Lake houses in Lake Tekapo

Super epic location and Airbnb. It had the simple things we needed for our visit, and had a beautiful view of Mt Cook and was perfect for stargazing. We would recommend!!

Nice host, very quiet place! The householder was friendly and welcoming, and the location was peaceful—perfect for a relaxing stay. Also, I highly recommend visiting Fairlie Bakehouse for delicious treats.

We loved our stay in this very comfortable and scenic cottage. We were lucky enough to have snow during our stay, and it looked like a winter wonderland outside our windows. A path right in front of the cottage is a short walk into the village. Even though there was a lot of snow, we were cozy in the cottage with both a heater and a fireplace. Even the bathroom has an extra heater. We highly recommend this place!

Clare’s place was fantastic. So so well appointed with everything you could possibly need - it was so well considered. The location was stunning and perfect for a chilled cosy weekend in front of the log burner. Instructions for check in and the house itself were super easy to follow and Clare was brilliant for communication. Highly recommend adding on the spa pool for a relaxing soak overlooking a gorgeous view.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the cottage. It was so cosy and everything had been thought of - comfortable bed, skylight for stargazing, outdoor bath and even slippers. We appreciated all the baby items that were set up and the toys and books. It’s in a great location and a short drive to so many great walks and scenic spots. Thank you Sean & Jana for creating such a special place.

Absolutely loved Adele’s place. We met her when checking in and she shared great tips and recommendations for Lake Tekapo. We walked into town on a path right from the place and enjoyed the hill located so close. Unfortunately the weather didn’t allow us to stargaze but that did not stop us from enjoying our stay. We truly wish we stayed another day!

My partner and I had a fantastic time staying at this property. Not only was the location perfect, quiet and private, we also woke up to the most beautiful sunrise with snow covering the mountains. We would both highly recommend this place and would stay again in a heart beat.

We made a huge mistake when only booking this place for part of our stay. My thought was to jump around the South Island with my family at a couple stops. Had I known it was this awesome, then I would’ve booked our whole time at Anna’s. This place is exactly what my family loves. The kids will definitely be complaining about where we stay next. This property is AWESOME.

This place is amazing and have beautiful surroundings. A lot of thoughts put into it to make the stay comfortable for the guests. The place is unique from outside and super cozy inside. Definitely one of the highlight on our trip to South Island!

This is the place brings you peaceful mind. Will definitely bring back my parents here next time. It's so quiet and private that you can only hear the birds chirping. It's like the real-life ASMR that can calm you down. I really like all the facilities that keep guests stay warm. For example, the cap in the shower room, heating pad for every bed, and aircon is also available. Also we had several animal visitors like bunnies and a cat. Very nice and cute.

Listing was as described. Simiin was nice and welcoming. A little thrown off at first by separate hot and cold water sinks at faucets (so hard to get warm water), but soon learned that’s pretty common in NZ. Location was nice, right across street from Lake Tekapo.

This house is just a 27-minute drive outside of Tekapo. We were initially looking into staying at Tekapo but didn’t manage to find “the one” so we explored the towns just outside and found this beautiful place. This house is in the perfect location! This house was well thought of all the floor to ceiling windows just makes you enjoy the view. It snowed on the first night and it felt like we were inside a snow globe - magical! Beds were comfortable, bathrooms had all we needed and the kitchen is well equipped. Definitely worth the drive and worth every penny. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back! ❤️

What a wonderful house! We arrived at the beginning of a rain storm, and we were so happy to see the heat was already on. It was a nice surprise to walk into a cozy warm house. The next morning we woke to find the mountains all around covered in snow. The views from the house were spectacular. Make sure you bring food when you come, the nearest stores are about 25-30mins away. If you’re anything like us, once you are settled in for the night you don’t want to drive an hour for dinner. The home has a nicely stocked kitchen with most things you need to cook a meal. There was plenty of firewood to keep a nice fire going all day, and the hot tub out back was quite enjoyable.

Adele’s place was absolutely incredible — peaceful, private, and surrounded by the beauty of nature, with sheep grazing in the nearby pasture. The outdoor tub under the stars was a magical extra! Everything was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully designed, making it the perfect way to end our New Zealand holiday. Thank you Adele!

Julies place was beautiful warm and cosy felt like home. The cottage was so well equipped with everything we could possibly need. Plus gorgeous brekkie supplies. The bed was a super king fabulous. I did the farm tour was so wonderful loved it... was the cherry on the cake feeding Tommy the sheep his bottle. highly recommend this gorgeous cottage.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Noela's. Place was spotlessly clean and very warm and cozy. Was a great base for us to explore the local area. House was well set out and had everything we needed for our stay. Noela communicated with us very well about how to check in and also checked in with us that we had everything we needed during our stay. 10/10 would stay there again!
