wonderful, fresh, airy flat in Merchiston. noisiest things were birds and squirrels. thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Alex's flat was great! We had an amazing time and felt that the property was brilliant. It's located in a beautiful area, with a lot to do, from which the city centre is walkable. The host was always quick to respond to any questions we had. We cannot fault the Airbnb, but as others have mentioned the flat is top floor and accessed only through a flight of stairs up 5 floors which may not be suitable for some, but was fine for us!

Probably the most beautiful apartment we have ever stayed in during vacations!! Very spacious apartment with large rooms and plentiful amenities which made it ideal when travelling with two young children. Andrew provided extra support with a high chair and baby cot to make us comfortable as well. Neighbourhood is walking distance to the core Old Town area. Local large park nearby was perfect for kids to run around in after spending the day in the city. Would not hesitate to stay in this apartment again during our next visit. Thank you Andrew!

Our stay in this accommodation was perfect, it’s very well equipped and very confortable The location is also perfect, the bus stop is just next to the house, is very good to explore Edinburgh We highly recommend !

We were very pleased with the accommodation and especially with the lovely hostess! Both check-in and check-out were very easy and flexible. The apartment is totally cute. The bed was a little too small for my 1.98 tall boyfriend and me, but we got along well. The place is exactly as pictured and has everything you need. You can easily reach the city center of Edinburgh, as the buses leave every 5 minutes 2 minutes away and the beautiful thing is that you can see other parts of the city through the slightly further location, which I always find beautiful. There are many shopping facilities and also cafes and restaurants if you do not want to eat in the city. Thank you dear Alanna for letting us stay with you. We had a valuable and lovely time!

Lovely flat, very well equipped with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Thoughtful little touches such as sweets, drinks, and breakfast basics for late arrivals were much appreciated. Convenient bus connections. The host was extremely kind and friendly.

I arrived at the flat after 10pm and so was especially grateful for crystal clear and easy instructions for access. The stairs are a bit of a hike for anyone not used to living in a walk up, but I’m a not especially athletic 66 and was fine even with my carry-on suitcase & large backpack. The place gets 5 stars from me for the super-responsive, pleasant, and helpful host and the lovely residential but fun neighborhood, perfect for the working traveller who prefers local charm. Breakfast at Romina & a leisurely cappuccino with my iPad at Books ‘n Cups was the ideal way to start a day when I did not have to be anywhere until late morning. I made a venison steak for dinner just so I could feel a little local by patronizing the charming butcher shop around the coroner from the flat. A couple of local bars (side by side) stay open until “late.” There’s a range of ethnic & other restaurants, & several book shops, including Rare Birds, which specializes in women authors (get the name?).

It was a very beautiful room and we had a pleasant vacation. Edinburgh is very beautiful.

Stayed here with my family of two kids and two adults and it was perfect! Jonny was so helpful and communicative, and made sure we were set for our first time in Edinburgh. The flat was a great size and had everything we wanted, and Jonny keeps it very clean. It was great to be walking distance to all Royal Mile sights, and we didn’t need a car while we were there. I watched the sunset colors on the crags every night and it was magical! This was a great find and we would absolutely stay there again!

The place is walkable distance to great bars and the botanical garden. Close to the bus stop as well that takes you to the royal mile in 15mins. The place has all the listed amenities. You can hear the noise in the hallway and front door banging. I would've liked an airtight door to create some soundproofing. The upstairs neighbor noise wasn't a big problem for me. The place was clean and kitchen was fully stocked!

This was my favourite stay on Airbnb so far. Mark was an incredible host, with great communication, clear instructions and generosity with everything (we made full use of the Nespresso machine 😂). The flat itself was beautiful, very nicely decorated. you can tell just from looking at it that a lot of thought and effort went into it, has a lot of personality, and quite clear that mark uses it himself as well. would definitely recommend to anyone who doesn't mind the slightly higher price and a few flights of stairs :)

We loved our stay at Emanuele's flat. It was exactly like the pictures and felt very cozy. It felt great to come back and relax after a long day of exploring the city.

An exceptional apartment with an exceptional host. The place is quiet, spacious, super clean, super comfortable. The entire apartment was beautifully decorated and had useful as well as interesting books. The living room/dining room is huge and pleasant to relax in. The kitchen had everything we needed and was stocked with lots of staples. The outdoor garden sitting area is beautiful. We really enjoyed staying here. Pierson is a great communicator and was helpful from our first inquiry all through our visit and checkout. Stockbridge is a perfect area to stay in: walking distance to all attractions in Edinburgh but a village in its own right with great shops and food. Do not miss I. J. Mellis Cheesemongers. They have so many cheeses from local UK and small producers. Their staff is friendly and happy to offer samples and teach. We had a wonderful long afternoon at the nearby Botanic Garden. We will be back!

I spent nearly four months in Wendy's accommodation. I had a great time there! The apartment itself offers great views, and the room is very comfortable. It is easily accessible by bus and has a good connection to the city centre and main University Campus, as well as being close to a big supermarket and the beach. Being on the outskirts of the city and by the sea, it made it very easy to find peace, walking along the beach or visiting my personal favourite place, Newhailes Estate. For those coming to study here: the bus connection to the University of Edinburgh's King's Buildings is not great, especially on the way back, and if you'll have to be there a lot I'd recommend getting a bicycle, which is about twice as fast. Wendy is a very friendly host, who is usually not home during the day but if you run into her and she has time she will be open for a chat - for example sharing stories or music. She loves baking, and might leave something she made in the fridge for you!

Was a good place and close to restaurants and the station. Had come for a conference and was very easy to commute to the international centre. Very reasonable prices as well! We had a good time. Thank you
