Very convenient location and beautiful and quiet setting. The thermal hot tub was a fun treat we enjoyed. We had all the accommodations we needed to cook our meals and for comfortable sleeping. We would stay here again!

Anna was the most kind host I’ve ever stayed with. When I travel back to Iceland I will be looking to stay at one of her properties ❤️. Everything was gorgeous, clean, and such nice quality. Totally worth booking! We also got to see the northern lights here and they were unreal !!!

Great little cabin near all the main attractions on the south coast! We really appreciated the great blackout curtains in the cabin. A few pictures from the blue cabin Airbnb listing did not match the cabin. It did not have blue chairs and the bathroom picture was not accurate. Still a nice cabin and good location!

We had a lovely time staying here while exploring the south of Iceland! I'd point out that the outside of the cabin looks pretty old and worn out, but the inside is very cosy and modern. The hot tub was a hit and the location was close to the main attractions like Seljalandsfoss, Reynisfjara and more! The information on Airbnb wasn't always up to date with things like the code to the lockbox, but the host answered immediately when we called her so it wasn't a problem. Also inside the cabin there's a instruction sheet on the wall and it had the correct WiFi password and so on. All in all I'd definitely recommend staying here and I would stay here again!!

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt bei Rakel. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und gut ausgestattet. Besonders der hot tub ist nach einem langen Sightseeing Tag wunderbar zum entspannen. Vielen Dank!

Just a lovely place to enjoy feeling in the country; we arrived to the most beautiful view of horses grazing in the pasture behind the cabin with the volcano in the distance. While you are in the country, the directions Agust gave are easy to follow and you are just a few minutes off Hwy 1, and close to the nearest town. The shower area in the barn is quite large and nice. While the beds were too soft for us, all in all we just loved our 2-night stay here!

Nous avons adoré notre dernière halte chez Àgúst! Le logement qu’il propose est paisible à souhait, la vue est magnifique et ceux qui aiment les chevaux seront enchantés 🤩. C’est propre, ça sent bon , c’est douillet et authentique : un air Bnb comme on les aime. Merci Àgúst !

This is a brand new place that is therefore spotlessly clean inside. The location is really great, beautiful views. It’s cozy, there’s no bedside table or lamps but it fit our party of five just fine and makes a good stopover for anyone visiting the south coast. What really stood out is the value! At one of the more reasonably priced places it’s a really good deal. One thing to note is that because it’s so new there are no other cooking items except salt pepper olive oil, instant coffee, tea and sugar. Any other basics you need, including spices for cooking, you will need to bring them with you! And there is no microwave (maybe they are planning to add one, again our unit looked like it had literally just been finished). The host was very communicative and even adjusted our check in a little earlier due to our changing travel plans, which we appreciated.

Gunnar met us right away and offered a warm friendly welcome. You can tell he takes pride in his cottages and he thought of every small touch, including Icelandic chocolate. It’s a nice location away from the hustle but close by local sightseeing spots. We couldn’t picked a better spot to close out our ring road tour.

Die Unterkunft von August ist auf seinem Bauernhof. August wohnt selbst dort in einem separaten Haus. Du bist dort umgeben von Pferdekoppeln und Feldern. Wer also seine Ruhe vom stressigen Alltag sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Die Hütten hatten alles was man benötigt. Nicht jede Hütte verfügt über eine Dusche. Die findest du dann aber in der benachbarten Scheune. Für uns war soweit alles super, August antworte immer zeitnah. Wir haben wir uns bei ihm wohl gefühlt und waren froh, dass wir dort Zeit verbringen durften.

This place was perfect for our family with two teenagers. They played with the dogs and we went for a long hike. Definitely check out the hiking path… it’s INCREDIBLE!

Nous avons adoré la tranquilité et l'environnement de la maison ! Depuis la maison, nous pouvions voir les chevaux, les chats et le chien de la ferme, en plus des montagnes au loin (et même de la chute Seljalandfoss). La maison était très propre et confortable. L'hôte a pu répondre rapidement à mes questions ! J'ai vu dans les commentaires précédents des remarques concernant le chauffage et l'eau chaude. Effectivement, le chauffage se limite à deux chaufferettes, mais elles ont été amplement suffisantes pour garder toute la maison au chaud. Concernant l'eau chaude, en faisant attention, nous n'avons eu aucun soucis à ce niveau (on évite les longues douches ;) !). Je recommande donc sans hésiter :) !

Der Aufenthalt war sehr gut. Wir wurden schon bei der Ankunft vom Familienhund begrüßt. Die Unterkunft hat eine Top Lage, ist neu und die Ausstattung sieht auch sehr neu aus. Unser Highlight war definitiv der Hund der uns schon am Morgen begrüßt hat und mit uns spielen wollte. Dadurch haben wir fast den Check Out verpasst, aber das wäre es wert gewesen. Wenn ich wieder nach Island komme, dann mache ich definitiv wieder einen Stopp hier.

Beautiful cabin. Extremely clean and comfortable. Exactly as described in pictures. Great location and very quite. Fantastic host who is very responsive. We locked ourselves out and she was there in minutes to let us in and save us from the freezing weather. Highly recommend and will stay there again. Thank very much for a wonderful experience.

Stayed here two nights and it was the highlight of our Iceland trip! Hordur was incredibly helpful and communicative and the stay was absolute magic. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Iceland
