Vacation rentals with beach access in Port-des-Barques

We spent a very enjoyable week in Valerie's apartment. She and her husband welcomed us at the door even though our flight was delayed. A gift of brioche , orange juice and a locally produced aperitif was a nice touch. The apartment is spotlessly clean and has everything one could possibly need. it was really quiet in spite of being on the Quai which is a hive of activity. She replied to any communication within minutes. Highly recommended.

Perfectly located appartment, and the garage is a huge advantage. Very nice place to stay at, close to everything, and easy to get in/out. I would not recommended it if you have small kids. There is some safety issues like the stairs, windows, plugs, and furniture that can fall.

Breathtaking view of the sea and a beautiful old tree at sunrise and sunset. Very clean and functional accommodation. Easy check-in and checkout thanks to the lockbox and communication with Clémence. We would recommend it in a second.

A very nice apartment overlooking the harbor entrance - located between the Ketten and Laternenturm. The property is located in a beautiful old house made of white limestone. The apartment was well ventilated by many skylights and the slopes make the apartment very charming. There are a variety of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, a beach is 5 minutes away and downtown La Rochelle is also a few minutes away. We arrived by train and did a lot on foot or by rental bike. The property is also within walking distance of the train station.

We had a great time at Anne's, who is a very responsive host. The location of the apartment is ideal, quiet, 2 steps from the ocean. Right next to the apartment is a Spa Restaurant Hotel where we were able to eat, the meal and service are excellent, and the terrace offers an incredible view of the ocean.

The apartment is very well located, at the foot of the Tour de la Lanterne, a stone's throw from the old port and 5 minutes from the beach of La Concurrence. The place is ideal for walking, cycling (self-service station nearby) and for taking the bus boats to the aquarium or the Port des Minimes. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the train station.

A very central and comfortable apartment on the first floor. The location at the market and close to good coffee shops and restaurants is perfect. The kitchen is well equipped, a nice shower and use of a plug in fan for hot evenings. The second bedroom is smaller but we didn’t use this. Baby facilities of a cot, changing table etc also very useful. Thank you Clotilde!

Carmen is a great host, very responsive, helpful and friendly. Her place is fab, in a great location by the lagoon. As two families we enjoyed the privacy of the ensuite room with separate entrance. Having another ensuite and separate bathroom worked well for us. The main space with a little kitchen area at the back was well used too, opening out onto the terraces with ever changing views of the sea and amazing sunsets. The only issue, out of our host's control, was the bugs - mosquitoes weren't repelled by our repellent or deterred by long clothes, and the gnats and wasps were also persistent during the sunny weather. La Plage restaurant, two doors along, is welcoming for drinks and great seafood. There is an obstacle course and exercise route just along the prom for the kids as well as a baguette machine and another restaurant which rarely seemed to be open! Lidl, E Leclerc and Intermarche are within 10 mins drive. La Rochelle and Cognac within 1 hour. We would happily return.

The accommodation is perfect for a stay as a couple. The beach is barely a 2-minute walk and shops are also a 5-minute walk. Great place to park the car and enjoy. Everything is as described with quality equipment. I would highly recommend it!

Nice place to stay within walking distance of a mini golf course and one of the beaches of Fouras. To access the city center and the Grande Plage doable on foot but also by car place available. Perfect for a couple with a child The owner is very responsive and offered us things that were happening in Fouras

Quiet and very pleasant stay, the accommodation was perfect for 4, we discovered the surroundings by bike as well as by car. We highly recommend it to those looking for a peaceful place and close to nature.

Isabelle was extremely welcoming, available and accommodating upon arrival. The accommodation is ideally located in a peaceful setting and at the same time close to amenities. Everything was perfectly clean and tidy. There was even enough to make a hearty breakfast, a charming touch. Isabelle took the time to explain the walks, restaurants, and must-sees of this beautiful island. We highly recommend this very nice host. We'll be happy to go back

One of the few places in Fouras where you can come with your pets (we had two). Thanks for hosting us with our two small children and two dogs. Availability during our arrival was very much appreciated (information, schedule...) Very good location between beach and city center. We'll be happy to go back!

Beautiful apartment, fabulous views (even from the shower!), and delightful little private beach - where our kids enjoyed playing while we played boules on the lawn above. Lovely walk into the old port, either along the beach path, or inland along the beautiful grassy avenue. Great restaurants in the town, although we enjoyed most meals at home so we could make the most of the fantastic views. A wonderful stay!

Amazing apartment on the port front in La Rochelle, with great views and in the centre of this very walkable town. Lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby. Apartment was clean and tidy with everything you need, including for travelling with a baby. Highly recommended!

Great welcome, clean apartment

We had a lovely stay at Valerie's apartment. Tastefully decorated, we were pleasantly surprised by all the little touches and equipment. Great location, we were able to do anything on foot. Living during the day but quiet at night. Not insignificant little more: private parking in a city where all spaces are paid. I recommend it. Looking forward to coming back to this little cocoon.

Sandrine, thank you so much!! The accommodation is niquel, balcony overlooking the sea. A dedicated parking space and then, after all, is on foot. I highly recommend if you want to spend a disconnected evening facing the sea!!
