Memories by the River. New Dog Friendly Retreat #1

Very clean with all the basic necessities. I left a couple items accidentally and they reached out to let me know, so they’re also honest. Loved the remote small location. Would definitely come back. Thank you for sharing you fun and comfortable place!

The Spare Room

Unique and fun place to stay in a beautiful valley with incredibly friendly locals. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well equipped, and the gathering spots fun. Would go back in a heartbeat.

"Ravens Wing"with Babette

rebeccaRating, 5 stars107 months ago
A more gracious and welcoming hostess cannot be found.. Babette greeted us warmly with her incredibly well behaved pooches in tow. Our room was immaculate and perfectly attired. Ravens Wing is a artistic delight--filled with Babette's original art, and collections. The house itself is an architectural masterpiece that offers a 360 degree astounding view of the valley and mountains. One feels like old friends at mealtime which for us consisted of elk roast, chicken stuffed with sundries tomatoes, spinach & a touch of goat cheese, wrapped in bacon and grilled over the open fire by Babette hermself. Breakfast was equally delightful with home-made granola, fresh fruits (yes, figs too!), Greek yogurt, scones and two yummy German coffee cakes. This is not a typical B&B as much as it is an experience--from the moment you turn onto the entry road until the last wave goodbye. Filled with fun, convivial sharing of conversation, visual stimuli and great cuisine, this is a MUST for anyone visiting the greater Boise-Pendleton area. We shall be back, without any doubt, to enjoy more of this wonderful retreat and charming hostess!

My family really enjoyed staying here. The place is very clean, and comfortable. We felt right at home! The view was beautiful and it was so close to our fishing destination. The deck was great for stargazing, and hanging out. The Hosts we're very nice, and accommodating.

Full RV hookups in beautiful Pine Valley

MaliaRating, 5 stars35 months ago
Enjoyed Staying at the Quail Run RV / Tent grounds. The guest bathroom and shower are in the green double door garage building to the left when you drive in. It was locked when I got there - a miscommunication with the key, but Rachel directed me to use the (rentable?) RV. They were easy to access and clean; water was hot. Before you arrive, have them clarify which RV spot (if you’re renting one for electricity use like I did, although I was car camping). She’ll text you the WiFi after you check in. I felt very safe, and it was quiet even with the road so close. There’s not much traffic in that area. I ate at The Main Place for dinner and Wild Bill’s for breakfast - both delicious! There’s a grocery store, a mercantile store, a pizza place, and a hardware / outdoors store, as well as a gas station all in that little town of Halfway. Take the time to walk around the little square area - totally worth it. It was a curvy but easy drive to Hell’s Canyon Dam ( where I took a jet boat tour). Along the road to the dam there are a few hiking trails to the right up into the hills. I adventured on Kenny CR Trail - gorgeous views along a roaring creek, but the trail is poorly maintained and has a steep drop on the side most of the time. If you’re sure footed, you’ll be fine. Staying at the Quail Run RV was perfect for this little weekend adventure!

Memories by the River. New Dog Friendly Retreat #4

Such a great option to have when staying in Huntington to visit family! The house was super cute, very clean, COOL (which was great, it was a very hot weekend), and is basic but charming. Lots of space and the hosts were super accommodating and responsive all weekend. We plan to stay there again next year during our annual pilgrimage to Huntington, as the price is right and the digs are comfortable.
