Monthly Rentals in Morpeth

A very warm welcome from Barbara who met us and then gave us a tour of her lovely home answering any questions we had. A delightful beginning to our 3 night stay in the beautiful town of Morpeth. Her home is very comfortable and a perfect stay for travellers keen to see the Northumberland area. The town of Morpeth is a real gem and we thoroughly enjoyed the shops and cafes on offer. The Adams bakery is particularly worth a visit. As Australians, we love Marks and Spencers, so having one just a 3 minute stroll from our holiday home was the icing on the cake. We appreciated the lovely hamper that Barbara left for us and also a tour of her home explaining everything, especially the AGA which we really enjoyed using. A great place to stay and a lovely town to visit. Thanks for making our stay so lovely Barbara. My little milk bottle will bring me fond memories of our visit.

I was spending a week in Northumberland, planning to visit Hadrian's Wall and the coastal castles. I focused on Morpeth as a central location ... and Maria's place was available. Indeed, it was easy to walk to the train station for quick transport to Newcastle, Durham, or even Berwick (this avoiding traffic and car park costs). Morpeth itself was a quaint town as I did have a wonder around on a "down day" - lots of green parks and historic buildings! Maria's loft was very comfy when I was not traveling. Her kitchen offered everything I needed to a cup of tea ... and a meal! The bathroom offered a hot shower ... and tub, too! The bed was comfy. She even provided a fan as Northumberland experienced a heat wave! Maria's loft was perfect for what I needed - a place to lay my head in between my adventures in the local area. I was a solo traveler, but could easily share the space with a travel companion. I would stay again!

Very nice accommodation and easy to find (in addition it is very well explained). Everything is clean, works well and is tidy. The place is peaceful and you may have the chance to meet horses or the dog mascot. Special mention to everything that is offered for breakfast, it's really a nice touch.

Sarah was very easy to contact with any questions and gave us good advice with things to do locally. The location is quite and peaceful but within a 5 minute drive you can be close to shops, restaurants etc should you wish. The bed was sooo comfy. I would definitely stay again. 1 thing I would suggest is to read the instructions on how to get there provided by Sarah. I didn't until I got lost, then followed them exactly and took me right to the door 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
