David and Leslie are the kindest and most welcoming of hosts. They made me feel at home immediately, and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were very willing to accommodate my requests, and it was lovely to enjoy their hospitality in the garden. Their generosity was evident in the LWH - ensuring there were things for breakfast and a drink (even ice cold water in the fridge) to lovely cosmetics in the bathroom. And the LWH was spotless, beautifully kitted out and the bed was very, very comfortable. I had everything I needed for my short stay, and if I had needed something, I was reassured that all I should do was to ask. The LWH is a great place to stay to explore this part of Essex and is highly recommended. Thank you David and Leslie for all that you did to make my stay a memorable one.

I stayed for a week on a short walking holiday and family visit. The flat is ideally situated and maintained in great condition. Facilities were totally adequate and Catharine was a good and responsive host. I appreciated the folder of local walks and places to eat that Catharine had left. Delightful to meet the host and his wife. Great place for walks. Walked to the Fox and Hounds on Richard's recommendation for dinner. Sat in the garden for aperitif felt as though in France. Fresh flowers added gesture. Everything required for a delicious breakfast. Great fresh coffee for the cafetiere. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a tranquil beautiful place to stay in this area. Thank you.
