Log cabin in the country. Quiet getaway where guests can simply relax away from the city lights and noise. 15 minutes from Salem, 30 minutes from Paoli Peaks, 45 minutes from French Lick Casino, 1 hour from Louisville. Several parks within an hour or less drive that offer fishing, swimming, hiking, caves, biking, and canoeing. Guests may enjoy the large 1 acre lawn and sit on the wrap around porch. We have a charcoal grill and fire pit that is perfect for cookouts and smores!

Everything was clean, stocked, well-kept, and incredibly beautiful, serene, and peaceful! It was so nice to be one with nature and to enjoy complete privacy with only the two of us. This trip, we were celebrating our 3 year anniversary and we were low on options of what to do, due to the pandemic outbreak. I am SO GLAD that we thought of coming back here! It was the perfect way to celebrate and didn't cost any more than it would have to go to dinner, movies, and buying flowers and cards! This cabin is the PERFECT getaway, ESPECIALLY while maintaining social distancing! I honestly can say that after our two trips here, this cabin will always hold a special place in our hearts and memories and we will DEFINITELY be back as soon as we can! P.s. the roaming farm dogs are a huge PLUS for the cabin! They are well-behaved, incredibly sweet, and VERY people-friendly! They were our best friends during our visit, but also didn't overstay their welcome!”

Join us in the family room, or on the front porch. Many guests enjoy having their morning coffee out on our front porch. With an easy 23m to downtown Louisville, 1.5 miles to Clark St Forest w/hiking trails,+ 20 acres to roam here with horses, hens, and ponds to walk around (or bring a pole to fish!) this is a great spot to relax and refresh.

The place was just what we expected and we were able to relax, watch TV, explore her property, and play with her super friendly dogs on site when we wanted. She has a beautiful farm she offered for us to explore and we pet the horses while enjoying the beautiful sites! It's definitely away from towns and traffic, so a quiet retreat is a good description! She was very kind and met us in person. Very personable. Highly recommend this little place as a retreat from the busyness of life!”
