Perfectly situated to all the hiking spots, and easy drive up to Copper Harbor, were already selling points. The acreage, the lake (when you find it), were even better than expected. My dog had the time of his life exploring the property, which made for a nice change of pace after a strenuous day of hiking. Quiet, immersed in nature, it was relaxing, rejuvenating, and wonderful stay. Thank you!

Loved it! We were there for four days, and it was cozy! The doors are similar to barn doors and they slide, which we thought was cool. Everyone talks about the shower in the sauna—it’s not as confusing as they make it seem. The instructions in the listing are clear and simple. We came from my S/O’s house and so I had to run some laundry and Mackenzie was super helpful when I couldn’t figure it out. My only complaint is the floor in the sauna was mildly uncomfortable to stand on, but that can be easily avoided with shower shoes or flip flops :)

We had a great stay. It was very roomy and home like. We had a couple nice home cooked meals in the cabin. This is a great place to stay if you enjoy outdoor activities like we do. Only an hour drive from the Porcupine Mountains. During our down time our family enjoyed the board games and cards.

Oh my! Where do I start? Joy’s place what such a wonderful and peaceful retreat for my two daughters and I. I appreciated the clean, neat, and comfortable decor, well-stocked kitchen and coffee/tea bar!! The beds and linens were very comfortable and really appreciated the fans in each room. We had a blast hiking the area and can’t wait to come back to hike some more because it’s absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend Syl’s in town! Can’t say enough good things about our trip. Thank you, Joy!

Absolutely stunning stay. Nestled right on Lake Superior and just minutes from the Porcupine Mountains, this place felt like a hidden gem. No service meant total unplugged peace…just the sound of waves, the breeze through the trees, and endless stars at night. The sunsets were spectacular, the kind that make you stop mid-sentence just to soak it all in. Honestly not sure how they got lucky enough to own such a magical spot, but I’m so grateful they share it. The cabin was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a perfect offgrid escape. Would come back in a heartbeat.
