Cottage vacation rentals in Ravenscar

This was a very cosy cottage in a great location. We chose Pickering as it was very central to all the places we wanted to see in North Yorkshire (Moors, Coast), everything was within a short drive (from 10 to 35 mins), so the location is perfect, with so much to see around the area. The cottage itself is very quaint and cosy and has everything you need. We used the hot tub a few times and this was a nice treat. The host, Tim, was extrememely helpful and helped us with parking information etc. We would definitely recommend this place. It is great for visiting the North Yorkshire moors, some pretty village nearby (Thornton Le Dale, Hutton le Hole, Helmsley) also Eden Camp, Ampleforth Abbey, Nunnington Hall, Ryedale Folk museum, as well as Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay on the coast. We stopped in York on the way up but thought we could have easily stayed here longer and done a couple of day trips to York.

Had a lovely weekend at this cottage for my partner’s birthday. Hot tub was gorgeous, even better in the rain. House was beautiful and having the chickens running around outside was fabulous. Marisa was the perfect host. Answered questions quickly and was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend a stay in this lovely cottage.

3 Railway Cottage is a fantastic base to explore the amazing beauty of North Yorkshire. The cottage is located a 20 minute walk from the centre of Pickering but is in a really quiet and private location. The only exception of course is the opportunity to wave at the heritage railway trains that pass at the back of the cottage a few times a day which is really amazing, especially if you wave from the comfort of the hot tub! I can’t recommend this location highly enough, it is a really comfortable and well equipped cottage in a fantastic location - what more could you ask for?

We had a lovely weekend the games room is a perfect touch. A very well equipped cottage. the books and wide selection of board games is a lovely touch. Hot tub is a really good size. The hosts are welcoming and on hand. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Walking the surrounding area from the house was great and very near to a pub and tearoom which both served great food. The hot tub was an added bonus!

Lovely relaxing cottage with everything we needed. Very cosy and relaxing setting with great views from back windows. Enclosed garden for dog or children. Hot tub was a great perk which was well used by us. Rillington village within 10 min walk which had a small shop and a nice pub ( the fleece). Tips for other travellers The fleece in rillington has a nice garden of weather nice and the food was nice too and dog friendly Ham and cheese which is a 5 minute drive the food was very good and dog friendly too although probably too far to walk Lots of walks nearby, we went to dalby Forrest, mallyham spout in goathland and Levisham near Pickering New Connie’s Chinese in malton was also very good

Amazing Stay at The Old Potting Shed! This break was a last minute booking for us and really exceeded our expectations. The old potting shed is a beautiful accommodation, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The hosts James and Rachel could not have been more responsive or more friendly. I had mentioned it was my birthday and the property was decorated with balloons, chocolates and prosecco. We had fresh eggs in the morning from their hens which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Every utensil you could think of was provided, it really was a little home from home! Location was just a short drive into York but there are some nice walks nearby. We also enjoyed the local village pub which was just at the end of the long driveway, food and drinks were delicious. Overall I’m so glad we found this place, it’s a credit to the hosts. We have recommended to family and friends and can’t wait to return. Thanks again for your hospitality James & Rachel x

We have had a lovely holiday. We found the bungalow to be very clean, the sofas and beds were very comfortable and there was everything we needed for our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better location , sitting in the garden or in the sunroom listening to the waves made for a very relaxing holiday. Lisa was a great host and we hope to return soon.

The coziest Airbnb I have ever stayed it. It was perfect!!!!! Lovely cottage. Cozy beds. Amazing bathroom. Great location. I would give this Airbnb 6/5 stars if I could.

Warm and comfortable cottage. It was obvious the Jenny had given a lot of thought into how the cottage was set up. The kitchen had all the basics needed for preparing meals. Tea, coffee and some nice biscuit and a welcome bottle of wine. The lounge was cosy and there were files of useful information about the house and the local area. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had lots of essentials, the shower was great and lots of hot water….there was also a bath. We had taken our bikes and it was great to have a summer house to store them in. The area was really quiet. We really enjoyed our weeks stay.

We loved our stay here as a family with two young children (toddler and under 1) and a dog. The location was perfect, with a short nip up the hill into town and so close to the beach. The house had everything we needed - Joe & Sarah made it very comfortable for us and easy to travel by providing a high chair and travel cot. Parking on the road (in June) was easy during the week, had to wait a little longer for a space close by at the weekend (but we always managed to get one). We hope to return when we visit Filey again.

We found 'Just Beachy' a lovely place to stay, it is close to everything Scarborough has to offer, clean and tidy, beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for a short break. Checking in was easy with the use of a lock box that was easily accessible. Would recommend.

Hill top cottage was amazing it was everything and more, the cottage had everything you needed for your stay. absolutely spotless well maintained, the views were amazing so peaceful, we really felt at home. we didn't want to leave.

We rented this place for a long weekend for Father’s Day. It was absolutely ideal for our needs. It is in walking distance to Scarborough’s front and provided some epic views out the window. Parking is at an absolute premium in Scarborough and while parking permits were provided, finding a place to park is a challenge. However we did manage to find a spot (probably didn’t help that we arrived quite late on a Friday evening). I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Scarborough and be right where everything is. It’s all a walkable distance.

Lisa’s sweet cottage is a world away from the world in a spectacular rural village. The trails in the local area lead to other spectacular places of scenic charm and beauty. Lisa is a lovely, welcoming host with a talent for providing comfortable accommodation with an artful flair. Our stay will be a cherished memory!

We had a fantastic time at Byre Cottage. The property was kept immaculate, with all the facilities one could ask for. The cottage was furnished to a great standard and we shall definitely be visiting again in the near future. Lisa and Graham were exceptionally friendly from the start, but allowed us our privacy while we were there. Lovely touch having local biscuits and milk on arrival. Linen and towels in the bedrooms were lovely and fresh. The water is supplied from a local spring, and was delicious, and power from solar panels. The view from the kitchen/lounge was amazing - cute goats, sheep and donkeys just outside the door, and views over the hills to the sea. Watching the sunrise was lovely. The "Scratching Post" games room was fun, with fresh eggs and drinks available to buy and a pool table. Bring 50p coins! Really close to lots of walks - either straight from the door to Boggle Hole, or a short drive from Falling Foss with a beckside forest walk. Close enough to drive to Whitby for fish and chips, or Thorpe Stores in Fylingthorpe for a fresh bacon buttie from the friendly local shop. We'd love to come back and stay again.

We’ve just returned from a fantastic week at Jane’s cottage in Robin Hood’s Bay and couldn’t be happier. The cottage is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully equipped with everything a family could need. It was the perfect base for exploring the coast – peaceful, cosy, and full of charm. Jane was a wonderful host, and everything was spotless on arrival. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Five stars all the way – we’ll be back as soon as we can!

The house in Robin Hoods Bay provided the perfect place for a family holiday. Ideally located in the lower bay near to the beach. Parking nearby a real bonus. It was more spacious than expected and characterfully decorated. The top floor boat bed was a delight. The well equipped kitchen allowed enjoyable meal preparation. Good quality bed linen and towels. If returning to RHB wouldn’t look to stay anywhere else.

Beautiful relaxing spot… everything you could need and fine detail paid to requirements .. a real home from home. Christmas decorations were subtle, gorgeous real fir tree with twinkly lights and a cosy warm log burner…Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again!

Lovely little place and in a beautiful area in the middle of nowhere, so very relaxing which is what we were after.

Barbaras place is stunning! We absolutely loved our stay here. such a peaceful and cosy place. We are already planning our next visit. Highly recommend this cottage.
