We loved our stay at the house, it was a beautiful and serene home base for us to explore the Tasman area and John was an excellent and responsive host.

My family and I recently stayed at this wonderful home, and we were thoroughly impressed. The house is warm and charming, full of character, and the gardens are beautiful. One of the highlights was the direct access to the river walkway right from the front door, which made for lovely strolls and wonderful hikes. The location is unbeatable—close to local attractions, shopping, and dining—while still providing the feel of a tranquil retreat. The amenities were top-notch, and the hosts were attentive, ensuring every detail was perfect. If you’re a fan of Art Deco design and looking for a place that combines style and convenience, this home is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!

Lovely restored villa close to town in secluded street. Great section for our dog. Beds very comfortable, fully equipped kitchen. Good heating. Great host.

We loved our stay of 3 nights here, we were wanting somewhere a little out of town with peace and quiet and that’s exactly what we got. However only took us 12 mins drive to get into Motueka. Beautiful setting with lots of trees around but still nice and sunny. The house was immaculate inside and hosts had thought of and provided everything you could need. Especially loved that they allowed us to take our 2 dogs with us. Thanks so much! Can not fault a single thing, and would love to return next time we are back in Tasman area.

What a great spot. This is located directly across the street from the “Queens Gardens” and a quick 5 min walk to the downtown/CBD district. Restaurants are everywhere along with shopping and things to do. The house is to the rear of a duplex so you don’t hear any street noise and the backyard is very private and the patio is covered in case it rains. Very good price for everything you get and would highly recommend the location to anyone traveling to Nelson.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location. Easy walk to the beach. Views were amazing from the large deck and bedrooms. The house was so spacious and well equiped. Would definitely return.

Had a lovely stay, the house was very homely and had everything we needed. Very peaceful spot. Lisa was a fantastic host.

Peace, quiet and gorgeous surroundings sums up our stay. The swimming pool was perfect after a hot day and we could walk to a small cafe through the vineyards for early coffee. Also in walking distance shops providing all our needs and fresh fruit and vegetables locally grown with a really good cafe for lunches. Lars and Sam were perfect hosts and made us feel very much at home.

Great comfy house very comfortable for 2 families with young kids. Lots to do at the house plus close to activities and amenities.

Great place to stay overnight before getting the Picton ferry. Easy check in, great hospitality and really convenient location for what we needed!

It was a challenge to find a place that would fit our close family of 16 (adults and late teenagers) to celebrate the wedding of our daughter, but I am so pleased that we found Bay Ridge. We had a fantastic time , loved the gardens , the views and heaps of space. The short and scenic drive to Kaiteriteri beach was so easy as well as the walk to the delightful split apple rock and beach. It was such a pity that due to travel / arrangements we could not stay longer. Highly recommend the place and again thanx to Annie who is a fantastic host.

We had a fabulous stay, the house had everything we needed for a family of five, and more! Unfortunately the weather was too cold to use the pool but it looked like it would be amazing space for summer 🌞Couldn’t recommend the house more highly, lots of space, toys, comfortable beds and so tidy and clean.

Lovely place to stay with a friendly host. Not too far from Nelson and surrounding attractions but feels amazingly private and peaceful - and we loved being able to say hello to the cows! Pool was a great facility for hot summer afternoons and the cottage had everything we needed and nice spacious rooms.

Wonderful stay at Matt and Lucy's. the home was well appointed with everything we needed. the pool and the spa was very good and we felt super relaxed and comfortable here. would happily recommend.

Loved our stay, this would have to be the best equipped accommodation that I have stayed in. Cushla did everything she could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Highly recommended.

Our family stayed at Jp's home for about the week and a half. We found it inviting, functional and full of character, with its overall feel, eco friendly products, works of art and many plants indoors and outdoors (yummy tomatoes and spicy peppers, courgettes if you like them, and more). Whether it was making food, watching the telly playing games or relaxing with a book, it felt like a home away from home. Jp was responsive friendly and welcoming. It's been a lovely stay, we happily extended it before the first week ended and would recommend it.

Kareen was a fantastic host. A tidy and very spacious home with a great outdoor area - just a shame it rained all weekend but we made use of the board games instead! Thanks again!

This was a great peaceful place to stay. It allowed us to spread out and enjoy the rural surrounds. The property exceeded our expectations and Alistair was very responsive. To our questions. The new outdoor baths were a favourite, as were the multiple parts of the deck to enjoy at different times of the day.

Amazing and tranquil space in a lovely surrounding! Dog friendly and loved the fresh eggs! Great place for some R&R! Fire was nice, too.
