Double bed in the bedroom and a sofa in the living room. The outdoor sauna is heated for an additional fee. The apartment is located in a quiet area, 8km from the center. The rest of the building is for the host's own use, with dogs and chickens strutting around on their side of the yard. In the yard there is room to stay and, for example, barbecue. It is also good for families with children.

Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

Rugged ladscape of ridges with beautiful natural trails gives you wonderful hiking opportunities and even a steep hill down to the sauna and lake is an adventure. At a yard, there's Lapplandse kota with grill in the middel and minikitchen, from spycies to electric stove, you wash your dishes outside and have pure springwater to use. In shed and cellar you find all other stuff needed.

Experience the true traditional Finnish lake cottage life. This log cottage was built in the 1800's with hand carved logs. It is located on a beautiful lake shore with fantastic views. Here you can enjoy nature and total silence and peace just a 10 min. car drive from Savonlinna centre. You have a good chance of spotting the endangered Saimaa ring seal, often swimming in front of the cottage. Both the cottage and the sauna are just a few meters from the lake shore. Good 4G connection!

The compact house has a fold-out sofa downstairs and two beds upstairs. A spacious sauna is a joy to relax in and has washing amenities. A large terrace has a barbecue grill and a dining table, where you can enjoy stunning views of the lake while enjoying your food. The outhouse is situated next to the main building.

A cozy cottage between pines and the lake just in 2 steps from Saimaa. It is quite small inside (30 square meters) with a big open terrace and a green lawn in front of it. There are a Loft bed for 2 people with a view, a small kitchen, fireplace, sauna on woods inside the cabin. It is great to start your day from early swimming and yoga/breakfast at the terrace listening to birds songs and finish your day with a glass of wine taking pictures of a stunning sunset.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property, and I can't say enough good things about it! The highlight of our stay was definitely the cute sauna house, which provided a perfect way to relax and unwind. The private entrance to the lake was another fantastic feature, offering serene and beautiful views right at our doorstep and a memorable experience of swimming in the lake after the Sauna. The host was incredibly responsive and attentive to all our needs, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The entire experience was smooth and enjoyable.

A spacious living area features large windows allowing natural light to fill the room. A comfortable sofa faces a dining table surrounded by white chairs. Wooden paneling and recessed lighting create a calming vibe, complemented by views of the surrounding greenery.

Great place for larger group with kids. Clean, spacious and beautiful surrounding. We had an amazing stay at jani’s place.

The cottage was in a great location, very cozy and cozy. The windows opened up to views of Puruvesi. The heat of the furnace welcomed us, and it was nice to have a fire during our stay. The trees in both the oven and sauna were ready. The sauna was atmospheric and the steam was gentle, you could easily cool off on the deck. The kitchen was well-equipped, found everything you need. The beds and bedding were pleasant. Mikko communicated actively and kindly, making us feel welcome. I'm sure you can warmly recommend this place for a break from everyday life in all seasons. I think we'll visit again.

Very nice place in a fantastic location, absolutely quiet right on the lake! Easy and very friendly check-in (despite late arrival at 9 PM) with personal reception by the host's father. There was everything necessary for a cozy and relaxing vacation by the lake (rowboat and SUP, outdoor kitchen, terrace, sauna, hot pot, etc.). The Wi-Fi also works perfectly. We spent 12 wonderful vacation days and can fully recommend the accommodation and the host.

A wooden sauna interior features smooth benches built against the walls, designed for relaxation. Soft lighting creates a calming atmosphere, highlighting the natural wood grain. A small decorative figure sits on one of the shelves, adding a personal touch to the space.

We had a wonderful time at Maarit's! The lakeside location was fantastic, the cottage contained everything you need for the time at a Finnish lake and Maarit was extremely friendly, gave us tips for the area and even helped us when we had problems with the rental car. Thank you for everything!
