"The Lair" is a just recently renovated small 200 square foot cabin with vaulted ceilings and plenty of natural sunlight. The building is located close to Green Tree Coffee and Tea, a coffee roaster, so the aroma of coffee will be in the air. We located about 400 yards South of the Islesboro Ferry and Lincolnville Beach and 2.4 milres North of Camden Hills State Park and Mount Battie. Free coffee and tea everyday, all day! We are closed for Winter, will re-open Mid-April. Thank you.

Come enjoy the large back deck over looking the peaceful maine woods. The front door in about 50’ from the road, which can be busy at certain time of the day. There is 1 ring doorbell for everyone’s security outside the front door of the house.

We picked this cottage based on the pictures and being right on the shoreline with access to the beach. It did not disappoint. The cottage is exactly that, a small intimate cottage. Did it have everything- no. We weren’t looking for everything- that is why we chose the cottage. Perfectly nestled on the shoreline, we watched the tide come and go, dashed to the beach at low tide to pick through amazingly smoothed stones. The cottage is situated right between Rockland and Camden - each 5 minutes away. This gave us great es t access to some amazing restaurants for dining. Highly recommend this cottage for a quick getaway.

We had a wonderful stay at John’s place, house was clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed for a month stay. Private and beautiful surroundings, responsive and friendly host, and a great location to explore Maine and the upper east coast. Memories to last a lifetime! Would recommend anyone wanting to enjoy to coast of Maine to stay here and have a great time, so much to see and do. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Loved this nature find...we swam, we canoed, we fired up the campfire with s'mores galore...with pristine views! All as described and great thoughtful touches in the cabin and yard. We had a nature oasis here that was hard to leave...but we also had some fun finds locally with dinner across the pond at the stunning Toddy Pond Farm! And we meandered over to The Lost Kitchen shop which is only 20 mins away.

We had such an incredible time staying ay Jennifers. The cabin was so cozy, its truly is a Maine family summer cabin, you can feel all fun and good times that have been had there. It was perfectly accommodating given its rustic feel. The beach and surrounding woods are gorgeous and peaceful. We swam off the rocks every day and loved taking the paths between the cabins. And it is a perfect location between Blue Hill and Stonington, with the little enclave of Deer Isle down the road. But if we weren't so keen on exploring the Island, we would've never left the property. Truly a gem, we hope to be back!

Simply magical! Cozy and fun space. We enjoyed watching eagles and ospreys fish, seals pop their heads up, and even an adorable family of foxes from the comfort of the living room! Kitchen had all necessities for cooking most meals at home. A nice trail for walking down the road and an awesome beach where the kids threw stones and searched for seaglass each afternoon. We were all sad to leave!

Such a relaxing place. Best sleep we’ve had in a long time. It was very hard to leave. We really enjoyed the calm mornings and leaving the windows open in the bedroom to wake up to the birds chirping. Definitely will be back.
