We're all different in many ways, but we all share one thing in common: passion for unique and magical experiences. We have long since wished there were easy ways to escape our busy city lives and retreat into a magical, beautiful and peaceful space that feels like another world. This idea eventually evolved into a mission to build with our own hands Melbourne's very own magical sanctuaries, and to share it with the rest of the world. We love imagining what we could create, to build, and to share them with the world through hosting. We constantly think about how to make our creations bring even greater sense of joy and wonder, and not about how much it'll cost us. We're genuinely excited and happy to host each new guest, to hear about what they love about our creations, and what we could do to make it even better. We have built and opened our first instalment of Melbourne's hidden sanctuary, which we lovingly refer to as "Heaven & Earth". We have plans to make it even better, as well as other ideas for other worlds we want to try building for our next instalments. All Melbourne's CBD attractions are within easy walking distance—you can reach Flinders Station, Federation Square, and the Yarra River in five minutes. Degraves Street is a three-minute walk, and Hardware Lane restaurants are six minutes away.

The place was just as described, with amazing attention to details and extra touches like great coffee machine and milk provided, plenty of towels and warm, cozy bedding. The forest theme created an environment more relaxing than I even imagined. The location of the apartment, being at the end of the hall meant it was a quiet oasis in the middle of the CBD. The view is magnificent, & directly opposite the State Library lawn, where students lounge in the sun, buskers entertain & many historic celebrations & demonstrations have occurred. You'll be in the centre of it all.
    The freshly renovated apartment has everything you'll need to stay comfortably and safely in the heart of Melbourne. The space is clean and practical, with phone chargers, storage, and lots of coat hangers. It is particularly suitable for music lovers, with a guitar and a record player for guests to enjoy.
    Swanston Street includes many landmarks including the State Library of Victoria, the Capitol Theatre, Federation Square, and RMIT University.

Easy to find, great location, easy access, clean, lots of little extra’s such as; cell phone charging cords, universal plugs, lots of towels, face clothes, things that you may need, but forgot to pack. Some may find the street noise abit loud for sleeping at times, I did not, but, she even has ear plugs there for you. I would highly recommend 👍

    This beautifully designed apartment covers the 2nd Floor a unique, open plan and light-filled space. The guest bedroom has a comfortable Queen bed fitted with fine quality linen. We provide Breakfast with a selection of Cereal, Yogurt & Artisan bread. The Guest lounge has big comfy sofas. Flinders Lane has Galleries, Boutiques, fabulous Restaurants & Bars; a safe and exciting neighbourhood. Perfect location to stay for Travellers & there are also facilities for Board meetings & Presentations.
    We live in a spacious and light-filled warehouse, furnished with French provincial furniture and Contemporary Art. The building was a Fashion House, converted to Apartments in the '90s; it has very high ceilings with Architectural details defining the space, the bathrooms have an industrial edge with stainless steel fit out. We have comfy sofas for when you need to relax with a coffee or a glass of wine after a busy day of work or sightseeing.
    The area of Flinders Lane has a history of Fashion and Art for over a century; the area has changed over the last 2 decades, tho' it has always remained edgy, Boutiques, Galleries and now fabulous foodie Restaurants, there are also several Live music venues and Bars tucked away in Laneways throughout the city.

  • I wrote an extensive review about my last stay here back in May 2019 so feel free to check that out. This time around I stayed from 5th to 9th February 2020. As with my last visit, it’s a wonderful experience staying with Bronwyn, Michael and their furry child Chai. So great to meet Michael in person this time too! Their super spacious warehouse apartment has everything you could ask for, plus the very central location in the city makes getting to the major local sights and CBD shopping / eating districts a breeze. I also really appreciated the complimentary continental breakfast that was so thoughtfully laid out the night before. This gave me a good energy boost at the start of the day as this time I ventured a bit further out and caught more trams - note that Melbourne is quite flat and very easy to get around on foot, which I mostly did during my last visit. Thank you for your warm and gracious hospitality as always.

  • I spent five wonderful days here. The location of the apartment is really amazing, in the heart of the city center. From here, it is very convenient to go anywhere. The house is the same as the pictures look like an art gallery, full of art atmosphere. Living here, has the private room and the bathroom, also can use Brown's kitchen, open kitchen, the tableware is very complete. Brown & Michael, They are very enthusiastic and made me feel very warm. They also gave me some very convenient and useful tour advice. There are extra services, a hearty breakfast, a bottle of wine, a transit card, washer, and dryer, and can store luggage for a while. They are really considerate for the guests. If you want a deep experience of Melbourne's life, come here ! Brown loves food,if she has time, you can cook with her. I'll come again next time. We travelled with a 4 month old and found the lift to work well for taking the pram in and out of the vicinity. A comfortable treasured space in superb location made it easy for us to explore the city without too much hassle.

    Bourke Street Retreat is located at the rear of a small block of apartments away from street noise. The apartment has an attractive urban view and overlooks a leafy courtyard garden. It has large windows that are fitted with secondary glazing which makes for a quiet space. The apartment has an open plan and is comfortably furnished with all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. There is a well-appointed kitchen if you decide to cook. The lounge area has a three seater sofa, an armchair and a side table. There is a 43" smart television and a speaker through which you can play your music wirelessly. The bed has a comfortable queen-sized mattress. There is a spacious wardrobe for you to unpack and store your belongings. Off the main room is a bright and clean bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. The apartment has ducted heating and cooling, so you will be insulated from the vagaries of Melbourne's weather.

The location is unbeatable and the building is absolutely beautiful. Everything we needed was included and the hosts were so quick at responding to queries and organising check in and check out. If the windows are open, the train noise is loud but you get used to it.     A comfy and clean room. Located closely to two shopping strips with supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and pharmacies and more. Easy public transport, with a tram stop directly outside the residence and a train station a 5 minute walk away. The CBD is only a 20 minute drive or 20 minute train ride. The residence is also a 5 minute drive from Chadstone.
    FREE WiFi and kitchen appliances only for simple cooking. The room comes with a 32" Smart TV. Digital TV is difficult to access but there is a Netlfix account ready for you to use. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Please note that the house has another room that is being listed. We also have a very friendly border collie 'Bailey'. There is one bathroom and one toilet in the house; shared between guests and us.

    A great place to stay for a group of 3!! My garage has been converted into a room with lots of space. The room includes a double bed, a wardrobe, a double seater sofa bed, and a coffee table. My place is a 10 minute walk from Glen Huntly station; approximately 20 minutes train ride to the city. The tram stop; route 67 is out of the front of my place. Carnegie Main Street (Koornang Road) is a 10 minute walk away. There are a variety of cheap Asian restaurants along the main street.
    FREE WiFi and kitchen appliances for simple cooking. The room comes with a 65" SMART TV with a Chromecast device. Netflix is also available with an account already logged in. My place is ideal for a group of three or even couples. We also have a border collie 'Bailey'. Guest(s) will have to pass through a small open courtyard (where the clothesline is located) to the room. There are one bathroom and one toilet in the house; shared between the guests and us.

    The apartment has got a private room, a front yard for catching some sunlight, sits 250m away from bus stand, 500m away from a tram station and 1 km away from train station. Has got a 24*7 Woolworths store in the nearby suburb and 2 different Woolworths store in the same suburb. Nearby you can find a really nice park if you’d like to go out for a run. All the restaurants chain is less than a 1 km away from home. No air conditioner in the room. We have fans inside the rooms and there is an air conditioner in the living room!

We needed a comfy bed and convenient location not too far from Royal Melbourne Golf Club to crash after long days out walking and it suited us just right. Even better, there was an IGA + liquor in walking distance around the corner and a killer cafe for breakfast. Easy and cheap to get around to local restaurant spots in Elsternwick and Elwood too. Highly recommend for anyone attending golf tournaments at Black Rock as it only takes 15 minutes tops by car to arrive, so much better than trekking in from the city :)

    My home is a two-storey newly built house. My husband and I lives on the ground floor. We'll share the main entrance but we have our own private space separated by a door. Parking is freely available on the street with no time restrictions in place.
    This unit is accessed via a private courtyard. The courtyard is a perfect space for unwinding after a long day out or reading a book. The unit is generously proportioned across two main rooms. There's a European style laundry with washing machine and sink accessed directly from the courtyard. The unit looks directly onto the veggie patch and tree canopy beyond.
    Carnegie is a vibrant suburb at the epicentre of the new Skyrail project. The main street is morphing into a night time venue as many new eateries and cafes emerge. It boasts 3 supermarkets in addition to a fantastic community library. Getting around by bike is easy. Monash Freeway access is just 10 minutes by car. Brighton Beach is 15 minutes by car the opposite way.

  • It's a great location if you need to stay at Carnegie or close to transport. The station is just across the road yet the road is reasonably quiet. You can walk to the local IGA supermarket or around the corner to Woolworths. Although I cooked my now meals, Carnegie is well known for its eateries especially Korean food. The place is very clean and very comfortable. I slept extremely well. There is ample room up to four people (two couples) as it has two bedrooms with a queen size bed and good wardrobe space. Holly is a wonderful host who will provide you with every assistance necessary. The unit is on the first floor so you will have to walk up a flight of stairs. The undercover car space is close to the stairwell. Once you park your car, you should need need to use it again until you leave due to its excellent location.

    This is a beautiful sunny and spacious apartment with a private en suit bathroom and a view of the pool and has its own private entrance and private kitchenette. If you wish to cook you can use the kitchen in the main house. There is free unlimited street parking right outside the apartment.
    The room is huge and very private. There are stairs to get to the apartment.
    We're in 3 minutes walk of cafe's, take away restaurants, bakery and convenient store. There is a park just around the corner and we are a 20 minute walk to the pub. You can take a 15 minute drive to either Brighton or Mordialloc beach.

    My apartment is a relatively new unit in an older style, quiet space in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. You have your own private bedroom with wall mounted tv and unlimited Netflix. Shared lounge, kitchen and bathroom. I will also provide towels for you to use as a part of your stay.
    Glenhuntly is one of Melbournes smallest suburbs which contributes to the quiet nature of the neighbourhood. Glenhuntly village as a 5 minute walk is full of great food choices including pizza, multiple take away restaurants including Chinese, Indian, Thai and all the other shops you might need such as a 24 hour Woolworths Supermarket, 2 bottle shops, chemist, and a fantastic restaurant 2 minutes from my house - the servery - with mid week meal specials. A 3 minute walk will also take you to a local Glenhuntly bar, right near the train station - perfect for a quiet evening drink!

    Private room in a 2br apartment. Basic and bright queen size bedroom with shared bathroom, separate toilet, kitchen and laundry facilities. The place is a 5 minute walk to St Kilda Beach and 5 minute to popular Albert Park. Tram stations with connections to city are a 3 minutes walk and St. Kilda Pier with Penguins a 10 minutes walk from our place. The bathroom, kitchen and living room are shared with us.
    The bedroom has a queen size bed, desk and wardrobe and is yours for the duration of your stay. The bathroom, toilet and kitchen are shared, basic utilities (towels, shampoo, laundry powder, tea and coffee, etc.) are provided for guests. Guests can use the washing machine in the kitchen but the dryer is coin-operated and in the common area of the apartment complex. There is an outside drying rack which can be used free of charge and we can provide pegs if necessary. There is a microwave-oven available and you will get some space in the fridge. There is free on and off-street parking available for guests.
    The apartment is situated in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood between Albert Park and St. Kilda beach. both Park and beach are a 5 minute walk away and the Park has a beautiful lake with swans, dugs and other birds, sports facilities and great views over the Melbourne skyline. St. Kilda Pier is a 10 minute walk away and penguins can be spotted all year round starting around sunset. There are 2 small cafes and bakeries only a minute from where we live and supermarkets are two tram stations or a 10 minute walk away.
