Quirky self-contained Chalet 'Little Switzerland’

Chalet in the grounds of a large garden in the beautiful Peak District village of Youlgrave (good pubs & shops). Spectacular walks on doorstep. My mother was Swiss German and she had a large greenhouse made into the Chalet in 1992. In 2017 we fully renovated this quirky building. Easy parking, twin beds with new high quality firm memory foam mattresses in 2020, no smoking, ONE dog friendly. Outside seating We have a gorgeous friendly golden retriever. infrared sauna is available at extra cost

New Build in the heart of the Peak District - Youlgrave, nr Bakewell. Plenty of private parking. (No pets - sorry). 200 yards from the Limestone Way. A walk in any direction is beautiful. 3 pubs within 10 mins walk all serve food. Peak feast bakery for cakes, bread, coffee, homity pies and delicious vegetarian food. A well-stocked village shop with cafe for all other needs, a licensed post office, a park and playing fields are all 5 mins walk away. Fantastic views from your 'studio' bedroom.

This is an ideal location for a holiday in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Tweedledum Cottage is an antique one bedroom dwelling, perfect for a romantic break for two. Pets are welcome (downstairs only). The cottage is in the village of Youlgreave, surrounded by beautiful countryside, with Chatsworth fifteen minutes’ drive away and Haddon Hall closer still. There is lovely walking from the cottage, both along Bradford Dale and Lathkill Dale. There are excellent pubs minutes' walk away.

The place is lovely, it was spotlessly clean and the finish of the house was beautiful. The host had thought of everything and there wasn’t anything we didn’t have, she was lovely and communicated with us well. The location is great, just a few minutes away from Bakewell in the car and the village is lovely and quiet. Would highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Kingfisher Cottage whilst visiting family. Matt was very responsive and helpful and provided several local recommendations. The location of the cottage next to the river is perfect for a peaceful drink in the evening and our 4 year old enjoyed paddling and watching the cows. Thank you Monika and Matt for a wonderful stay - we'll be back!

We loved staying in this little place! Such a fabulous location and was really handy to have our own parking space. It was decorated very nicely and the kitchen was very well equipped. It comfortably fit 7 adults and was very cosy. Did get a bit hot upstairs in the evenings and there weren’t any fans but it was very manageable. Would highly recommend a stay here! Only wish we could’ve stayed a little bit longer

Bakewell charming cosy quarryman's cottage

Having previously stayed at Faye’s beautiful cottage, nestled in lovely Bakewell, I found out what a wonderful attentive host (and person) she is, and how perfect the place was for my needs. I knew I would definitely return! This time I was lucky enough to have the whole cottage to myself as she was away, and I can’t recommend her home highly enough. Comfortable and beautifully appointed, spacious main bedroom, plus a lovely second bedroom with a sofabed that could be used to accommodate two more guests, or use it as I did, as a sofa and extra space to relax. The lounge is so warm and welcoming, and there is a lovely bathroom with a full size bath and shower, and everything you could need in the well-equipped kitchen. There is a lovely spot to sit out the front with a cuppa (it is SO peaceful there you can only hear the birds), and it’s only a 5 minute walk into the centre of town. Parking is on the main road just a few steps away, and Bakewell is fantastically located for Chatsworth.
