Ocean Front Home in the Heart of Newport! This house is located by the bridge and the state park. It is only minutes of a walk to Nye Beach & the Newport Harbor.
“This house is great. It has plenty of room on a single level for multiple families to stay comfortably. There is even a pack and play and black out curtains if you are traveling with a little one. Beach access is easy. There are stunning ocean views from the house and the back deck. We loved having a fire while watching the sunset one evening. The kids loved the big claw foot bathtub and theater room. The kitchen had essentials we needed. We definitely hope to be back soon!”

“This is the second time we’ve stayed at Lou’s cabin and it’s definitely not the last. It’s such a beautiful space and with a gorgeous view of the water. It’s so nice to be able to open the sliding door and hear the waves crashing, but to have a secluded spot away from folks on the beach. On this trip, we decided to stay in and brought games and used the fire place quite a bit. The kitchen was perfect to make all of our meals the whole trip. Having Fred Meyer so close is also a big reason we love the cabin, especially because it feels so tucked away, but it’s still close to all that Newport has to offer. My boyfriend and I are big fans of Lou’s place and have told many of our friends of our amazing experience. I highly recommend!”
Come to historic Nye Beach! Our little cottage is a short walk to anything you want; the beach, Newport Performing Arts Center, brew pubs and restaurants, and an array of quaint boutiques. The cottage is simple but clean and self-contained. It has a super comfy queen bed (memory foam topper) in the bedroom and a full size futon in the living room (which comes with an extra pad for comfort). Buy groceries (the store is just a few blocks away) and cook your own meals in our fully equipped kitchen. Bring your dog, your kids or just yourselves for a relaxing beach get-away!
“Just as described. Walking distance to everything we wanted to do in Newport. 11 minute walk to Nye beach. 16 minute walk to the bayfront. There are hills in each direction, very characteristic for the area, so not exactly a leisurely walk. On and off street parking. The space is in what seems to be a converted garage. Ample space. Second hand furniture and wares were just fine for our needs. There were extra blankets. Only two regular pillows so I recommend bringing your own. We didn't bring our dog, but it was definitely dog friendly. There were no traces of pet fur or smell whatsoever. There were some dog toys and treats provided, which was very sweet. The heater is in the livingroom so the bedroom may get cold with the door closed. Same with bathroom. Everything you need to prepare full meals is provided. The folgers coffee and little snacks were a thoughtful touch. They even had a variety of seasonings and coconut oil pan spray. The tap water was good to drink. We accidentally fell asleep on the futon, which is not for the faint of heart. It's fine for kids and young people. Great movie selection for our cold nights in. From Harry Potter to 007. The only sound heard from nextdoor was water. Make sure to turn the dehumidifier on while you're gone. It makes a huge difference. It's one of the quieter ones I've heard. A lot of information in the binder for anything locally you'd want and need from food to entertainment. We will stay here again and recommend to friends.”
