Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Morningside, Edinburgh

Melissa’s flat has been put together with so much thought, it is stylish, cosy, and comfortable. It is perfectly located to be walkable for all the main sites in Edinburgh and has lots of nice restaurants, coffee shops, and bars nearby (and Melissa provided a guidebook to help find the best spots). Melissa was incredibly accommodating and even arranged an infant cot for us. Would absolutely stay again!

Melissa was a friendly, helpful and very responsive host. The house was exactly want we wanted and expected. The place was also spotless. The rooms were all good sizes and the bathroom was modern and had a really nice shower (with a bath for the kids) l. The location was great for our little family that wanted space in the evenings but happy to travel a bit to get into Edinburgh, we found the short drive to Kirkcaldy where we could park at the station and get a train directly into central Edinburgh worked perfectly for us. Or you could use as a base for driving to different parts of Scotland. I wish we had time to look at the local area some more as it's near a coastal path. I would definitely come again and recommend to others.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage is very cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. Our toddler especially loved exploring outside and had a great time running around the old Kirk next door. A lovely, peaceful spot—we’d definitely stay again!

The Shiel House was an absolutely stunning and massive property. We visited as a large group of 8 on a golf trip, and this was the perfect Airbnb. It was beyond spacious, with all the amenities a large group would need for a week long stay. The location was great for us with popular golfing destinations like St Andrews and Gleneagles within driving distance, as well as a litany of local courses. We also were within driving distance of Edinburgh with plenty of fine dining options. Tim was a very gracious and helpful host who provided clear instructions on locating the property, as well as a fun treasure hunt that takes you around the property and to local spots. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the property and the host!!

This beautiful home held everything we were looking for. The area is very walkable and peaceful. Kenneth was lovely to welcome us and we had everything we needed. Lovely stay!

Great base to explore the city. About a 40min walk to Old Town. Beds are comfortable and Jamie was very helpful. Thanks for everything!

We had a fantastic stay at Green Cottage. Craig was very helpful from the start with travel tips and luggage drop off information. Craig provided very useful information for checking in and locating the cottage, everything was easy to follow. The cottage is in a lovely location, within walking distance of the Royal Botantial Gardens and the coast line. It is also near many bus routes and easy to visit all the tourist sites in Edinburgh.

We had a wonderfull stay in this almost like new house. Highly recommanded!

Highly recommend this rental. It was pristine, perfectly presented and in a beautiful location. I could not find one fault with any aspect of the apartment or its location and if you are looking for a welcoming, comforting and accessible place to experience Edinburgh, this is it. The centre of the city was about 15-20 mins walk (depending on leg length) and there were a couple of small grocery shops and restaurants within 5 mins. The neighbourhood was extremely safe with a cool vibe and right next to a gorgeous park where you could play a round of golf if you wished! Staying at Peter's place will always be a good decision.

We absolutely loved this charming, sweet flat! One of our all time favorite Airbnbs - it was homey, thoughtfully and tastefully decorated - even all the window blinds were beautiful! As an added bonus, the beds were SO comfortable and cozy. Close walk to a bus stop that is only a short ride to see the sights. Momo was an incredibly attentive and accommodating host, very responsive and lovely to communicate with!

Yvonne's apartment is very comfortable, well equipped and an ideal location for exploring Edinburgh on foot (20 mins walk to the castle). The garage parking space makes it a great deal if you have a car. Yvonne gave us a lot of helpful information about the local shops and restaurants as well as Edinburgh in general.

This is a small flat that is completely updated. The host is PHENOMENAL! Genuinely concerned about your stay and tries to make everything convenient and pleasant. We stayed here with our daughter and her boyfriend. Apartment is extremely well appointed! Only downsides are the space is small / a bit tight for 4 adults. 3 minute walk from rail station is a plus, but front door and entrance are kind of grim. Apartment is one flight up and SO much nicer than the entrance - do not be discouraged!!!

Very cosy space and extremely well located in the older section of Edinburgh. Easily walkable to excellent restaurants and local attractions.

Stayed here for 2 nights with 5 other adults - one of the best decisions! As a start, check-in was smooth. Everyone has their bed, towels which is great. Had to figure out the heater (our country is Summer all year) and Lukas was very responsive. This location is almost a straight drive to the city centre. With free parking at the location, it gave us great relief to know we won’t get penalised. Love this place! I would recommend this to others.

Entering this well appointed, beautiful home, there is a feeling of warmth and relaxation. The skylights bring in the natural light to the bathrooms. The Kitchen is modern and sleek, with everything you need to make a first class meal. The visually stunning, spacious backyard has a wonderful garden. There is a park just behind the house. My daily jog would lead me down to the beach. Here i would do a quick cold plunge- rejuvenating my body. The area is surrounded by a world renowned collection of golf clubs. The Longniddry golf club is a short walk and is a fun track. Thank you for being great hosts.
