots of really helpful information, so that when we arrived we had everything we needed and had an amazing, relaxed experience. Beautiful views and a private camp spot with our own allocated toilet and shower. Highly recommended!

The tent was wonderful. Hugh put in so many extra touches like warm bedding, beautiful decoration and all in a beautiful location. We had a lot of fun with Oscar the farm dog who visited us regularly, an extra 5/5 for him! Highly recommended.

We chose the bell tent to stay in something a little different. We loved it! It was beautifully decorated and the area was peaceful. We would definitely stay here again.

A stunning, quiet retreat. The yurt was so cosy and the bbq and cooking station made meals much easier. It had everything needed for a stay away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

An idyllic village house set in the beautiful Welsh hills! Natasha was a wonderful host and had the fire lit, coffee brewing ready for our arrival..(we got lost but Natasha was more than happy to help). The house has lots character, with wooden beams and wooden floors and has three big double bedrooms..plenty of space and very social 😊. Natasha made us feel very welcome and was great at communicating and gave us lots of local tips. We hiked up pen y fan, which was 15 mins drive away, and enjoyed a pub lunch, a stones throw away from the house, which was great! Thanks Natasha

Had a lovely weekend staying here. The house is really cosy and was lovely to chill with the log fire watching movies. Not far from Pen y Fan, which we hiked. Great location with some towns around 15 minutes away. We did a shop at a local coop so we had everything we needed. Thanks for being a great host!

This is in a very small village with no shops, but there is another quite close that you can buy food etc. The house is surprisingly larger than we thought. Parking on the street is fine .

Linda's communication was exceptional and the house was lovely. She provided logs for one night's fire which was wonderful, and the surrounding area is peaceful and stunning to look at. I recommend going to dan yr ogof, just a 15 minute drive away!

Homely, comfy

The location is breath-taking, rolling hills with livestock and a gorgeous stream running nearby. You're far enough to 'get away from it all', but only a 5-10 minute drive from pubs, petrol stations and of course the walks! The house is fantastic, Nikki has created a home away from home - we felt settled straight away. The open fire is so comforting, and the character of the house makes it an amazing getaway. It was immaculate, with a modern kitchen and plenty of space across the house to store everything you would need. We will definitely be coming back again!

An exceptionally well kept cottage that is set in a very quiet location, yet within just a few minutes drive from the A40 and therefore a perfect base from which to explore the Brecon Beacons. Well equipped, very comfortable and immaculately clean. Having the added bonus of access to the barbecue lodge provided our family to have fun whilst it chucked it down! Would highly recommend this property and consider it very good value.

Outstanding Cottage in a beautiful location! We had a brilliant time, the cottage was spotlessly clean, easy to check in & full of useful information about local attractions. Nikki also provided us with a hamper which was a lovely touch. The BBQ lodge was also brilliant, I think it was my first BBQ in November! Would definitely recommend a trip here

Wonderful home, we had a lovely visit. The house was warm and welcoming when we arrived. Beds super comfy - everything you'd need in the kitchen, lovely log fire, blankets and great DVD/book selection. Perfect location to walks etc. in Brecon too and the hot tub just topped off our stay. A beautiful cottage, secure and private. Enclosed garden very secure for the dogs. I would definitely recommend to others, a peaceful little get away. We loved the hot tub and fire place. Very clean through out, with lovely little touches, making it feel homely.

Brecon is a 12 minute drive and has some lovely shops and galleries and of course the countryside is on your doorstep for great walks with your dog . Brecon town is a 15 minute drive and has some lovely places to eat and shop. Lise was an absolutely fantastic host, she answered so many of my questions before I even made the booking. We loved our stay with Lise, the cottage was sparkling clean and cozy, flowers on the table a lush little touch to make us feel welcomed. The views are stunning along the valley from the windows. The walk from he cottage up to the trig point and standing stone is a must! It’s beautiful up there and we saw wild ponies! We have loved our little break away it’s been perfect.

Wonderful nature experience ! Wendy was a Super host providing a safe and clean environment was very friendly and informative. Even though there are fantastic photos of surrounding scenery in the ad they can not capture the beauty of this location. We took amazing walks directly from back of property which ultimately leads to the Brecon circuit.

It was a great location to hike around Brecon. The place was right next to a pub - very handy for food after a long day! We arrived late at night but David was kind to wait for us to check in. The area was peaceful and the room was clean. I would recommend this place.

David was very welcoming, the room was just what we needed and the location was perfect for our activities in the Brecon Beacons.

Lovely and warm loft apartment which was amazing to return too in the cold winter weather. very spacious bedroom too which was lovely. All amemties you will need. Take some wellies or spare shoes if its rainy as there can be mud about. As expected on a farm

Literally the nicest place we’ve stayed. The place was amazingly clean and well kitted out with everything we need, in a great location to get to towns (about half an hour) but it was so quiet we didn’t hear a thing all night. Such a great place, thank you!

A very relaxing, cosy place to stay, with beautiful views and fresh air. No shops or restaurants nearby so be prepared to drive, but several good pubs within 5 miles. Extremely comfortable bed and lovely shower.

This place is an amazing getaway from daily routine and city life. Tha location is perfect for exploring Brecon National Park. The farm is enormous and there are plenty of things to do to spend your time! Fantastic arrangements for BBQ. We enjoyed having our breakfast and afternoon tea surrounded by hills. The Loft is well decorated with personal touches and well equiped. Perfectly clean. Hugh is a very nice host and very helpful. After I had injury he arranged a ride to the local clinic. We highly recommend this place. Definitely we will come here again.

We loved staying in the loft barn for the weekend. The loft is clean, tidy and has everything you need. We hired the e-bikes and had a great ride over the common. We also went for dinner at the Shoemakers arms which was lovely. Hugh is a great host, willing to answer any questions and recommended places to eat, rides and walks. We will be back again I’m sure.

This is a great venue for anyone looking for a place to stay in the Brecons. A short drive from Pen y Fan, and situated in the quiet countryside makes this a great place to start your rural adventures from. Marion is great host, very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast provisions and room are exceptional. A great B&B.

Marion’s gave us a very warm welcome and her place is lovely. The room is a great size and was very clean. The bed was comfortable and we got a great nights sleep. It was nice to wake up to the view of the Brecon Beacons in the morning and have breakfast at the beautifully laid out table. The B&B is in a great location with nearby access to the Brecon Beacons national park, where there are some great walks, views and other local attractions. It is also close to towns and villages where you can grab a bite to eat or do a bit of shopping. She gave us some recommendations of places to visit during our stay. I highly recommend staying at Marion’s place.
