“Andrew's apartment is just lovely! Very clean and well stocked with lots of clean towels and bedding and everything you could need in the kitchen. The property is close to train stations so very convenient for those who don't drive, and just around the corner from a Sainsbury's that's open late! Andrew's communication was excellent and he had provided lots of information in the house manual. I would say that the pictures don't quite do the property justice - it looks larger and more luxurious in reality. A very pretty, clean space in a great location. I would definitely return!”
Quaint and tastefully renovated 2 bedroom apartment, full of history and charm. It is one of the oldest buildings in New Mills and I'm lead to believe from my history lessons in school that this stoney building housed the cotton spinners from the mills back in the late 1700s! Just a stones throw from the Torrs Millennium Walk and the Sett Valley Trail. All amenities such as Sainsburys, Boots, The Crispy Cod Chippy, Local Pubs and Transport Links are all within a short walking distance.
“Jason and Kim are excellent hosts. They provided excellent check in instructions. The house is lovely, and felt very homely. It's clean and well equipped and very quiet. There's parking in the courtyard outside (quite narrow but doable) or a public car park 50 yards away. New Mills is round the corner, and Derbyshire and the Peak District close by. Highly recommend the house to anyone in the area!”
Built in 1877 Holford House is a traditional cottage, open plan living with a modernised kitchen. The 2 bedrooms, a king-size and a twin (bunks) share the family shower room. In the heart of New mills, an historic mill town, this cosy cottage on the edge of the Peak District National Park is within walking distance of all amenities and has stunning scenery and magnificent stately homes nearby. Outdoor pursuits abound and Manchester, Buxton and Sheffield are within easy reach by public transport.
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cottage and we would highly recommend it to travellers in this area-the cottage had everything that you would want and more, the location was perfect and New Mills is a very interesting place-there is a Heritage Museum to visit and some great walks around especially to the village of Hayfield-a big thanks to our hosts”
