Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Northern Europe

We had an absolutely amazing time at Daniela’s place - it was clean, had stunning views and was quick access to Pisa, Florence & Siena. Beautiful pool and lovely terrace with amazing views and sunsets. The kitchen also had everything we needed, including local olive oil and pasta & local wine as a welcoming gift. Daniela went above and beyond providing us with lilos and a pump for the pool too. Overall, 10/10 stay!

We had a lovely stay at Tethera Nook with our dog Luna! Emma and Craig were brilliant and it was lovely to see them working so hard on their gorgeous garden while we were there! It provided a lovely place to sit with a drink in the mornings! Their very friendly dog Capone always happy to come and say hello! It felt very private the whole week, walking distance to Kendal town, and we even hiked up to Scouts Scar which was recommended in the guide book (the views definitely did not disappoint). Tethera nook had everything we needed for our stay and with it being extremely hot the fan was an added bonus in keeping us and our dog cool! The eggs and veg that Emma leaves out is incredible and the little gifts of brownies, gin and jams on our arrival kept us going for the whole week! Everything was just perfect for our relaxing week away in the lakes, with close links to the rest of the national park! We would absolutely stay here again!

My husband and I, plus our French Bulldog, had the pleasure of staying here for just over 3 weeks. Immediately felt like home, and host family had everything to do with that! Highly recommend. stunning views, fabulous location and some of the most gracious people I've ever met.

Un mot : merveilleux La vue est tout simplement à couper le souffle. L'emplacement est idéal pour se déplacer sur le reste de l'île, tout en profitant du calme et de la sérénité du quartier. Semi et Benjamin nous ont très bien accueillis et ont ont eu pour nous de jolies attentions tout au long de notre séjour. Nous recommandons a 100% ce logement, sans aucun doute une de nos plus belles expériences sur air bnb. Merci encore !

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in der Casa Tilde in Dervio! Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet und perfekt gelegen – nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß zum See und zu den wichtigsten Geschäften und Restaurants. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Gastgeber: Die Kommunikation war von Anfang an super freundlich und extrem hilfsbereit. Bei Fragen oder kleinen Anliegen konnten wir ihn jederzeit unkompliziert über Chat erreichen und bekamen immer sofort eine Antwort. Das hat uns ein sehr sicheres und willkommenes Gefühl gegeben. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen – absolute Empfehlung!

Fantastic views of lake and mountains from every room, patio and balcony. Great location/easy access to all attractions in the Berner Oberland area with all the amenities needed. Highly recommend!

The host was super responsive. Lovely place, very spacious. Up on the hill of Kas, and the balcony can look into the sea.

Ziet er exact hetzelfde uit als op foto. Netjes en alles is in de buurt. Virginia reageert altijd snel, duidelijk en is super vriendelijk. Zeker een aanrader!

The instructions for self check-in is a little lengthy, but detailed. I had a hard time finding the mailbox because the name was faded, but overall check-in and check-out is very easy. The place was clean and organized - although a picture frame that was taped to the wall fell off in the middle of the night and startled me. Other perks of this place is the bakery at the corner (the pistachio and raspberry croissant were amazing there)! This place is spacious and conveniently located next to T9 for transportation and a short walk away from Bus 132.

Ich habe bei Lion eine Nacht spontan gebucht. Alles sehr unkompliziert gelaufen. Die Wohnung ist schön eingerichtet, sauber und liegt in guter Lage direkt am Bahnhof und an einem größeren Rewe.

I booked the flat for a short work trip and was really impressed. It was spotless when I arrived and had a homely feel, much better than staying in a hotel. The kitchen had all the essentials, and the Smart TV and fast Wi-Fi made the evenings relaxing. Easy walk to the station and shops. I’d definitely stay again if I’m working in the area.

Paola’s studio apartment is perfect for a couple. The communications from arrival to departure, the location, the amenities and suggestions were spot on. The breakfast treats she left for us were delicious. Unique to Paola’s apartment were travel tips from the apartment to sights of interest in little boards by the door so planning our journeys ended up being really easy. While it is a little out of town, getting around was really easy as the area is well connected with buses, metro and train. Termini was reachable in just over 20 minutes, and Fiumicino was just under an hour away. There are gems of cafes, gelatarias, restaurants etc as well as supermarkets all within a stone’s throw. Our favourites were Il Gelataria, MiMo cafe (both directly opposite the main entrance to the apartment), Pizza chef for award winning pinsere, and Les Amis wine bar for aperitivo. A perfect stay in Florence. Mattia’s house is not only perfectly located with an amazing terrace but so welcoming with lovely relaxing spaces with incredible views , extremely comfortable beds, and attention to all those small details that make a stay special. We throughly enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend to others.

Morningstar is a beautiful place to stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The location could not be better. It is right across the canal from The Ann Frank house. There are many wonderful cafes and restaurants nearby. The hosts have thought of everything. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Eugenia was a wonderful host - she went above and beyond to help us with our car parking. She gave a brief and welcoming orientation to the property and made us feel very welcome. I was visiting for a conference and my fiancée felt safe in the area when she was alone and very secure in the property. If you are traveling to Florence I recommend trying to avoid bringing a car - the city is better done on foot, but there are some parking garages nearby for 30-40€/ day if, like us, you arrived by car. Wonderful stay, cute apartment, great area. Enjoy!

It’s a no brainer to stay here. Fully immersed in the lake. Moon light at night on the water and during the day you watch classic boats. You’re on the quiet part of the lake and arguably the most beautiful part of it as we drove the whole lake for 5 days. You’re surrounded by Italians and more engaged with Italian culture here. You’re a 25min drive to Menaggio where you can car ferry. Car is highly recommended. I would go to a larger supermarket prior to coming as there only seemed to be mini limited markets around.

This is the most restorative and peaceful place ever! Our 3rd year back. Sadly only 2 days were open, otherwise we would have stayed for much longer. Excellent host, and amazing views. Best place we have stayed.

had a great one night stay so we could explore como after a stay in milan, it was a 20 ish minute walk to the lake and the apartment itself was tastefully decorated - we felt right at home immediately!

Our first time in Rome, & we definitely lucked out on choosing to stay here. The location is superb with all of Romes attractions within 20 mins walk. For being so central the apartment is so peacefully quiet. Honestly this is one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed in, & we have been fortunate to stay in some great places. Thx for accommodating us we had the most wonderful time. Ciao Chris & Jules
