The Bothy is a self-contained wooden cabin on the edge of our own woodland at West Cottage and Stables, nestling in the heart of Glen Lyon and at the beginning of many excellent walks and cycle rides. There's a double bed, extra bed, luxury bathroom, and wood burning stove. Most guests choose self-catering (there's a hob, fridge, and everything you need to cook with) at our base price. We can provide breakfast (£7.50 per person) and/or a dinner (£20 per person) if you'd prefer.
“We stayed two nights in the bothy and had very peaceful enjoyable stay. The surroundings are magnificent and the bothy was as described and has everything you need for a remote getaway. It was very toasty too and the bed was ultra comfy. We took plenty of supplies and entertainment and hiked up the hill behind the property and surrounding areas, the was no need to go find a phone signal or leave this beautiful spot but it would also be a great base for the surrounding area. We woke up to bird song in the morning, met some deer on the trial and even saw a stoat! Thanks to Tim and Judy for hosting us and our wee cat Uma. We highly recommend this spot.”
Mawddach Cabin situated above the famous Mawddach estuary in the Snowdonia National Park. Hot tub with breath taking views and access to a private beach Pets allowed Very private and only 3-4mile drive from seaside town Barmouth Hot tub will be situated on a balcony overlooking the sea
“What a great experience! First time we had stayed in a pod. It was really cosy and with the radiator on it didn't feel like a log cabin at all! It was fun cooking on a gas stove and when I daftly thought we had run out of gas, Ali very sweetly directed me to "look under the sink" and there were plenty more. Her husband even came and brought us more! We were well looked after and very cosy. The hot tub was an absolute treat! Never felt so relaxed in my life. Sadly couldn't use it the next day as the winds were pretty strong but we expected that in March. For dog owners, it's worth bearing in mind that the sheep roam freely so keep the dog on a lead. We had no problems at all but just thought it might be good to know. Thank you for a brilliant experience!”
Ravissant chalet cosy, dans un endroit très sauvage et insolite, multiples randonnées sur place
“We had a fantastic stay at the cabin (even though the weather wasn't cooperating). The cabin is well appointed, two large beds, with whimsical touches everywhere. Her property itself is large with tables, chairs, lounges and hammocks in multiple locations to enjoy nature. In addition, you can easily go on long walks in the beautiful surrounding national forest. Natalie is an amazing host. She picked us up at the train station and even took us to the grocery store to get supplies for making our meals (the cabin does have all the basics like tea, coffee, sugar, salts, spices, butter, oil). The kitchen is downstairs from the main living area. You can get to it either from outside or through a trapdoor in the floor of the cabin! We had a memorable stay! Thanks!”
